Need a Custom Kernel for Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Hi, i'm using corvus OS in my Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC, wich it comes with Optimus Drunk Kernel, i don't have much experience with it, but the thing it doesn't supports fast charging wich it's pretty annoying to me
Please provide me an adequate custom kernel wich it comes with good battery management, good performance in gaming (it's ok if it results heating, bcs the phone comes with liquid cooling technology+I play games for only 2 hours per day) and most important fast charging , it's the main reason why i posted this thread
-Thank you in advance

It's support fast charging but the issue is that it gives wrong information of charging. maybe in next update will get fixed

Please post your questions in the Questions & Answers section HERE . Thanks

I see many ppl using Linaro Rom..I really need to know if it is stable and good for daily use..currently I am on Carbon-JB-v 1.8 [4.2.2]. But I dont get much of a battery backup. My main usage is calls, whatsapp n music. Apart from battery i face a familiar issue that while listening to music it gets hanged suddenly n player doesnt respond anymore. I ultimately have reboot it twice to make it work which is very annoying as I am hard core music lover ..So I actually want to know if Linaro (which many r appreciating) or any rom in JB with good battery life n no prob with playing music is available or not.
I am a noob here so need a lil help from u guys:good: Please give me some suggestions n reviews

Hi, everything seems to work and untill know it is the best rom for me! I did face with nasty SOD`s and these are gone to NOT let the processor run at 300Mhz (use a CPU app for that). When Cpu is set to minimum 600Mhz there are no problems with SOD. Short battery lenght is an issue. I hope the new version will fix it.

Kernel focused on battery duration, which one?

Hi there, despite this topic I'll like to know users experiences with kernel on the Nexus5 since I'm looking for one based on battery duration. See I tested n3oHammer, franco and ElementalX from this three the best was n3oHammer but in recent Cyanogenmod updates it stop working so I'll need to change since Cyanogenmod kernel drain battery to fast, any advice? Any configuration on any kernel to get this battery duration?
PS: Sorry for ask this since it's prohibited but I need some advice on this topic

In my personal opinion I would run Chaos Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551441
Comes with NXT app to tweak it. You could easily change the clock, voltage, governor, and other things in combination with screen brightness, Gravity Box's smart radio and a few other things to achieve maximum battery life. I am not a fan of CM never was never will be.
I personally could care less about battery life as long as I get through the day doing what I need to do when I need to do it. I don't do all the little things to prolong battery life. If I made it through the day and had 50% left well I would have to charge it because the next day it would die and who knows if I would use it more or less.

So you admit that you know these threads aren't allowed yet you post it anyways? That's going to go over well.
OP, as you know these threads are prohibited and will be closed. Best advice I can give you is try a few out and see which best suits your needs. Battery life depends greatly on which apps you run and your overall usage, both of which vary per user.

Thats great 80 really
How u want it (the comparison)
U need to set all parameters same for all roms for comparison - thats really difficult.
just tell us ur ideas.
Sorry for the late reply...running out of net this mont... but my idea was that...let's decide one battery monitoring application for all rom... N then fix the time interval for 30 min...n then will have one common thing running for that 30 min...and compare the battery drains during that 30 min in %..n for this u r not alone...we all will help...whichever the rom we r running will follow the same n will post the results..n by this way will select the rom by battery performance...this similar thing we can do for other parameters also like...gaming experience... Internet browsing experience.... Video performance... HD performance... Etc...

Good idea:good:
i think time interval should be atleast 24hr.
as battery drain depends upon wakelocks which occurs when ur screen is off.
certion apps like google play services activates inbetween causing such wakelocks.
so which app and which version also matters here.
we can do something like this.
starting with photo
With sony z3 ROM

Hi Lord,
To improve my battery life, do I have ti choose "battery friendly" ? Or just "standard"?!
Nice Work,
Thanks

Already standard should give you a bit better battery life.
However, the kernel is not the main consumer of battery. Kernel influence is maybe 10-20% maximum. You get the most out of your battery when you make sure you stop apps from doing things in the background, thus avoiding wakelocks etc.
Just that you know, you will not see a big jump with a new kernel.

Let's say: when stock kernel has it, then me too.
Or in other words, I have not removed nor added something here.
Test with stock kernel please and report.
If it runs with stock kernel, it was the upstream and I know what to do then (would remove the upstream again...)

Confirmed. This is clearly an issue coming from the upstream.
So I will try to fix it within 24 hours. If not possible, the upstream will be removed again for good.
Update: Seems this was simple. Fixed already. Will push a new kernel today still.
Thanks

compatibility with extremebeat audio mod??
i wish to flash your kernel alongside eXtremebeats audio mod, but since the kernel too has an audio engine, will the mod interefere with the kernel or vice versa???
thanks.

I do not know if it interferes, but the kernels sound engine can be completely disabled in the kernel config app (in fact, default is disabled even).
So worth giving it a try.

Hi again. I took your advice and flashed your kernel. (beta 3.1)
Its been nice so far. But i m finding some issues with the pinch up zoom. If I reboot it works fine for sometime. But then again brcomes problematic. Please look into it.
Thank you.

Not something I can replicate on my end. Sorry.
AC Charging Current isn't working for me.. I set it to 1500mA but it's always on 900 as in the overview screen.
Charger, cable, can be a lot.
But you didn't even state which kernel you use.

It's a Prestigio Charger of 2.1A output and Capdase USB Cable. I'm using it since I got my One and the phone always charged really fast with your kernel on stable or any beta versions. Only on OxygenOS, it doesn't change from 900mA. Even if I change the charging rate, it's constant in the overview screen at 900mA.
Update : Happened only when battery was below 25-20% . Charging rate changed to 1200mA on it's own when it was around 40-50% and now it's working when the battery is above 90%. Charging rates are getting set upto 2200mA but still the input is around 300mA only. Even tested with the original OPO charger and cable, the charging is slow. When I was on CM12.1 ROMs with your kernel (any version), the input current was always around 950mA when I increased charging rates from 1500mA to 2200mA (anywhere between or around) and that also with any charger or USB cable I have. Looks like OxygenOS is not letting me change the charging current. It's charging at 200mA currently while I've set it to 2200mA. There has to be some problem...
Mh. Cannot replicate this at the moment, I am not on Oxygen 99% of my time, too incomplete rom for me.
But can check once I am on Oxygen again.

Thank you! The only reason I'm on Oxygen is the H/W+ Decoder support for MX Player and WiFi Kill app working!
It works sometimes. But not always! Superfast charging is one reason why I love your kernels! ?

Aicp vs Ressurrection remix-both official running Nougat 7.1.1

Hey,making this thread so we can share reviews, bugs and opininions about those 2 roms(the only ones running Nougat so far)
It would be nice to have a guide about it i guess..
In my case AICP is smoother.

Any known bugs?I mean we have a thread about rr and we know bugs performance etc.But what about aicp. What do you mean smoother
What about lineage os? We have lineage os from website and hikari no tenshi builds also
I installed aicp yesterday(clean install). So far everything perfecr.Got rid of the delayed notifications I had problem with the last rr build. Also I dont have problems with the unlock screen bug.Other than that its same like rr. Very smooth and all working great. Battery seems very good until now....
After 1 hour and 40 minutes screen on,just wifi,2g signal and using viber frequently

Same here. Tried RR and my phone shuts down when I have about 30% battery left. When I plug it in for a minute, it says I have 25%+ battery left. But when I unplug the charger the phone shuts down again even if I have more than 20% of battery left. Weird.

To be fair, I have not tested AICP yet. But the said behavior doesn't happen on MIUI (even in MIUI Nougat) and on TS CM 13.1. I'm gonna give it a chance and try RR again later. I'm starting to hate MIUI's aggressive task management. Just browsing with 6 tabs in Chrome with no other open apps and MIUI force closes the app WTF.

Does it always happen with Nougat ROM only? Once I've read a quite interesting "theory", might be connected to this https://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/5kr71d/why_phones_are_shutting_down_with_40_battery_left/

This issue never happen when i use TS CM 13.
Tried the latest RR build, phone shuts down at 15% battery. Was able to reboot to recovery and TWRP reports that I have 15% battery left. Tried to reboot the device and I was still able to get to the boot animation screen but the phone automatically shuts down again and this time, I was no longer able to power it on. It's like the battery was drained to the last drop.
Now here comes the weird part, I've plugged it in and the phone booted automatically. Right off the bat, the big battery bar showed up with 0% left and after a few ticks (about 3 seconds), the battery skyrocketed to 47%!! Wtf? I turned it on and when android booted, the battery was just 17%. Something's wrong and I don't know if it's the rom or the battery itself. I'm gonna try AICP and see if I get different results
EDIT: Rebooted again at 17% and now I have 47% of battery left again. Lol this is confusing.
