GoSMS, S3, and Floating Notifications - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I am running the stock Samsung 4.3 rom on my Verizon Galaxy S3.* I use Floating Notifications to manage my app notifications.*As Android 4.3 now incorporates the Android Listener Service to handle notifications, I am able to dismiss notifications from my notification bar by dismissing the Floating Notification for the corresponding app.* I have tried multiple SMS apps including stock, and this feature works fine.* However, when I clear the Floating Notification for GoSMS, the message icon on the status bar blinks (where as the rest would go away) and stays in the notification drop down, making me pull down the notification bar and manually swipe it away.* I can also use the Floating Notification to open up*the message within GoSMS, and it still shows I have a new*message (and the LED blinks) until I go in and manually dismiss from notification drop down.* Is this a GoSMS issue?
Thanks!

It might be. I haven't used GoSMS in about a year but is there a notification setting that may be overriding Floating Notification? Which other sms apps have you tried because if those all work perfectly fine then I'd have to put the blame on GoSMS barring an overriding setting. I'm using Floating Notifications and it works great for just about every app I've used it with however I've only been using stock sms on JB TW and AOSP JB/KitKat.

[Q] Handcent Constant Notification

Love Handcent, however notifications don't seem to work how I would like them to. I close pop up window, clear notification bar, however unread messages pop back up in notification bar and led starts blinking again after screen timesout to off. Only way I get the led to stop blinking is by marking message read, which I don't always want to do, as I might forget. No other sms notifications on in other apps are active.
Anyone know of settings to make it so the led does not re-blink on screen timeout after closing pop up window (preferred method), or clearing notification bar? I like seeing the green line next to sms for later when I get an actual moment to reply.

[Q] How do you disable scrolling sms notifications in the notification bar.

[Q] How do you disable scrolling sms notifications in the notification bar.
I specifically have the Atrix if it matters but have a friend that needs ot done as well and I am unsure of their phone. I have checked the settings tons and couldn't find anything. Is there an app that allows me to still use the stock sms application but just disable the scrolling notification?
I do wish to still keep the envelope just not the scrolling text.
Don't know about the Atrix, but on the Samsung stock messaging app, open the app>settings>notifications>untick.

If I turn of the notifications within the stock app it removes the envelope as well. I would llike to keep that if possible so I have some sort of notification I have a message but without it previewing the message with the scrolling text

Messenger (SMS) notifications disappearing after 1 second

When I receive a text message (using Google's Messenger), the screen lights up and I see the notification on the lock screen. After 1 or 2 seconds, without any input, the notification disappears before I can do anything. This has caused me to miss several (somewhat) important text messages because when I go back, the notification is no longer there to remind me to check my messages.
Any suggestions of how to fix this?
Same issue on LG V20 running Android 7.0. Started with Hangouts messages only and then spread to SMS/text messages yesterday. heads up notification displays for fraction of a second before disappearing. Same behavior with notification icon in notification bar. Shows for split second before apparently being instantaneously dismissed. Expanding notification shade shows no notification. I thought it was my messaging app Textra, but full uninstall re-install did not fix. Tried reverting to stock Android messaging app, still no fix. Reverted from Nova to stock Launcher, no fix. This is maddening! Sounds like it might be an OS bug, but your the first person to post something exactly like I'm experiencing. Hopefully more find this and report. No fix as of yet that I've found.
I had a chat with Samsung support where basically they had me first boot into safe mode to ensure no 3rd-party apps were messing it up (they weren't). Then (in regular boot mode), I had to enable all disabled apps (AT&T bloatware). Then, I enabled notifications for all apps.
This fixed my issue well enough. The notifications appear, then go away after a second, but then immediately come back. It's still quirky, but now the notifications are persistent.

Enable banner notification for received e-mails?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ running Android 8.0.
I use the Samsung Email v5.0.x app.
When I'm using the phone, if I receive an e-mail, it doesn't appear from the top of the screen in a temporary banner-style notification.
I simply hear the audio notification, the icon appears in the notification bar and the notification appears in the notification tray.
Some other apps produce a banner notification (e.g. Messenger).
I don't see any options in App Notification settings.
Any idea how to enable this?

Lockscreen SMSs showing as icons, not expanded.

My friend has an international A51 running stock latest OS. When he receives an SMS or a whatsapp message, it shows up as an icon in the lock screen, he'd need to click the little arrow to expand, I tried looking in settings but can't find where to re-enable expanded view of notification items by default. smart pop up view is disabled for all apps, even if a single whatsapp message shows up or a single SMS (so the lockscreen isn't full), lockscreen still show it as an icon. How do I solve this?
Thanks!
Well I looked around but couldn't find it anywhere.
Anyone?
just change the view style to details in lock screen notifications settings.

It's possible I found it once before Now I do not remember exactly which part it was But you should check the settings for the notifications, or the Display
Try another thing: Disable the edge Lighting settings
I tried looking around a few times but can't seem to find it. I'll give a try today.
Thanks!
