Hello!
I have two ROMs (both rooted) for my Galaxy S6 edge SCV31 (SM-G925J)
First ROM has all languages enabled (wich i need) and works very good. But it only has data. It says "4g" and "No Serrvice" at the same tiem. I did not even know that is possible. I can browse internet and use data, but i can not make calls at all and noone can call me.
*#*#4636#*#* gives me Mobile network not available. attached jpg is from the ROM where calls do not work
Second ROM works for both- calls and data. But does not have languages and tweaks i want from the first ROM.
i tried to install second ROM, backup radio, and then restore the radio when first ROM is isntalled, but that did not help.
Is there any way i can take languages from one ROM and include them in the other? Or maybe there is a way to take Network settings from one ROM and include them in the other, so that i can get best from both?
Please let me know.
I have
- Windows but i can boot to Linux if necessary
- root for both ROMs
- TWRP 2.6.8
- Titanium backup.
- Recovery Backup
- can use ADB
Anyone?
Did you try this;

Thank you for you reply.
Unfortunately, language enablers like MoreLocale, or LanguageEnabler or any other like the one you suggested do not work, because the languages are not just disabled. They are stripped off (deleted) completely. Therefore there is nothing to enable. (this was the first thing i tried)
Thanks anyway for suggetstion

Hi Umka83.... Maybe i can help you! Can you give me the link of the second rom? I already build a lot of rom's for japanese Samsung devices and add languages to all of them. On my first try on building an custom rom for this model (SCV31), i have the same issues. I got the 4G and signal bars, on status bar. I can access the internet, but i can't make calls, because the device not connect to au network, resulting in No service. You have tested the sms too on the second rom? All au devices on Lollipop, are having issues with sms on custom roms. Can send sms but takes a long to receive. I notice, If i disable the data network, no issues on receiving sms.
Hello Frankbrazillian!
Thank you for yyour reply.
Here is the link for the ROMs

If this can be made into a new ROM that would be great for all SCV31 users.

Thanks my friend! I'll check the link tonight, after work. I forget to ask.... The second rom is an custom firmware too or is the stock? If are an custom rom, I only need 3 days to finish the work, but If are the stock version, unfortunatelly this don't help too much, because I already tried once and failed. After that, I don't have tried anymore, because I was very busy customizing roms for others devices... Anyway I'll let you know ... thank's for share the rom!

Last night i have tested the SpaceX rom and like you said, not working. I have tested the stock rom too and i notice, even doing any changes to system.img, just mounting the img to edit, i got the same problem. I think is dm-verity verification related. I will try to disable the dm-verity on boot.img to see what happens. Any news, i'll let you know.... thank's again, my friend!

Hi Reginaldo, how are you? Unfortunatelly the custom rom is not working with Au sim card. If your device are unlocked, you can use with gsm operators . One of the xda rules, is the use of the english language. You can use some translator app for that purpose. Any doubt , feel free to ask.
someone try this way please
I only want to give a better instruction how to unlock this model.
First, of course, you need this great box, Z3X. Then you need SPT box to write super IMEI.
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, WRITE DOWN THE ORIGINAL IMEI # somewhere. Make sure you know the original IMEI
1). Flash Combination file using Odin. After flashing, phone will be in Factory Binary Mode. Tab one Android logos at the bottom of the screen to get to dial pad and enter *#0808# and select DM+MTP+ADB then OK.
2). Use Z3X, select the SCV31 model and go to Repair tab and press on Reset MSL.
3). Write down the phone's original IMEI# somewhere and save it. Use SPT box and go to Service tab and in Repair IMEI, enter this super IMEI : 358012060753038 (this is an original factory unlocked IMEI) Use C3300 UART cable and write new IMEI to phone. After it finished, check to make sure you have the new IMEI in phone.
4). Flash FULL flash files (BL, AP, CP, CSC) and no need PIT file, using Odin.
5). After flashing full flash files, inset any SIM card, phone boots up and go to WIFI and turn on. Go to Settings>>About>>SIM card status. You should see Status: Not allowed. Tab on "Update SIM card status" at the bottom of the screen then wait until it finished and reboot. Go back to SIM card Status again and see if it shows Status: Allowed. If it is, then you're good to go to the next steps.
6). Repeat Step 1,2, and 3, except in Step 3, enter phone's ORIGINAL IMEI. After all steps done, check to make sure you have original IMEI in phone now.
7). Now flash FULL flash files (BL,AP,CP,CSC) again. After flashing is done, phone should be now UNLOCKED.
If you want to remove AU Japanese contents in ROM, you can flash this SPACX ROM using Odin:

none... no one has tried Relife RL-071 fingerprint calibration
So I have the same issues as everyone here... My cam is calibration, fingerprint, and no IMEI.
I fixed the IMEI issue with the file from this post.. I'm having a issue to where it acts like the cell radio is not turned on. And theres a X over the signal bars. Idk what else to try. I will try to attach a pic. The sim is reading .
Well, I have a device called "Tectoy ON 5029Y", the same as "Alcatel 3L 2020" (White Label), I'm trying to install a GSI on it, but I lose the IMEI and Baseband every time I unlock the bootloader, but if I block they come back, what am i doing wrong? I've done a lot of research on this device and there is little useful information.
I've already started GSI's, but they also have the same problem.
info:
MediaTek: MT6762
android default: 10

It will restore your IMEI, if it relocks your bootloader, you can unlock it again. Even flashing the newest version of your firmware should restore your IMEI and probably won't lock the bootloader in the process.

I've done this procedure before, about 4 times, the baseband and IMEI are never restored, only when I lock the bootloader. Also, until today I didn't have the stock of this smartphone, I used the Alcatel MU to restore it.
edit:
before I had restored after having installed the GSI, the bootloader did not come back locked, this time it came back! Then I unlocked it again and the IMEI disappeared again.

If you don't have EFS backup the only thing I know you can do is flashing stock ROM. That is what has been sorting it out for me. I think I've managed doing it once with ROM which was based on stock but I think that is very hard to happen in practice.

AFAIK on MTK devices an EFS partition / directory doesn't exist, but an NV ( NVRAM ) partition / directory.
BTW: A Stock ROM - the ROM compiled by OEM especially for each of its device models - never includes a device's IMEI. If it would be so then all phones of such a device series would have the same IMEI - which would be a complete nonsense.

Try to factory reset! When i lost IMEI on ZTE blade X3 its too helpful than i reset when this situation happen. and try to lock BootLoader again. and try to back to original ROM. +Turn off cell network and eject SIM card again and Turn on cell network after than you put SIM card again

I've already done that, the baseband and imei always disappear, when I lock the bootloader they come back. I don't know if this has to do with "Security boot MTK" or "AVB 2.0", I rooted and installed vbmeta, still the same problem remains.
@MrJosh18 Its maybe SIM problem.
Or ROM problem totally. MTK processors too vurneable to any BootLoader actions. Its maybe problems of Android telephony System apps.

Use this CLI tool to back up (Read option) your NVRAM, NVdata and NVCFG prior to unlock it (you can back up any existent partition you want), after that you can use this tool even to unlock it and either, for sake of curiosity or for future reference, see if it produces a different result (i.e. not erasing IMEI). https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
Also, you're right, you need to firstly fix the baseband null issue to can fix IMEI. What Droidriven suggested was flashing your stock ROM after to unlock bootloader, a ROM from other device even if it is from a similar or from a rebranded device won't work/make the same that the firmware for your exact model, I know, probably is not available anywhere, but this is a fact.
