Hello everyone
Unfortunately, I'm a complete noob when it comes to the topic of how I can update my Samsung SM-T533 tablet to a new Android version, because I can't download a lot of apps because they are for versions 6 and higher.
I have read through a lot of Internet sites, but everyone has a different opinion on how it should work, especially for the T-533 model I find very contradicting statements.
But somehow I always end up with you on this page. That's why I decided to get in touch with you and hopefully you can help me.
My Samsung T-533 data are:
Model number:
SM-T533
Android version:
5.1.1
Build number:
LMY47X.T533XXS1BPL2
(If you need any other data, just ask me)
What I've done so far (Because I better not know and thought that was it):
I did exactly what is shown on this page: https://www.softstech.net/download-odin-install-rom-samsung/
And that worked out very well. I checked that with the Root Checker.
Unfortunately, I don't know what I have to do now and whether that was the right step.
So I would be very grateful if you would explain this to me step by step and as if I were a baby what exactly I have to do now and which programs I need, how I can get a newer version for the T-533.
I thank you in advance

Hello, the installation part with odin is correct, but I guess there is no stable custom rom for these devices. Which rom did you install?
i have the same device and i have the same problems i couldn't find a stable custom rom
Merhaba odin ile yükleme kısmı doğru ama bu cihazlara stabil custom rom yok galiba. sen hangi rom yükledin.
bende de aynı cihaz var ve aynı sorunları yaşıyorum kararlı bir custom rom bulamadım

I hate to say it mate, but you may have just turned your cheap Chinese rip-off into a fairly expensive paper-weight then. It can be risky enough flashing a ROM that is designed for your phone, but to flash one for a different phone just for the fun of it is almost guaranteed to cause problems.
I know. It was by mistake
I thought this is the same developer. But maybe (or its Shure now) it is not...
Because it’s the same clone phone….
What can I do???

Yeah I must agree. Now that it's barely worth anything, you might aswell try your luck to see if you could get it back to default
Not trying to be disrespectful but why do people root a S3? it already has what you need? further more, you screwed it up pretty bad. And your warranty is voided.
Good fight how much pounds you spent! painful mistake.
- Hope everything goes alright.
its not the samsung galaxy.
its the clone - with MTK 6575...

Its a clone, and even if it was the actual S3, rooting allows freezing of bloatware, backing up apps, backing up entire system, flashing ROMs, and underclocking. Rooting is not only for performance gains.

Hi Samiro. That's my first participation in xda developers. I hope is not to late to help you.
this is Recovery, Flash Tool y Drivers for bluebo L100
http://www.4shared.com/rar/ZZT3ZdGA/...Recovery.html?http://
Recovery is in chinnese but is works. If you have problems using It there are lot of images all over the net.
You need to be root to use it so you have to use that to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1886460
Don;t worry If your phone doens't work properly, It's a bat file that do all by itshelf.
That's a custom ROM that works perfect with your phone (I know It because I have the same phone)
That ROM makes better use of resources and keeps your phone root. It's an update, so you need to run it from Recovery, NOT WIPE.
http://www.4shared.com/zip/_QkXZoUk/...4_NoWipe.html?
That one is an original for Bluebo 820, It's not the original for our phone but It works, anyway, the custom ROM up works much better

If you got any doubt just ask me.

Hi, I have scoured the web for information but several hours later I am none the wiser.
I would like to root my device in order to optimize its performance. I am super confused about: cf-root, mobile/pc odin, android version, etc. I still have no idea what is appropriate for my device. :crying: Please point me in the right direction.
I have found may threads out there with very detailed instructions, but I can't figure out if that's what I need. I'm apparently on Gingerbread, but what do I need now? The Icecream, the other one?
Reason for rooting: phone too slow with so many apps loading themselves in the background. I want to be able to prevent all these [expletive deleted] apps from loading themselves automatically. I also want to remove the stock apps I don't need (but can't now remove). I'm tired of factory resetting every other week to improve performance.
Ultimate purpose: phone, sms, whatsapp, news. That's it. I don't need 3d porn or anything. :angel: My needs are extremely minimal.
Thanks for any pointers! :good:

Thanks Sewrizer. I'd rather brick the phone than pay for the service. I already have a more recent phone, so this is more of a second device. It's just that I like the typing better so I haven't completely stopped using it. I guess I'm sort of relishing the idea of an experiment with it as well.
Do you have a link to instructions for the above? If it works for your friend, it's good enough for me.
Unless I hear something back, I'm getting ready to try this:

thanks a lot.
which cf-root?
Thanks Sewrizer. As it happens these are the instructions I started with, and from which a lot of confusion arose (I can't post urls yet).
The first link is to Odin3 v1.85, but I have found Odin3 v1.87. Not sure if there is a later version. It says somewhere that the latest version is best.
The second link is to a series of posts with many download links. Somewhere down the page it states that if you're confused, then:
First, go to Settings -> About phone -> Build number. It should say something like FROYO.xxJPy. It's primarily the JPy that we are interested in. Try to match that with a download link available in this (and the next few) posts. Some of the downloads dont just have JPy file name format, but are called xx_xxx_JPy.
Let me explain that. Samsung isn't always very precise in naming/marking their different (leaked) firmwares. CF-Root's are modified kernels, the filenames explain in more detail which exact firmware ROM the base kernel was taken from, for those experts who understand.
If you are not one of those people, go back to the JPy thing. The "y" in JPy is 0-9, A-Z. If they run out of numbers, they use letters. So A would be 10 (9 + 1), while Z would be 35 (9 + 26). Find the one that is closest to yours, if yours is not present, and flash that one.

Well, my build number is of the form GINGERBREAD.zsjv6, which doesn't fit the pattern described (I don't see any JPy, I see jv6), so which version of CF-Root should I download?

Finally, after a series of tests and spare time that lately more and find it less, I managed to reach a compromise acceptable to release the new "PERFECT ROM", first alternative ROM to the only official Marshmallow firmware for our beloved Paris.
Here is a list of the features of this ROM, with the changes made:
PERFECT ROM MM V1:
1) Based on the latest version of the stock firmware (29/08/2016);
2) BusyBox included;
3) Recovery TWRP included;
4) BOOT.IMG unlocked;
5) Firmware fully translated into Italian (some applications had not the Italian language);
6) Customizing the boot logo;
7) Customization of the boot animation;
8) Make changes and improvement to build.prop;
9) Added notification tones.
The ROM must be flashed as if it were in effect an official firmware, then using SP Flash Tool.
My council staff, it is a ROM-based on official firmware, who want avoid losing your personal data (applications, etc.), can make advance the backup of your existing firmware and, after you install and configure this, restore its back-up created ONLY PART OF USERDATA !!!! You will have the new firmware, but with your personal data. On how to back up, I refer you to post already abundantly treated on site.
I avoid putting screenshoot, would not make sense as a question of changing the official firmware that we all know.
As you can see, in this ROM is not integrated the ROOT. The thing is done on purpose, in order to give way at all to use their improved firmware, but not rooted, which can constrain the use of some applications (Pokemon-GO as an example).
In case you want to put the root, you need only download it from HERE and install it using TWRP, the ROM has been prepared and you will have to restart in order to have the root.
Since this is a first version, I think it goes without saying that all users are welcome for tips, questions, clarifications, report problems and mistakes and all you can relate to this ROM ONLY.

FIRMWARE:
- Perfect-ROM MM V 1.0

EDIT: I've got the same issue with this ROM like with the official ROM. Don't know why, it has 5.1 Lollipop system app icons and backgroud pic instead of new Marshmallow stuff.

Thank you for this rom. Flashed it on Tesla Smartphone 6.1, which is an actual clone of Paris. Went from 5.1 to MM, no problem. Seems to have better battery management. No problems so far.
Could you let me know which modules of the ROM are required if upgrading from a stock version (malware included)
If i could keep my files even better, but at the moment my phone is endlessly rebooting and not getting past the initial logo
Can it be flashed straight on top of Perfect ROM 5.1 with no loss of apps/user data?

hi, Cuvetto!
I'm using your 'perfect rom vers. 2' with pleasure -up to yesterday:
as I read, there's a problem with chinese phones: "nytimes.com/2016/11/16/us/politics/china-phones-software-security" and I searched the link "kryptowire.com/adups_security_analysis.html" and found that:
...All of the data collection and transmission capabilities we identified were supported by two system applications that cannot be disabled by the end user. These system applications have the following package names:
com.adups.fota.sysoper
com.adups.fota
The data collection and transmission capability is spread across different applications and files. The data transmission occurred every 72 hours for text messages and call log information, and every 24 hours for other PII data.
I looked up my phone with "ES-Explorer" and found these two applications.
I didn't try to handle anything like to delete/expunge the apps by now. As stated by Kryptowire, they can't be deleted by the (normal) user.
I will try to, as I have root. may be it will function.
Nevertheless, i wanted to inform you and the community about this severe backdoor, coming with stock firmware and, in consequence, with your perfect roms, as they are based upon...
Hope this helps anyhow, to have it patched?
yours, nu'uk
p.s.: sorry for not being able to post correct links, but I need some more postings, to get the permission to do so in xda-forums...
Hi,
i tried to install twrp before and after rom, it says download successful but i still have the stock recovery.
Edit: use download mode only
Can someone tell me how to decrease size of zram on this ROM?
Problem with flashing your MM ROM v1.0 with latest SPTool
Hello, I have a problem to flash your Perfect ROM MM v1.0 using recommended SPTool and standard flashing setup.
Can you please help me Cuvetto with this problem: if the SPTool is telling me, after the step where you click "Start all" but after i click it
and connect smartphone (which is turned off)
it tells me that the checksum file with .ini is not present and it stops - no flashing is happening.
Hello. Finally I installed this ROM. Everything woked, but I see some bugs that I'm not sure I could bear.
The bright is too high and when I turn it into the lower possition, it automatically is increased in a few seconds.
I can't uninstall system apps (although been root) like fota.adups.
The system is a bit slower.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

As you can see HERE somebody at Miui Brazil have already provided to build MIUI8 for our device but the Moto X Play is my primary device so I won't test it. If somebody have time well... You're welcome! A least 2 thing:
1) I don't assume any responsibily for broken devices.
2) The build isn't make or tested by me so I don't know what work and what not.
So happy flashing buddies!
For more informations please subscribe on the G+ community HERE (It is in español).
If you want you can thank THAT POST.
You can watch HERE too and download the ROM HERE.
Technical informations: The ROM is at V8 7.1.21 released with march security patch and based on Android 6.0.1
I am getting zip file corrupt message while trying to flash the rom.Downloaded the rom thrice,7zip and winrar showed no errors.Currently on twrp 3.1.0-r1.
error 7 on installation b1 and b2 versions.
The answer is: yair estas provando una version viejita aguarda y te confirmo cuando puedas testear. Saludos (He will let we know when he'll release a new version).
Updated link with latest build! You can find it HERE!
I remember the work isn't made by me! I don't assume any responsibily for your briked devices!
Someone is trying to port the MIUI 8 from another device to our lux.. in the wrong way.
Taking victara's MIUI 8 and editing build.prop and updater-script won't work, dude. lol
Mi4i has got same internals as our device and therefore, porting should be done between them. I had tried it once but couldn't complete it.

I am guessing here , but maybe dev can chime in with recommendation. I would put it in /System/csc/ or /System/etc/ ??? As soon as I get ROM installed will do that, working on it now. You will need a root capable file manager, I use X-Plore file manager. I am not certain if you need to change permissions.
Anyone have any luck with the LTE Fix?? I put the features.xml file in \system\csc and rebooted but phone still says insert SIM.
Do I need to flash the previous Data Fix or anything like that??
Thanks in advance guys!!
Im using a N915T on (T-Mobile).
You need to flash the data fix first then delete the feature.xml and paste the my feature.xml fix for LTE
here the link for the correct data fix:

Data fix link not working.
First of all thank you very much for your efforts. I haven't flashed this ROM yet. I am gathering all the necessary files before flashing.*
Above link is not working. It says not found 404 error. Please share working link. I don't know if you have any other thread for this ROM or not. But can you tell me about BUGS IF ANY with this ROM. Thank you once again.
ROM is working. Prereqs: latest baseband or at least on our T model N915TUVU2CPE3
Flash ROM
Flash Kernel (any T model for MM)
Flash DataFix (use any of 910T datafix releases) by search within xda
Flash SuperSU or Magisk
Please, anyone on this thread, I advise you not to use this ROM. It is a hacky implementation of my system files into an older version of the base I was working on. It is unstable and isn't representative of the final product, I always vow for a clean core and smooth operation, this violates my beliefs. This ROM was a leaked test build I entrusted to miguelr4720 and am disappointed to see it's release. I REPEAT; THIS IS NOT A RELEASE WORTHY TO BE CALLED ONE, IT WAS A TEST ONE THAT WAS MODIFIED WITH OLDER FILES IN AN ATTEMPT TO GET IT WORKING.

He only copied files from a test build of my rom that wasn't stable yet and placed it into an older version of Norma Rom.
What the hell ?
