Hi All,
I have a strange question about GPS data in Exif.
I know how to remove it or modify etc.
In place where I work people have different mobiles phones Huawei, Samsung etc.
They made a picture with GPS tagging - I receive print screen from them that they have GPS coordinates in file in their mobile.
But I don't know why when some friend send me picture by company mail, or private mail like gmail, or even upload somewhere file has not GPS coordinates. (but they have proof in print screen from mobile that they have GPS coordinates)
It is illogical to me why these properties are empty.
Do you know which process remove automatically that data? Maybe is something with privacy policy?
Thanks for any ideas.
In my mobile it works, and I don't know how to help friends.

I'd like to find some software that lets you add your current GPS coordinates to your Outlook mail signature, anyone ever heard of something like this?
even if it's an alternate email program?
thanks
I know that people in europe have been using the data in SMS to extract GPS (actually Cellphone tower) position. There is somewhere a software I have seen a couple years ago but it didn't work for me in the past.
So, considering the above, it should be possible to extract the GPS position. If you know how to write the program it should be fairly simple. I used WiFiFoFum and it gives you the GPS Position numbers. Maybe you can extract it from that software as you can create an Excel File with GPS positions corresponding with WiFi spots.
Hello!
I'v already searched for that kind of apps, but didnt find any of that type.
Application that will transmit my location to a webpage, with my current location, speed (Instamapper), and with camera feature?
So I'm asking for an application that would also transmit camera so website visitors can see driving?
Thanks
I think Glympse has all that, except the camera thing. However, Ustream has the video streaming. So I guess you would open Glympse first, share to... I don't know. You might have to set this up before you drive, or have a partner set up the web page, share to email and email them. Then have Glympse track you for however long... then open Ustream, start streaming, email the link, set the phone up as a dash camera with whatever hardware mount you have... and go.
I am begging for someone to help me.
I am not tech savvy, and wish to ask if anyone knows about this trojan, heur:Backdoor.AndroidOS.Wateh.a?
I have a nook hd +, six months old and I somehow got this trojan on my internal memory. I did a search of the forums but there is hardly anything yet, on these trojans, as a family. What are they?
I did a hard reset of my nook hd+ after running Kaspersky internet security. It was Kaspersky that finally named the virus for me.
I had 360 antivirus before and tried to clean the system with that, but could not do anything since it said that the virus could not be uninstalled.
I tried other free antiviruses which all stated the same thing.
My nook keeps rebooting in five minute intervals, I work a lot in the cloud, have I contaminated all of my cloud storage accounts?
A google search turns up nothing on this virus. What can I do to save my nook hd+?
Thank you, for your efforts!
Trojan:
Nook Demo: Version:3.4.1.2 Size:60K Security Level: Danger! This difficult trojan that steals my personal information has now been flashed into my Nook HD+'s ROM. Please see the screen shot of my antivirus Quihoo 360's diagnosis. Please suggest something, anyone who has knowledge.
Vicious Trojan: Help, Please! It has now flashed to the ROM
The trojan virus referenced above, has now flashed into my Nook hd+'s ROM. It is the same trojan as above, named, heur:Backdoor.AndroidOS.Wateh.a
Under my Quihoo 360 Antivirus, it is showing up as Nook Demo: Version:3.4.1.2
The heur:Backdoor designation is from when I had Kaspersky installed.
The 360 Antivirus has revealed some stats on this trojan. I just can't figure out how to upload the screen shot.
Please, help!

Would rooting this Nook get rid of this problem safely?
Obviously, I cannot backup this trojan flashed device.
The thread title says it all. I have found several articles through Google that all turn out to be incorrect since they indicate there is an option on the battey page which doesn't seem to exist on my phone. Not seeing anything that looks like it might control this going through the various "Settings."
I just got the pop-up that said that a bunch of apps were getting their permissions removed because I haven't used them in awhile. I live in Colorado where the current temperature is 2 degrees F. There are several apps like Star Walk that I won't use again until it's warmer. I don't want these restricted nor do I want to go through giving them back permissions. How do I turn off the auto-disable function?
Thanks,
Dave

Not what I'm looking for. I just want to turn off the unused app auto-disable function on my phone.
I am looking for an Android app which will at predetermined times share my location with selected people. I don't want real time sharing because of battery issues. It would also be useful if I could also create a routine which did the same whenever I connect to WiFi.
I am planning a solo cycle tour through Europe which will involve me being away from all family and friends for up to 3 months. My wife has expressed a concern about my safety and has asked that I let her know where I am on a regular basis.
I could allow her access to my Google account so she can use Find My Device but given her technical skills it would be better if she simply got a WhatsApp message with a map pin.
GPS Logger - Apps on Google Play
A simple and lightweight app for recording your position and your path
play.google.com
I don't see any way of sending my location.
If you won't create a simple routine at your own use this app
Send My GPS Location - Apps on Google Play
Share location and GPS coordinates with close friends.
play.google.com
Maybe I wasn't clear enough - my apologies.
I am looking for an app which will automatically send my location to a contact at predefined times. I would like this to happen when my phone is in my pocket or bag whilst I am cycling or walking.
Obviously I can do it manually when I remember but if I am in difficulty then the automatic option acts as a safety feature.
I am looking at Tasker to see if I can create a routine using that app and SMS.
Thanks to @xXx yYy for his/her help so far.
