Hello!
I have two ROMs (both rooted) for my Galaxy S6 edge SCV31 (SM-G925J)
First ROM has all languages enabled (wich i need) and works very good. But it only has data. It says "4g" and "No Serrvice" at the same tiem. I did not even know that is possible. I can browse internet and use data, but i can not make calls at all and noone can call me.
*#*#4636#*#* gives me Mobile network not available. attached jpg is from the ROM where calls do not work
Second ROM works for both- calls and data. But does not have languages and tweaks i want from the first ROM.
i tried to install second ROM, backup radio, and then restore the radio when first ROM is isntalled, but that did not help.
Is there any way i can take languages from one ROM and include them in the other? Or maybe there is a way to take Network settings from one ROM and include them in the other, so that i can get best from both?
Please let me know.
I have
- Windows but i can boot to Linux if necessary
- root for both ROMs
- TWRP 2.6.8
- Titanium backup.
- Recovery Backup
- can use ADB
Anyone?
Did you try this;

Thank you for you reply.
Unfortunately, language enablers like MoreLocale, or LanguageEnabler or any other like the one you suggested do not work, because the languages are not just disabled. They are stripped off (deleted) completely. Therefore there is nothing to enable. (this was the first thing i tried)
Thanks anyway for suggetstion

Hi Umka83.... Maybe i can help you! Can you give me the link of the second rom? I already build a lot of rom's for japanese Samsung devices and add languages to all of them. On my first try on building an custom rom for this model (SCV31), i have the same issues. I got the 4G and signal bars, on status bar. I can access the internet, but i can't make calls, because the device not connect to au network, resulting in No service. You have tested the sms too on the second rom? All au devices on Lollipop, are having issues with sms on custom roms. Can send sms but takes a long to receive. I notice, If i disable the data network, no issues on receiving sms.
Hello Frankbrazillian!
Thank you for yyour reply.
Here is the link for the ROMs

If this can be made into a new ROM that would be great for all SCV31 users.

Thanks my friend! I'll check the link tonight, after work. I forget to ask.... The second rom is an custom firmware too or is the stock? If are an custom rom, I only need 3 days to finish the work, but If are the stock version, unfortunatelly this don't help too much, because I already tried once and failed. After that, I don't have tried anymore, because I was very busy customizing roms for others devices... Anyway I'll let you know ... thank's for share the rom!

Last night i have tested the SpaceX rom and like you said, not working. I have tested the stock rom too and i notice, even doing any changes to system.img, just mounting the img to edit, i got the same problem. I think is dm-verity verification related. I will try to disable the dm-verity on boot.img to see what happens. Any news, i'll let you know.... thank's again, my friend!

Hi Reginaldo, how are you? Unfortunatelly the custom rom is not working with Au sim card. If your device are unlocked, you can use with gsm operators . One of the xda rules, is the use of the english language. You can use some translator app for that purpose. Any doubt , feel free to ask.
someone try this way please
I only want to give a better instruction how to unlock this model.
First, of course, you need this great box, Z3X. Then you need SPT box to write super IMEI.
BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, WRITE DOWN THE ORIGINAL IMEI # somewhere. Make sure you know the original IMEI
1). Flash Combination file using Odin. After flashing, phone will be in Factory Binary Mode. Tab one Android logos at the bottom of the screen to get to dial pad and enter *#0808# and select DM+MTP+ADB then OK.
2). Use Z3X, select the SCV31 model and go to Repair tab and press on Reset MSL.
3). Write down the phone's original IMEI# somewhere and save it. Use SPT box and go to Service tab and in Repair IMEI, enter this super IMEI : 358012060753038 (this is an original factory unlocked IMEI) Use C3300 UART cable and write new IMEI to phone. After it finished, check to make sure you have the new IMEI in phone.
4). Flash FULL flash files (BL, AP, CP, CSC) and no need PIT file, using Odin.
5). After flashing full flash files, inset any SIM card, phone boots up and go to WIFI and turn on. Go to Settings>>About>>SIM card status. You should see Status: Not allowed. Tab on "Update SIM card status" at the bottom of the screen then wait until it finished and reboot. Go back to SIM card Status again and see if it shows Status: Allowed. If it is, then you're good to go to the next steps.
6). Repeat Step 1,2, and 3, except in Step 3, enter phone's ORIGINAL IMEI. After all steps done, check to make sure you have original IMEI in phone now.
7). Now flash FULL flash files (BL,AP,CP,CSC) again. After flashing is done, phone should be now UNLOCKED.
If you want to remove AU Japanese contents in ROM, you can flash this SPACX ROM using Odin:

Hi all,
I do a lot of flashing my vox with no problems...
but today i tried to flash it with a rom i dl, and now my vox never start
i can't do a hard reset (cause no rom inside now)
i plug the usb, turn on with the camera button, i'm on the screen red green blue, but when i try to flash it again, i've got an error..
or UPDATE ERROR or INVALID VENDER ID
depends wich rom i try to flash
I don't know what to do .... i'm so sad
please all, HELP ME ....
i'm searching a solution...
cause i want unbrick my vox
i find in other smartphone or pda phone that i need a NO ID update utility
like : ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe
but for the VOX.
can someone help me please ?
UP .
i'm sorry but i really need someone to help me
Just reflash with your official rom at member.htc.com and you're done
there is no offiicial rom avaible, or i cant find it
cause my phone isn't a branded phone
i've a french sfr S710
EDIT :
i don't think that will work. i think my phone had his ID change so the best way is to have an updator with no_id.
is it possible ?
Did you try this?
Or ask Dr Gonzo! in french as you want
it's 3 part in .raw
i don't know what to do with this
Bonne raison pour t'acheter un iphone!!! lol
Sinon rends toi dans le magasin SFR le plus proche, que dire de plus.
sinon demande à quelqu'un de dumper son htc s710 SFR pour toi
okay first of all calm down.. your vox is far from bricked.. As long as you can get into the bootloader its not a very big deal..
What is the exact name of your model ? Is it a HTC S710 or SPV E650 or ?
Let me see if i can find the HTC rom and i will report back.. You need to flash that rom while the usb cable is plugged to the phone and your in the bootloader! Active sync won't connect, but that dosn't matter.. !
ok mine is a HTC S710 from SFR
i know iit will be ok by the bootloader, but i try lots of rom and nothing
i dont know where to find an official rom

Okay here you go found the newest official update from HTC
http://www.mypageofmanythings.com/files/RUU_Vox_HTC_WWE_1.34.405.1_4.1.13.54_03.10.90_Ship.exe
Download it.. Now follow these steps
1. Restart your computer !
2. Turn of the Vox completely (just remove and reinsert battery)
3. Wait untill the computer is started up and ready
4. Hold down camera button, insert usb cable, that is connected to pc, and keep holding it down untill you enter the bootloader
5. Now Active Sync won't start syncing, but you should hear the windows usb connection sound.
6. Launch the RUU and follow steps, just remember that an active sync connection isn't nesessary to flash the rom.
That should work. If not write back then i have another solution..
ok snifff
the same again
INVALID VENDER ID
... i need help
even i can try to send it in garanty ???
UP for today ?!!?
'cause i'l send it in garanty this afternoon...
so if someone have a solution
HardSPL FTW! Too bad none for us right now. USPL is good enough. Anyways...
When you start up into bootloader, either post a picture or copy down the versions and identification numbers and post them here so we have a bit more information.
I think we might need to patch and re-checksum an official ROM for your botched CID.
hi thx
so i cant put a picture.
here is the numbers :
ONBL 1.34.0000
SPL 1.34.0000
CPLD - 04
it's all i have on the bootloader screen
thx a lot helping me
EDIT :
this afternoon i can have the same phone like mine in hands.
maybe there is a way to back the rom of that one and flash into mine ??
but i'm not sre it's the same version of SPL or something else
Sry i didn't post yesterday went to bed..
But there is still a 2 solutions.. The one of them is if you get the INVALID VENDOR ID you could try TyphoonNBFTools and open the rom with it.. When you launch the update utility it will extract some files.. Those a usually located in the temp folder of your pc . You will need to edit one of these files BEFORE your begin the flash.
Get TyphoonNBFTools and open the *.NBF file from the temp folder on your pc with it. The RUU will be open in the background but that dosn't matter
Now when you have opened the NBF file with TyphoonNBFTools go to the Operator line and DELETE the contents in it! Save the file, close TyphoonNBFTools and continue the RUU ..
Now that you have removed the Operator code in the rom, it won't come op with the Invalid vendor ID error..
The other easy solution, is to flash the USPL located on top of this forum and after that reflash your rom. That should work right away!
ok i try
for the USPL rom on top of the forum i tried it doesn't work
i try TyphoonNBFTools

get your phone into bootloader mode,by pressing and holding camera button, while pressing reset button. your device's screen will become tri-colored, and connection with pc will lost. next, you should run this file

at the end, the official t-moble rom will be on your device.

@Willian Massaki :
Em Portugues : da uma olhada neste link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389121), Phunxx tambem tem um P4351 da TIM e este usado a ROM Open Touch 4.0 sem problemas, vale a tentativa.
In English : have a look at this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389121), Phunxx also has a P4351 from TIM and is using the Open Touch 4.0 ROM without problem, might worth a try

Hi, do you try to start the bootloader an after that install any rom for this model (atlas, wing, p4351 is just the same!!!) this also happen to me when I try to unlock it (two times, one for Tmobile's phone and one on AT & T's) and that happen because I try to unlock it before install a new rom (I guess). just try:
1) connect the phone to the pc. (turned on)
2) press camera button firmly and then the reset button
3) the bootloader must start now and the message "usb" should be in the botom of the three colors screen
4) run the rom and follow the instructions on the pc.
I hope you cans solve this issue, good luck!!!
I installed Cyanogem in my Defy and everything ran just fine until yesterday...
No changes at all, and the signalwas gone. No bars. I tried to call and there were no signal to complete. BUT I CAN USE 3G CONNECTION!!!
I reinstalled original SBF, y-SBF, z-SBF, delta-SBF, other roms... Nothing changes. I just have connection, not voice.
Any idead how to fix it?
Install Baseband Switcher and try to change your baseband

Try the China basebands or US T-Mobile basebands.
the two worked for me.
None of them worked. Tmobile almost worked but failed. Anything else
What is the Original ROM com with your Defy ?
And it's a MB525 or ME525 ?
JORLA_U3_3.4.2_107-9_SIGNED_USAJORDMR1B15VIVBRLA019.0R_JORLAFROVIVBRLA_P012_A012_M002_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf
I'm not sure, but I think is this SBF.
Model MB525.
If you flash the recommended SBF, it will work without any changes in baseband. Try nordic first.
And always talk in english in a english forum
I will try nordic them stock.
One thing... With defy baseband change, when I select a different one (ANY of them - I tried all of them) it simply don't change. When I check baseband it's always EPU93_U_00.59.00.
Any Idea?

a lot of my fellas here in manila had that prob before after they migrate to official SEA FROYO
now its ok after they do the baseband switching.
I flashed NORDIC, and had no connection. Now flashed Brazil Retail without success, but the radio bar is full and says "Only Emergency Calls". If I try a normal number I get "There are no network available". And I still get data connection online.
Please, any idea?
I'll start a challenge for U$25.00. =)
Nothing worked.
Any idea?
Already flashed chinesa, nordic, retail, t-mobile, change sim card, changed all basebands.
What is happening?!
That sounds like what happens if your IMEI is blacklisted - no phone calls or text messages will work, the phone will report "no signal" or "emergency calls only" but data still works.
Hopefully that isn't what has happened to you, but I thought I should mention it just in case
I've just answered your PM, but I didn't know you've tried stock SBF. Did you do a full wipe after flashing it? If yes, then you should try your SIM with another phone. If it works, you probably have either a hardware problem with your Defy (but I'm not sure if Data would work, and it does...), or a blacklisted IMEI, as said the friend above. Either way, have you bought your phone in an official store? If yes, you can also flash your carrier's stock sbf and complain with them!
If you paid for third party unlocking service (online or local phone shop) to unlock your Sprint S7/S7 Edge, then you need to be careful not to get your phone locked again. I've paid for the services several times because I messed around with switching different sim cards and flashing different firmwares. I learned my lesson the hard way. Hopefully others don't have to.
What I found is: after the unlocking service, if you keep using the Sprint stock firmware, you'll be fine. You can switch back and forth between Sprint and other GSM sim cards. But If you flash it to the U firmware, you can only use GSM sim cards if you want to keep it unlocked. It'll be locked once you put in the Sprint sim card. You can flash it to the Verizon firmware and keep it unlocked. But you can only get 3G speed on Sprint network. Also, after flashing with other firmware, your phone will be locked again if you flash it back to the Sprint stock firmware.
The other thing is: I've seen people having trouble with "Invalid SIM card" problem even tho they have their phones unlocked by Sprint. I had the same problem before. It's actually quite simple to solve. Just go to Settings and do the UICC Unlock under System Update (with your Sprint sim card and Sprint stock firmware). It'll take a minute to update with the Sprint network. Then a message will pop up saying something like your phone is now unlock to be use with other UICC and restart. After your phone reboots you can now turn it off and put in other GSM sim card.
do you know of any reliable unlocking services? I am currently running latest beta 7.0. Need steps on how to unlock sim

Most unlockers will only work on Marshmallow. They'll charge you higher price if your phone is not on PG1 firmware or lower.
Do you know your bootloader version? I think the 7.0 has higher bootloader version so you might not be able to downgrade your phone to the 6.0.1 firmware.

I need help, if you can help or point me to right direction... I have Samsung S7 edge, G935P from Sprint network, bought it on ebay, I did sim unlock and I could use it on gsm network... But I don't know what happened, but it started to reboot so I did factory reset and I could not get it to work on gsm network... I network mode I could not select 2G/3G/LTE network, only CDMA... It recognises SIM card, its not a problem...
Sim unlock sprint s7e
Ok. Total newbie question. Let me start off by saying I have done several routes in the past on older Samsung Galaxy phones. So I do at least have some working knowledge of the stuff. but now I've got a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that I got through Sprint, but I need to SIM unlock it. I do not want to go to a third party service, I want to do it myself. what can I do, what do I have to do to SIM unlock my phone to work on other carriers?

3rd party costs abt less than 10usd (no need to visit anyone, they do it remotely via teamviewer). If you want to do it yourself, you need to buy an Octopus box etc..

Steve I just bought G935P unlocked from ebay. I have no intention to use SPRINT just GSM carrier.
What Android 7 U version would you recommend to preserve unlock on U version?
I found this one, will I loose unlock if I flash this via ODIN?

No, you won't lose unlock status.

Well, I have a device called "Tectoy ON 5029Y", the same as "Alcatel 3L 2020" (White Label), I'm trying to install a GSI on it, but I lose the IMEI and Baseband every time I unlock the bootloader, but if I block they come back, what am i doing wrong? I've done a lot of research on this device and there is little useful information.
I've already started GSI's, but they also have the same problem.
info:
MediaTek: MT6762
android default: 10
Treble: vndk 29, arm64-A/B

It will restore your IMEI, if it relocks your bootloader, you can unlock it again. Even flashing the newest version of your firmware should restore your IMEI and probably won't lock the bootloader in the process.

I've done this procedure before, about 4 times, the baseband and IMEI are never restored, only when I lock the bootloader. Also, until today I didn't have the stock of this smartphone, I used the Alcatel MU to restore it.
edit:
before I had restored after having installed the GSI, the bootloader did not come back locked, this time it came back! Then I unlocked it again and the IMEI disappeared again.

I don't think that restoring / changing IMEI is done this way.
OP is recommended to use Maui Meta Tool to repair the IMEI.

If you don't have EFS backup the only thing I know you can do is flashing stock ROM. That is what has been sorting it out for me. I think I've managed doing it once with ROM which was based on stock but I think that is very hard to happen in practice.

AFAIK on MTK devices an EFS partition / directory doesn't exist, but an NV ( NVRAM ) partition / directory.
BTW: A Stock ROM - the ROM compiled by OEM especially for each of its device models - never includes a device's IMEI. If it would be so then all phones of such a device series would have the same IMEI - which would be a complete nonsense.

I don't think I can fix the IMEI without a baseband.
Try to factory reset! When i lost IMEI on ZTE blade X3 its too helpful than i reset when this situation happen. and try to lock BootLoader again. and try to back to original ROM. +Turn off cell network and eject SIM card again and Turn on cell network after than you put SIM card again

I've already done that, the baseband and imei always disappear, when I lock the bootloader they come back. I don't know if this has to do with "Security boot MTK" or "AVB 2.0", I rooted and installed vbmeta, still the same problem remains.
@MrJosh18 Its maybe SIM problem.
Or ROM problem totally. MTK processors too vurneable to any BootLoader actions. Its maybe problems of Android telephony System apps.

well I don't know what else to do, I can root, install GSI and then I'll do a twrp port, but I really don't know how to solve these obstacles.
BTW: it's not just on my device, other people have tested it too
ROOT hmmmm
I think what solves for this problem are.
Maybe BootLoader break SIM totally. Wait

Use this CLI tool to back up (Read option) your NVRAM, NVdata and NVCFG prior to unlock it (you can back up any existent partition you want), after that you can use this tool even to unlock it and either, for sake of curiosity or for future reference, see if it produces a different result (i.e. not erasing IMEI). https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
Also, you're right, you need to firstly fix the baseband null issue to can fix IMEI. What Droidriven suggested was flashing your stock ROM after to unlock bootloader, a ROM from other device even if it is from a similar or from a rebranded device won't work/make the same that the firmware for your exact model, I know, probably is not available anywhere, but this is a fact.
@SubwayChamp Good he have problems with IMEI.
