Multiple apps crash when opening them - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I unlocked the bootloader a few days ago and flashed a custom recovery and rom, ever since then some apps seem to either get stuck on the splash screen or just straight up crash on trying to open them. When I was on Pixel Experience android 10 rom, the whole os would crash when I opened some apps. Currently I'm running Resurrection Remix 8.6.7 and application like amazon, google photos, chrome and even F-droid and bromite crash when I try to open them, while other apps like firefox, whatsapp seem to work fine. Any help would be much appreciated.
P.S. I can also provide a logcat if that would be of any help.

Half of all the apps FC immediately, stock 7.1.2

What happens is
I install a popular app from play store, let's say Facebook
Installs fine, but as soon as I try to run it it force closes instantly.
I'm on stock 7.1.2, rooted, only modification is AdAway.
Happens with a lot of apps, but a lot of apps also just start normally.
Any ideas where to start? What could the issue be?
I have a lot of random FC also. A ton of app updates too. Figured it was just a new OS thing...

Did you recently flash 7.1.2? and if you did, did you dirty flash it over another rom or completely wipe your device and clean flash it?

Did you find this information somewhere? What did you do to fix things? Turn off Android System Web View?
Figured out myself, for some reason it doesn't show in Google Play, and as such doesn't update, but if I search for it manually in Google Play then I can see it and update it, altrough it still doesn't show under installed apps in G Play.

T mobile s5 with lineage 15.1 issues

I've been playing around with my phone for a couple days now, and have had some poor results. I have got to the point where I have the latest version that I can find of TWRP and have updated the os. No matter what I have tried to do or research I can't get any Gapps to work or let me log in to sync contacts or anything to do with the play store apps. Any and all help is greatly appreciated on where I'm going wrong with it.

Facebook, Messenger and Pages: unauthorized access to "libssl.so"

When I installed the Facebook app (and the Messenger and the Fb Pages app too) from Google Play on a freshly installed Lineage 15.1 (updated to the latest version as of today, 30 Dec 2018) on my OnePlus One, I am getting this strange error:
Detected problems with app native libraries: libheartbleed.so: unauthorized access to libssl.so.

Tried to uninstall/install. Same thing.
I'm attaching screenshots. I notice that the Facebook app falls back to an old UI if that's any clue.
Any ideas how I can resolve this?
Idem
Same issue here, on the same LineageOS version.
I solved by downloading the apps on apkmirror.

Yes, that works (I downloaded them from apkpure)! Thanks a lot!
Same here.
Solved issue only with Facebook by downloading app direct from fb website.
Play store offers me only extra old versions of fb and messenger app.
I'll install the apk directly.
Thx for the tips!!
Thanks for the solution.
I reported the issue to FB developers. Hope they'll fix it soon.

Lineage OS 18.1 on Xperia Z5 buggy on my device

Hello,
I have just installed tarkzim's Lineage OS 18.1 - the latest - version on my Z5 without Gapps. Unfortunately it turns out to be unusable because of a serious bug (at least on my phone it shows, and I have no better name for it than to call it a bug): launching the browser (indispensable on a smartphone) crashes the whole system and causes an immediate reboot.
I wonder if anyone else has encountered the same problem or if there is someone who has been able to fix this or has a workaround at least.
Otherwise I hope that the developer reads this here, too, and will look into the problem. For now my Xperia is bricked, but I will follow the development and forthcoming versions, of course, hoping for improvements.
I have another mobile - so I can live with that bricked one for a while ;-)
Hey,
I´ve got basically the same bug, but managed to play around a bit further. From what I could gather, the Phone crashes and reboots every time I open certain apps. I have Gapps istalled and notized two problems.
Crashes and reboot on startup of certain apps, like Chrome, pre istalled browser, Outlook, G-Mail, Mattermost or Amazon Shopping. Other apps seem to do fine. Firefox, k-9 Mail, Whatsapp, Telegram, Sotify work more or less without a problem.
Crashes and reboot on sign in. From the few that I tested, Vanced was the most interesting one because I could open and play Youtube Videos normally but it always crashed when I tried to log in. I could login through microg but since then my phone started to crash and reboot every few minutes. Uninstalling all vanced related apps did not solve the problem. Some apps crashed on sign in and since then werent able to get running again.
I really like the Lineage version, and I wouldn´t even mind finding the "working" apps using them (does´nt really matter to me if I use Chrome or Firefox) but certain apps I need to work like Mattermost.
I hope someone could help with our problem because I really want Lineage to work on the Z5. It feels so... clean and smooth.
Good to hear that someone else has similar issues with this LineageOS version - and regrettable, too, of course. Even without GApps it is unusable so far. But I really hope that this version is not the 'last word', and will continue improving. I know it is a big task for a programmer.
I have just seen that a new version is available. When I find the time, I will replace the version on my phone with the new one and report.

Workaround/solution for Google play services/store on Bliss 14.x.x+

As many of you know, bliss os 14.3 and it's variants usually have mixed results regarding wifi/BT connectivity, depending on your device(s), which in turn makes it nearly impossible to get the most out of the OS in most cases. I can't say for certain that this is a % fix/workaround, but, I wanted to share with you all in case this helps you get your OS up and going to your liking.
By default, Google play services loops or FC's out of the box. So I went out of my way on a working pc to DL from "apkpure" a current/up to date version of said apk, as well as the Play store, FX viewer and chrome. Then, I put them on a trusty usb, xferred them onto the laptop I use with 14.3 currently and just installed them all without running any of them afterwards. Next, I rebooted and then opened the play store and I was able to log into my account and start updating/installing apps as normal. Hopefully, this helps you all out too because I'm loving my laptop now and I'd be glad to help ya'll out too if I can. If someone can recompile bliss os images properly to include out the box current versions of Google service I'd love to hear from ya.
I also updated all apps but the problem still exists.
