When I try to start Nethunter it says it needs root access, which I've granted with SuperSU. I definitely have the SU binary installed. It also says I need Busybox installed, which I do. The only thing is that it says Busybox needs to be installed in system/xbin. How would I make sure of this? I went into recovery to move it, but couldn't find such a location. I just re-flashed lineage because I was going to attempt to use Magisk, but kept having issues despite having my stock ROM installed, but I wasn't facing this issue, although it still wouldn't let me use Nethunter to install chroot. What do I need to do here? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I finally got Koush's Superuser manager to install, hoping that it would allow the built in superuser to activate(considering that the built in superuser is the same thing), however it doesn't manage properly. Exacting the su binary from the CM 11m8 build for bacon didn't work when manually installled. Anybody have any ideas?
And yes I've used SuperSu on it, so please don't suggest it.
Hello everyone!
I would like to ask you something and i REALLY HOPE someone will be able to help me out.
I have a samsung s5 sm-g900f with Android 6.0.1 and i'm trying to root it.
Actually it was supposed to be rooted when i got it -it's my bf's phone. And...aaam i don't know if it's called "rooted" when it just have custom recovery and rom? I just call it that way-. Yesterday i installed root checker and Super SU and the Super SU keeps saying that "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it" and that if i have Android 5 i should re root manually and stuff.
I have tried like everything i have found on the net since yesterday, flashing with Odin, changing recovery from twrp to cwm, and all the time the steps are made by letter, all seems fine, i see the red pirate android after the recovery reboot and all that, have tried to install the UPDATE-zip and the BETA-zip and all i could find. I tried to install Kingroot but i couldn't figure out how. My recovery nor Odin can see the file to install it and then i try to do it manually, like all apps, it says could not be installed. :crying:
I got really tired and i cave in to ask for help here. I hope the post is in the right place and if it's not please move it where it should be!
Thank you in advance!

Since you can flash custom recovery then your bootloader is already unlocked so....
Do a search for "flashing SuperSU.zip Galaxy S5" or you might need to search for "flashing SuperSU.zip in systemless mode galaxy s5". Flashing one of those should give you root and su binaries, after flashing, boot the device and open the SuperSU app and update the su binaries then reboot the device. Then after rebooting, you need to go to system settings>developer options>root access and set it to "apps and adb", then install a file manager that has a root explorer such as ES File Explorer, then open it, tap the menu button, go to the "TOOLS" tab, find "Root Explorer" and turn it on, then when you see the next menu, tap "Mount R/W", then set all listed partitions to "rw".
If you can access your SELinux profile, make sure it's set to "permissive" mode.
If you can get all of that set then you'll have access to modify and control pretty much anything you want about the device.

thank you!!!
i wont be able to try it for a few days but i'll try it as soon as i can and give you feedback on this!
So i'm trying to follow your instructions right now. I guess it's ok if i install recovery upon recovery and SU upon SU without first removing the "faulty" one?
Cause i have done the first steps a lot these days
edit: i flashed again aaaaaand nothing new happened. The SU binary is nowhere to be found :/
some say it could be a problem of the cable or the computer?
Should i try from a different pc and cable? I do not really understand it but i'll give it a try later
edit 2: i retried from another pc and another usb cable, the same happens. Does not install the SU through the recovery
I installed the SuperSU (actually enebled it again and updated it) from playstore and opened it and it says the sme thing again. Can't find su binaries and stuff.
What should i do? Is format a solution or can avoid it?
Hey all,
Just purchased a LG U2 and now trying to make it work in the way i want it.
All informations here seem very old, so I wanted to open an update thread, with all what is possible on th lgu2, while
I found only very outdated informations...:crying:
So far:
First I setup the watch with AW2.0, after that flashed twrp 3.1.1.0 and supersu wear 2.82
I managed to get busybox installed and wanted further add Xposed.
There my problem starts, flashing xposed didn't work out.
So right after that, I switchd to Magisk root, to try work with the modules supplied.
(Steps -> use script UnSU, after that flash boot.img again, than flash MAgisk through twrp)
But after that the same with the modules. I try to install busybox, magisk tell me its no magisk module (i've downloaded the module and pushed it on the sd through adb, while the download button isn't reachable in magisk dialogue menu)
in twrp the module tells me there is no magisk installed.
so how can we go on from here? is there a way to make it all work?
did somebody try to change dpi and download the module directly through magisk? does it work?
also if somebody could help with an updated list of sideload able full android apps?
would need an email that can handle at least two accounts directly on the watch (please not advice outlook, its working from the phone i know)
thanks to all in advance

Ok i did a fresh flash.
i see my fault was to install busybox the first time after installing supersu.
did it this time without and mgisk works so far fine. granting access for total commander no problem.
but now another thing. i installed now busybox from the repos in magisk, he say installation successful, but the module isn't there after reboot?
anyone got the same?

another try. i switched back to supersu wear 2.82, installed stericsons busybox. works.
installed xposed sdk25 via twrp, says success, but after reboot xposed installer says no active framework.
i used a systemless framework... will search for the link again.
anybody got it done this way?
I was about to put this in the main discussion thread of FlashFire, but it was closed so i decided to post it here.
So this is what happened, i rooted my Xiaomi Redmi Go with Magisk, the latest one, and when i opened FlashFire, it basically said that i have root, but access couldn't be acquired. It added "Found root: 19.4:MAGISKSU".
It was said in the Supported roots that Magisk is included so can't i use this app? I also tried to change my SELinux to permissive mode by going to the terminal and putting "setenforce 0", and the app still won't let me.
Any solutions to this? I was about to do perform a live backup through this app because the current TWRP version for this device is defective for my phone, the Backup option doesn't work and I've been looking for ways to backup my phone without custom recovery, but still with root of course.
Any help would be appreciated, thankyou!
Flashfire is discontinued so it is no longer compatible with the latest versions of Magisk
You might try going back to a older Magisk. It's definitely going to be before 19.3 but it may need to be older than that. There are two ways of doing this.
Set a custom channel in Magisk manager (install the older manager first).
Download the older release. If you're not familiar with github, expand the assets link under the release you want. The zip files will be listed there.
Make sure to remove the newer Magisk first.

So is there solution that i can bypass that error ?
Hello everybody, I am new to this wonderful community.
I decided to write this post after over 24hours spent on trying to solve this issue:
I have a Galaxy S6 G920F.
I flashed TWRP through Odin, and bypassed dm-verity.
I then formatted the memory and installed LineageOS 16 for my device, from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/lineageos-16-hwc-fixed-download-t3970729
Then installed Google Apps stock arm 64.
Then flashed Magisk.
After that, I flashed NetHunter from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...s6-nougat-aosp-kernel-nethunter-t3671858/amp/ Android Pie Version.
It installed succesfully but didn t install any apps, just the wallpaper. I then proceeded to install the nethunter apps manually, but had many problems and ultimately could not install chroot and cannot get Busybox to be recognized by nethunter.
I then realized that Magisk could be the issue, so I formatted and started over, trying to use SuperSu instead of Magisk, but no luck so far. It flashes succesfully but when i open the app, no root acces is found. Then i started over and tried with the LOS SU addon, but then nethunter cannot see root access.
I have started over dozen of times and I am really stuck. Some help would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much,
Daniel
