Ethernet Tethering with Android 10 root - General Questions and Answers

Hi everyone
I have a Note 9 (SM-N960F) and I would really like to use the Android 11 Ethernet tethering feature, but the Note 9 only goes up to Android 10. I flashed an Android 11 custom ROM, and the Ethernet tethering worked, but the signal was really bad on the custom ROM so the hotspot wasn't working very well unfortunately.
So I am going back to the stock Android 10 firmware. I was wondering, is it at all possible to use Ethernet tethering on Android 10? If I root Android 10, is there an app which let's me use this feature?
I am not interested in USB tethering as I have be advised against it due to it being slower than a wireless hotspot.
Thank you

[Completed] Android for an unknown tablet?

Hello everyone, my girlfriend has a Siragon tablet (local brand here in Venezuela) that is about 2 years old, seller stopped updates for all of its Android tablets but I'mm sure this tablet can handle either 5 or 6 (it's in Jelly beans right now).
However, since this is an unknown maker outside of VE, there are no roms for their products, I tried to see if I could install CM 13 and pray it worked but Recovery mode wont allow me since the rom is for Nexus 7 WIFI (flo) and the tablet is wing-s785 (???)
Any way I could force the install of CM 13 on this tablet or if there is any kind of universal stock Android to install? Or am I stuck with Jelly Beans?

Hello dear,
You can't use ROMs from other devices, because of different kernel and ROM configurations. If they stopped support for it,that is already done yet, sorry for this kind of information. :/

Android TV Remote Control on Marshmallow

Hi,
Since MM I have flashed CM13 and Temasek and I can't connect my phone to my modem router through Android TV Remote Control app.
I don't know if this bug is due to CM roms or if the app has to be updated.
Does it work on your end?
EDIT: doesn't work on Pure Nexus rom either so MM bug.

Which ROMs have usb ethernet support?

Which ROMs for the Mi4 have usb ethernet support, as stock android has? Does the official Miui ROM support this?

Installing S8/S9 ported UI's and Apps on 7.1.1 rom

I"m wondering if I can install one of the current S8 or S9 UI/apps ports onto the 7.1.1 (RH1) for TMobile's Note 5. I believe I can, but there are so many app ports out there now, ranging from 6.0 to 8.0 Oreo. Has anyone had a successful port on the 7.11? And is anyone going to Debloat or customize the RH1 since it's available? It seems XDA has given up on the N920T.
