I recently updated to 12.2.4.0 (RJKEUXM) and now cannot open some apps by tapping on notifications from them in the notification pull-down drawer. When I tap on the notifications, nothing happens and I need to open the app via the app drawer.

I am running the stock Samsung 4.3 rom on my Verizon Galaxy S3.* I use Floating Notifications to manage my app notifications.*As Android 4.3 now incorporates the Android Listener Service to handle notifications, I am able to dismiss notifications from my notification bar by dismissing the Floating Notification for the corresponding app.* I have tried multiple SMS apps including stock, and this feature works fine.* However, when I clear the Floating Notification for GoSMS, the message icon on the status bar blinks (where as the rest would go away) and stays in the notification drop down, making me pull down the notification bar and manually swipe it away.* I can also use the Floating Notification to open up*the message within GoSMS, and it still shows I have a new*message (and the LED blinks) until I go in and manually dismiss from notification drop down.* Is this a GoSMS issue?
Thanks!

It might be. I haven't used GoSMS in about a year but is there a notification setting that may be overriding Floating Notification? Which other sms apps have you tried because if those all work perfectly fine then I'd have to put the blame on GoSMS barring an overriding setting. I'm using Floating Notifications and it works great for just about every app I've used it with however I've only been using stock sms on JB TW and AOSP JB/KitKat.
Hi!
The Facebook app shows the Facebook icon notification counter like i have a notification on Facebook, even though i have opened facebook and have no notifications left.
I even checked the Facebook app in the app drawer, wich does not show a notification.
Any chance anyone knows if this is being cached and if i can disable this caching?
Open Security app
Click to Utilities tab
Scroll down then click to App lock
Enter password/pin/graph
Lock Updater app
Press settings icon on right top
Click to Hide notification content
Enable for Updater app
And that is it. You will no longer recieve notification. If there is nothing like step 8, then update your Security app via apkmirror, settings, or getapps
People, I switched to miui with emui and was already tortured with these settings.
Tell me how to disable these window overlays in notifications?
There is no such problem with WhatsApp, but with standard messages and Telegram.
Is it some kind of broken floating window or something?
They seem to look different - with rounded corners.
And here is some kind of crap in the form of a floating shortcut that can be expanded by a third of the screen.
And this is a square mini window with a human face. Very annoying.
Video link:
In settings, go in "Notifications & Control Center", "Notification shade", and chose Android instead of MIUI.
As well, for disabling the "pop up" windows, go in the notification settings of the app and disable "Floating Notifications"

Even this seems to not work for the Google Android Messages app, disabled the floating notifications for the app and set the shade to Android instead of MIUI but still no luck.
I get notifications at the lock screen (for email and text), and when I clear them, the icon badges disappear. I have unread email and text messages piling up any solution??
This is normal behavior. Notification badge numbers will be disappeared in the notification is dismissed since the notification badge is linkage with notification.
However, You can enable and disable app icon badges for all apps or for individual apps. Android O gives you complete freedom to choose which apps can add that extra bit of information to your Home Screen.
Open the Settings app and go to Apps & Notifications. Tap Notifications and enable or disable app icon badges by flipping the Allow icon badges switch on or off respectively.
