Hello there!
I'm a masters degree student from Norway. For my thesis I have developed four Android 4.0 apps. These apps are similar to discussion forums, and they have different design solutions. I'm trying to find out which design is the best for making good discussions!
In order to do this, I was hoping some of you would want to try out one of the apps! Basically, I am planning to have a "test period" for about one week, where people can use the app for discussion. After this I have a quick survey with some questions relating to the application, and the discussion itself.
If you would like to participate, please let me know by sending an e-mail to [email protected] or leave your mail adress here so I can get back to you.
Cheers,
Audun Sørheim

First it all, I apologize for using this forum for this search. But I don't ask for replies or comments in this forum, send an email to [email protected] if you feel you are a good fit. We'll take it from there, I need somebody with experience in Android development:
Data entry forms/activities
Local database (SQL medium level)
Eclipse and Android plug-in
Good humor and working on heavy work load environments
Dare to work with new Android technology
The interviews are not going to be easy, no fakes or wanna bees please. Save your time and mine if you are not a fit for this.
And again, you can ignore this posting if it doesn't concern you please.
Hello
I have a couple of ideas for applications that would be useful to smartphone users, and am only getting started gathering information.
Of the two ideas I have, one could be developed as a web application (so that a single application can be used on a PC and a smartphone) and the other probably needs to be written specifically for each platform (because it needs to handle calls).
I checked the sticky posts in the General forum, along with the wiki, and the home page, but didn't find an article for newbies that would provide a short, 10,000-feet view of what the options are, etc.
So to make an informed decision, I'd like to know what, at this point and in the near future, the main options are to write applications, with advantages and disadvantages for each.
Thank you.
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
I am currently looking to interview a few Android Application Developers for my CIS121: Logic and Design class. I have an academic paper due at the end of the term and the topic of research is Android Application Development. This is a very interesting topic to me. I figured I should stop by XDA and grab some input from the best of developers around. Please inbox me, or post below and I will inbox you and we'll set something up. Thanks guys!
Hi,
I'm Tim and we developed an Android app and started a startup in Germany. However, the app is free. Therefore, I hope that posting about the app in this forum to search cyanogenmod users is ok. If not, please delete this post.
I post here, because I, myself, love cynongenmod custom roms and would like to find out more about the compatibility of our app. Therefore, I search people that like to try new apps that report if it works from them. The app is location based and in beta (so not perfect yet) and for my cm10.1 on an Lg P990 and cm on a Galaxy S3 it works. I'd be curious about other phones. Therefore, I thought this forum here is the best place to find like minded people that use cm - Maybe even someone has the onplus one and can test it
We have the app for beta testers open and you can get it on our page STAPPZ com or find us on facebook (STAPPZ)
OK- now i talked so much about what we would like to test - here a brief description:
What is STAPPZ? In short, it is answer to the question: “What is live near me?”
With STAPPZ you participate in an open conversation with pictures and text at your current position. You create and perpetuate your own STAPPZ: Moments, noteworthy facts or any other information that you consider relevant.Nearby fellows (other STAPPZ users) see those STAPPZ and respond to them by posting something themselves or by saving them in their profile. This way, the people joining STAPPZ enrich and weave the world, collaborate and take advantage of the knowledge that others left around them.
However, if you like the app and have some feedback in other directions or you want more info or to blog about it, please let us know.
We'd be so glad to get feedback if it runs on your cm devices.
Kind regards
Tim
Hey, guys!!!
I am not very talented at coding because of the lack and the lazyness of figuring out how it works. Therefore I would like to ask the community of the forum to make a good looking app which should help people to plan and should have features like entering dates on a calander, to do, timer with data and link an webpage with the app. The app should not be bad looking and should have all features. If done so I will pay on a fixed amount of money of course not too much but starting from 45 $/€ onwards. If you are good at coding this will be a quick opportunity of making a lot of cash.:fingers-crossed::good::angel:

P.S the linking of the website will be send if you write an email to me and are interested. Could you guys please keep in mind that this app should be finished by the end of this week and the features should be included.
Hi!
You could ask for help here:
>*Android Development and Hacking*>*Android Software Development
You'll want to start your thread title with [Help] or maybe [Request] for easily identified as such a thread.
Good luck!
