I'm running EMUI9 on the Huawei P30 Pro.
When I take a photo, then click on the photo I've just taken in the circle to the left of the "take photo" button (see attached screenshot; photo preview highlighted be the arrow), I get the message:
"Unable to view photos. Please add gallery to the work profile and try again"
What does this mean? What do work profiles have to do with viewing a photo?
Has anyone else seen this before? It's driving me insane because it makes no sense at all, and there's no info about it anywhere. (I've Googled left, right & centre and found nothing...)
TIA.

When i click view pictures on my sprint htc touch pro it doesnt scroll and view pictures like it does when you have the camera option selected. When you start up the camera and then select view pictures they scroll better and look better. Is there any way to view the pictures in this manner without selecting camera? Forgive me if this has already been answered i couldnt find it.
i dont know what you mean
i get the same result if i go from camera or if i go from the photos tab
but heres a question.
are there any other motions besides circle for zoom and swipe for next picture?
Hi,
there are currently two things that I find really annoying about my Touch Pro. If someone knows a solution to them it would make me very happy :
1. The camera app:
It does not save the orientation of the device when a photo is taken. Hence, whenever I transfer pictures from the device to my desktop PC I have to manually rotate the pictures taken with the device in landscape orientation (since there is no orientation information, software cannot auto-rotate the pictures).
Is there a mod/alternative app/add-on which I can use to work around that limitation? Or do I have to enable an option somewhere?
2. The album app:
This is somehow a follow-up to the above: I haven't found a way to rotate pictures with the album app. This is even more annoying as a picture taken can not easily be used as a "contact picture" if taken in the wrong orientation. Of course, it is possible to cut out a section of the picture. However, when taken in landscape instead of portrait-orientation, the face of the contact is rotated +/- 90°.
Any help for this? A solution to this problem would also partially solve the first problem.
<bump>
Anyone? Please!
Is there any descent picture viewer similar to the iphone that can do all of the following
Lists photo albumns
When you select an album you get a thumbnail grid of photos
When you select a thumbnail you get a full screen picture
When you slide a picture to the left the next picture appears

look for S2V,its just like the iphone. one little tip 4 ya, next time try using the search button. this program has been around for a while and been talked about a bunch of times.usually when questions like this get asked noone answers cause it is so simple and all you gotta do is search.
edit: the stock album from htc is pretty good imo, its just like S2V.

HTC Album 3.2 does all that and it's fast as heck.
It's too big to attach but here's a link:

Resco Photo Manager is the beast of photo editing/viewing/management - does everything & is super fast - free trial but it does cost after that ...
when combined with the resco file explorer you get thumbnails everywhere so you don't even need to fire up the photo app

Hi,
I think most of them in, Xnview Pocket, you may even crop/resize/apply some effects / batch renaming and even acces iptc/exif info !
Best it's free and working under wm6.5
regards
yeah i really like XnView
First off am running StarDroid 3.2.1 I don't think it's rom related but user related
I have added pictures of 2 people. They do show up in the phone when I edit the contact. They also show up online when I hover over the contacts name. However they won't show up in the people app or the phone dialer when I scroll to them.I get those grey silhouettes. I do however have one picture visible in there as that contact is linked to a google+ account and that person has picture in there profile.
I do have to say searched the forum for this and came up with this path /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/files it does have the thumbnails for the pictures of the google+ people but not of the non google+ people. The pics that are in my gallery are the ones not showing up.
Am I do something wrong? I thought by editing the contact and adding a picture it would show up in the people app and in the dialer. I haven't tested any other functionality of have a picture added to a contact
Also want to add that the pics that I used from the gallery do show up in the people widget when added to a home screem.
Well after google searching and looking on other forums I finally found my answer
"Go to the Linked icon (upper right corner), then press the menu button. It will give you the option to select contact photo. Click it and it will show the photo options."
I then selected the photo cropped it to what I wanted and I was good to go.
Hi folks,
Hopefully someone can help out with this issue. It's probably incredibly simple!
When I am in an album in gallery, I can tap "more" in the top right hand corner and select slideshow. This creates a slideshow for the whole album - no problems there.
However, when I selected a few photos and go to "more" , the slideshow option disappears. I've had the Galaxy S2-S5 previously and never had this problem. Surely this feature hasn't been removed?
Any help would be welcome
