Is it possible to mute the TV while listening via cellphone earbuds or headphone?

I just recently bought a cassette to auxiliary cord for my car so i can play music from my captivate. On iphones the cassette to auxiliary players transfer all audio aspects of the phone to the car's speakers. On android phones it only transfers the media volume to the speakers. I'd like to be able to use my car's speakers to also play the in-call sound. I live in british columbia so it's illegal to be holding your phone while you drive and i dont really like sporting the blutooth's so this would be a nice alternative. Thanks if anyone can find an answer!
I have a Bluetooth adapter for my car and music streams great but if I get a phone call it wont stream... Any ideas?
You need to be a bit more specific. Is the issue that music does not resume after you hang up the call?
Does anyone know how to disable the CEC features on the Google Chromecast? I have a Samsung TV and Bluray home theater setup. When I switch to my Chromecast input (HDMI#4) the Bluray player turns off. I can turn the Bluray back on, but if I'm listening to music on Google Play, the Bluray player turns off after every song. I still want the CEC features between my TV and Bluray, but the Chromecast is what's having problems. Hopefully there is a way to disable CEC for the Chromecast only.
Anyone know if wired headsets work with this device as far as changing music track and adjusting volume or is iPhone the only phone smart enough to do this with a wired headset? Haven't tried and looking to buy a good pair of wired headsets with volume, music track skip, etc controls but don't want to waste the money if these controls won't work. Thanks

I wonder if I can stream Bluetooth to Android TV boxes same way as with Bluetooth speaker? I'm looking at Xiaomi MI Box in particular: I have stereo receiver with optical, and want to use it for streaming. I might just buy Chromecast audio, but I have some screends and might use it for video as well.
Pretty much I want chromecast audio with Bluetooth abilities. Can anyone try streaming music from phone to Xiaomi box?
