If you have twrp recovery try downloading another custom rom on an external sdcard and try going into recovery and download it from there, if you don't have twrp install it with sdcard.
Odin methode: download Odin on pc/laptop and a custom rom .tar file and go into download mode/Odin mode, power button, volume down, home. Or power, volume down. And then connect the phone to the pc/laptop and select file in Odin and click on install. Then it should startup again.

[Q] Huawei u8500 HELP! Not booting!

Hello,
I have seen 1 thread that might help me under address:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
So basically I own Huawei ideos u8500 and wanted to flash it, but instead of editing flashbooting I clicked it. After this my phone does not boot past flash screen, what changed is that I get a notepad-font Android inscription between Huawei logo and Android, so the later just loads and loads again.
I'm noob with updating software, rooting or whatever. When I went into flash mode, I installed drivers for windows xp but the drive didnt appear there. I tried factory reset, didnt work, maybe rom update would work? I dont have clockwork recovery mod installed.
Any ideas how to get this done? Maybe some other way to reset stuff would help?
Thank you all for reading it

Hey,
I also got problems with PC... so I think I opened flashbooting.bat without flashing mode as my PC doesnt work...and my phone is screwed.
In flashing mode theres no new device, but when I open it normally and put usb I can see 2 disks (1 SD and 2nd Phone).
So basically I could install a new ROM, although I have no idea how. I need to put Clockwork mod to root file... But which disk?
Instruction: how I doing it.
for new users like me who wants to update or reflash half-bricked U8500.
first, boot ur phone to fastboot mode (vol up+red tube+power) - it looks like forever loading with huawei logo.
download drivers for U8500 and install
download CWM fastboot for U8500
connect phone to pc, wait for drivers installing, then unzip cwm and double-click install.bat file from admin.
now you should have CWM.
boot to recovery CWM (vol up+green tube+power)
then go to mount ----> mount USB with volume keys and OK button or with joystick
now your phone connected as USB flash device, put any ROM that supposed to go for U8500 (for example Cyanogen mod 7 or even stock rom) in zip archive to root of SD card, click to unmount USB, go back to top and click install update from zip file and choose your zipped ROM located on SD card. after completing click wipe cache and wipe data then reboot device.

You are not reading what you are typing.
Obvious answer: If you end up in the STOCK RECOVERY you simply do not have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod as you wrote). Get yourself a copy of a recent recovery from AndroidAndi's download repository (TWRP, Clockworkmod Swipe, PhilZ Touch), and flash the .tar.md5 of the recovery with ODIN in download mode.
Obvious question: How did you flash a ROM, other than some OTA Stock Samsung update on the device itself, in the first place when you don't have a custom recovery installed in order to do so?
EDIT: What exactly do you mean by "factory reset"? Did you re-flash your tablet with a Stock ROM? If that's the case, then any custom recovery you had installed was wiped and replaced with the stock recovery. Hence why you now don't have a custom recovery anymore.

Just to recap on the steps you should have done...
1. You downloaded the .tar.md5 of the recovery you want to install, from Android Andi's filehost, on your PC
2. You installed the Samsung USB drivers on your computer
3. You installed ODIN on your computer
4. You unplugged the tablet from the charger and powered it off
5. You took your tablet and HELD VOL-UP while you powered it back on (to get into bootloader mode)
6. You plugged the tablet in to the computer and waited for a moment while Windows was installing the driver
--- Here the story ends, according to what you wrote as you say ODIN does not find the tablet.
Well, are you sure you did the steps so far in that order? Can't be that ODIN doesn't detect the tablet when it's operational (read: no a total dead brick) and it's in download mode.
The ONLY problem possible: You installed Samsung KIES, and not just the USB drivers, on your computer. KIES interferes with ODIN. You need to exit ODIN, bring up the Task Manager (press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and select "Task Manager"), find "kies" and end the running process(es) - ignore any warning message.
If that's too complicated: Uninstall KIES and then find the "Samsung Mobile USB drivers" installation package ... with a bit of searching (just to assign some homework to you) you will the links right here in this forum section more than just once.
Once KIES is terminated, or uninstalled and just the USB drivers installed, start ODIN again ... now it should detect the tablet.
Once ODIN confirms that the tablet is detected...
7. Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery as the "PDA"
8. Flash the recovery. Once complete the tablet rebooted into the newly installed recovery.
As for on-device flashing. That's possible...
- Your installed ROM must be ROOTED (no root, no fun)
- You need Chainfire's "MobileODIN" (the free version from the Play Store would suffice), and you need to let MobileODIN install the "p311x flashkernel package" (I think with the free version you need to download it manually from Chainfire's thread and install it manually) - jump into Chainfire's thread and read on
Once you have Mobile ODIN installed it is just a matter of:
- Download the .tar.md5 of the recovery on your tablet once more (or transfer it over from your PC)
- Start Mobile ODIN
- Select the .tar.md5 of the recovery (should automatically be set as a "PDA")
- Flash and reboot into the recovery
However, as a fair warning ... as with every flashing of your device ... keep in mind something could go wrong (just to straighten it out that there's always room for user mistakes or murphy's law getting into the way ("Everything that can go wrong will go wrong"))

For future reference: keeping VOL DOWN UP held while powering on/rebooting the tablet takes you into the recovery in case you borked the system and selecting "Reboot" -> "Recovery" from within the _custom_ ROM's power menu is not an option (the Stock Samsung ROM does not have that option by default). Though keep in mind that this only works when the tablet is _NOT_ connected to the charger/computer ... when the USB cable is plugged in it seems to ignore the hardware keys.

Now that you mention it... yes, you're right jrc... "VOL DOWN" == Download Mode / "VOL UP" == Recovery (I failed to recall the "UP as in update.zip" association).

YU Yureka with no OS stuck on a Bootloop and unable to enter recovery mode.

Hey guys!
So, i was trying to install CM13 unofficial version, and wiped the system and internal storage using TWRP recovery. I was supposed to install the rom from a zip file i had placed in the external memory card. What i did, was, i rebooted the phone by mistake, after wiping it from the recovery without installing the ROM and now the phone is caught in a bootloop. I know i am an idiot to do that. I tried removing the battery and reboot it in recovery mode using the key combination with no luck. It just starts the boot loop. I tried using fastboot and adb from pc to push files into the internal memory, but my device is not getting detected on the adb anymore (maybe the usb debugging is disabled now?).
What i guess is stopping TWRP recovery from showing up is the lack of twrp/themes folder in the internal memory since i wiped it. But there might be some other cause that i am unaware of. What do i do now? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Hey! I'm having the same problem with my yu yureka.. Can anyone help me please!

Hi! I'm having the same problem with this post... Does anyone knows the solution of this problem. I'd be really glad if anyone could help me with this..please!
Hey are you able to boot into fastboot mode? If you can....
Prerequisites –
1. Make sure that you have 70-80% battery on your phone.
2. You need a PC and a USB cable to connect your phone to the PC.
3. Flashing the factory firmware will wipe all the data present in the internal memory. So, make a backup of that if you can.
4.Install all the necessary Device drivers.
DOWNLOADS -
1. Download the flash tools from here . http://www.mediafire.com/download/87gfz7mdch188an/Flashtools_For_Yu_Yureka.zip
2. Download the factory firmware from Here (cm 12.1) . http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/tomato/cm-12.1-YOG4PAS3JM-tomato-signed-fastboot.zip
Steps To Flash Factory Firmware –
1. Extract the flashtools zip in a new folder on the desktop.
2. Extract the factory firmware zip in the same folder and make sure that all of the flashtools files are also present.
3. Now, power off your phone. If you are stuck in a bootloop, then pull out the battery and reinsert it. (Do not switch on the phone.)
4. While pressing the Volume Up key, connect your phone to the PC with the help of a USB cable.
5. You should now see the fastboot logo on your device. If you did, leave the Volume Up key. (If you do not see the logo, retry the process.)
6. Now go to the folder where you extracted the flash tools and factory firmware and run the flash-all.bat by double clicking on it.
7. A command window will open and the flashing procedure will start. (Make sure that your device does not disconnect from your PC during the procedure.)
8. The command window will automatically close once the procedure is completed.
9. Disconnect your device and boot it up by pressing the Power button. (Since this is first boot after flashing the firmware, it may take upto 5 minutes.)
Done you should be back on cm 12.1

im also having same problem i have also unknowingly wiped system & now im not able to flash any rom while flashing its rebooting automatically & i am able to enter in to fastboot mode then i have flashed factory firmware then also its not booting stucked on boot loop.

I flashed the factory image via YGDP tool as well as fastboot. But it boots upto a point and then goes in bootloop. Also if i wipe data/cache still it makes no difference. Also unlocked bootloader and twrp also don't load up. Again goes in bootloop.

By stock lolipop you mean you had the yureka plus with Volte From factory right!!...if so the twrp might have been for the yureka plus with the cm bootloader which got replaced in the new Devcice
I am facing the same problem and in my case I dont think its an battery issue...I was happily using the CM 13.0 Snapshot Rom since a long time...but today morning when I did a soft reset by going into the settings in my yureka...the phone has gone in bootloop...and nothing is working...using fastboot I even flashed the twrp again and also flashed the CM 12.0 Stock firmware..but nothing is working...after the YU logo it restarts....please help...
I am also facing problem maybe worst

Ignore that and use other fastboot commands and go ahead, as your device is being detected in fastboot mode.

But when I am executing other fastboot commands it halts the process between with error "FAILED (remote: unknown command)".
I have read about this error and people suggested that I need to get into "Download mode" not "fastboot/bootload". To get into "download" mode I tried pressing "VoulumeDown+Power+Home", but nothing happened, it simply restarted the phone.
Please advise.

Hold volume down + power button until it goes to fastboot mode
Then flash twrp recovery from fastboot mode from your PC
"" I have provided below twrp and stock recovery ""
Then go to recovery using volume up and power key now connect it to your PC and u will see your device connected in mtp mode
Now copy full flash file renaming it update.zip
And also copy stock-recovery.img
Now the game begins
At first flash stock-recovery.img
Then reboot again to recovery mode
You are back into your stock recovery
Just tick on update system and clear data
And press start
Let it be done

renamed given rom and placed in memory, but while update got some error (could not read, as it is in Chinese).
when rebooted I was in old Rom.
Now I have 'orange state', stock recovery(in Chinese ) and a custom Rom.

I almost bricked my phone because of that stupid userdata.img inside the Twrp recovery
For 2 days I've been trying to install a rom with the twrp recovery, which always worked nice although a bit slow, but since the installed rom always had issues, this time I put not only the twrp recovery in flashboot, but also the userdata.img, which by the way there's no reference about it in any doc of the zip
As a result my phone didn't pass forward the coloured Leeco splash screen in chinese, (the one that cames before the twrp spashscreen).
I shut it down and put it on charge, but it didn't even seem to be charging! the red led was always on and the battery had no progress bar, just a 'sparkle' symbol. If that thing isn't even charging, how the hell would I enter fastboot?
Thankfully I got back the normal recovery and bootloader.
So, anyone reading, DO NOT flash userdata.img in fastboot!

Chainfire root method

Hi, I've tried a few tutorials on this forum on how to root the Samsung Galaxy S7 G930f.
After flashing the chainfire autoroot file my device stays stuck on the Samsung logo I've waited over 1 hour for the device to boot but it does not.
My question is can anyone explain what I could be doing wrong my device is on stock nougat I did root successfully with magisk a couple of months back but was not happy with having to format my data.
I also prefer chainfire SuperSu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I also had the same problem. So, I did the old fashioned way.
1. Download TWRP.tar from here: https://dl.twrp.me/herolte/
2. Download the latest stable SuperSU zip. If you want the link: Here ya go
2. Instead of flashing the CFAutoroot file, open Odin, click on AP and select the TWRP that you downloaded.
3. Once it flashes successfully, power off the phone, then Press and hold Volume Up+Home+Power Button to get into the recovery.
4. Copy the SuperSU and flash it and Viola! You got SuperSU!
You probably knew steps 3,4 but I wrote them just in case
hi may I know if you reformat your data after step 4?

Well, yeah. I always start with a clean slate. Just a habit i picked up when i had a OnePlus One. You should be fine without a format though...Cause you're just rooting, not flashing a whole new ROM.
Thanks for helping me out, unfortunately after flashing twrp and booting into twrp recovery the default android recovery loads up.
I will continue searching for a method that does work. If you know anything else I could try please let me know.

That's weird, I just flashed stock firmware and TWRP a few mins ago and it worked fine for me. I hope you used the .tar and not the .img and the Odin that comes with CF Auto Root, not the one you use to flash the whole stock firmware.
I did use the .tar and have also tried with Odin that comes with cf autoroot.
Unfortunately I still get the same result flash of twrp is successful when I boot into recovery I get the android installing update with dead android then it just goes into to stock recovery.
I will try a few more times if no success I'll try with a fresh install of stock firmware.
Thanks for the help though appreciate it.
I decided to try again and succeeded but still had to format data to get the phone to boot. I made a full backup on my laptop before proceeding I did the following steps to successfully root.
I am in no way responsible for any lost data or bricked devices please note if you follow this tutorial you will trip knox and your warranty will be void.
1. MAKE A FULL BACKUP OF YOUR DEVICE CAN'T BE STRESSED ENOUGH
2. Flash the latest SM-G920F firmware with odin.
3. Setup device let it check for software updates, install the update if available (I had an update)
4. Download latest twrp recovery in .tar format for the SM-G920F from twrp website
5. Download the latest stable version of SuperSU.zip
6. Download Samsung Antiroot Removal Kit
7. Transfer the files to your SM-G920F sd card
8. Power off your SM-G920F and enter download mode by holding the volume down + home button + power button read the warning press up to allow custom flashing.
9. Open Odin I used Odin v3.12.3 tap the AP button locate the custom recovery and flash it's done be ready to enter twrp recovery as the device will boot quickly, as soon as it powers off to reboot hold the volume up + home button + power button if timed correctly you shall enter twrp recovery.
10. Locate the SuperSU.zip install it but don't reboot
11. Locate the Samsung Antiroot Removal Kit and install it

how did you backup your files on step 1 if your not rooted?
This is how I backed up my phone it's a bit tedious could have been done quicker.
First I removed my memory card from the phone. I then connected my phone in MTP mode to my laptop I dragged the folder of the files I needed to my laptop.
I then used MobileGo to export .apk files of the apps I wanted. I then exported the photos and videos I wanted to keep.
I did a WhatsApp backup copied the folder to my laptop.
I then made accounts on all games that I wanted to keep my progress on using Facebook and Google Play. Some games allows signing up with email address.
I used Mcbackup to backup all my contacts and e mailed them to myself.
I know that I could have used Google Drive or Samsung Cloud for some of the tasks but I prefer backing up this way.
