Recently I installed official TD2 wm6.5 rom, the first impression is the weather animation effect in the home tab,
but this effect goes away if user changes wallpaper to one prefers,
so is this there any way to retain the animation effect, while user can still change wallpaper?
The "default" wallpaper, well, I thinik, is "no wallpaper" at all, since nothing shows up in the home tab background.........
it depends on what rom you are using.
for example in dutty holygrail rom it is possible to select weather wallpaper and also choose a non animated wallpaper to be used too.

Well, I'm currently using official wm6.5 rom from HTC official website.
Since my TD2 is still under warranty, the best thing I can do for this matter is to find out if someone else comes up with such a program,
rather than installing an un-official rom my self.....

The weather animation effect has also gone in my TD2, after I have changed the wallpaper.
I do not know why even I change back to the "default" wallpaper, it still cannot have the weather animation.
Please help me, tell me how can I have the animation again
just go to the settings-tab and try to change the wallpaper. the phone will ask you if you want to use the original wallpaper which should be the weather-wallpaper.
In my case, the default wallpaper...
Anyway, that is one of my biggest challenge in Topaz WM6.5, Manila 2.1
Have the Full Screen weather animation in Home tab (I remember that in the Weather tab, it works).
Since Manila 2.5 could have that, there must be a way out... to 2.1 too.
Anyone, any clue???

How about using the HDWall app so that you can use your own wallpaper on home screen and all other tabs?

What method did you use to change your wallpaper in the first place? The reason i mentioned HDWall is because you can set your own wallpaper and still retain the weather animation on the home tab.

I use "Manila_2_1_19193517_0_BkAllTabs.CAB" somewere out there.
But now if you say so, I'll check HDWall.

Great app. Create a cab so that you can have whatever wallpaper you want in both portrait and landscape. Best part for me is that it skins your taskbar and softkey bar to make them a part of the overall image.
On running the app select config and choose the profile that you need. In your case i think it will be 'wm6.5 Sense 2.1 All Tabs'

I tryed with the oficial 6.5 rom an d it works, it is a shame that we need a desktop PC in order to change the wallpaper, but...

Ok, some information that may be helpful...and a long story. After reading the OPs post and digging deeper i notice that with my set-up i'm no longer getting the full screen weather animation that i used to have. Having been playing with all sorts of tweaks recently i thought i'd use the opportunity to investigate furthur. First up a hard reset.
Run through the usual Windows set-up and, yes, everything is working as it should be. Animation is present in home screen so i run through the settings, configure everything how i want and start installing my apps and tweaks. At this stage i haven't changed the Sense wallpaper but on returning to the home screen i see that the animation no longer works. Strange! I've been through this routine many times and would usually install my HDWall created wallpaper at this stage. So what's changed?
Well, the only tweak i've added since the last time i ran through this routine was installing the .cab for disabling the 1hr 02min flip clock 'feature' that is available on this forum. So, experimenting a bit i install my HDWall created wallpaper and sure enough i still have no full screen animation.
Hard reset...try again! This time i run through the routine, and of course the animation has stopped working as before, but before installing my HDWall .cab i go to the Sense 'Settings' tab and select a random picture to use as wallpaper under the 'wallpaper' option. Once this has been set i return to the same setting and this time i'm prompted to reset the 'default wallpaper'. Choosing this option i now have animation in the home tab again.
At this stage i install my HDWall .cab and, bingo! Not only do i have my 'all tabs' wallpaper working but i have the animation again. So to summarise, in my case at least, it was that one tweak which screwed it up for me. I'd suggest for anybody installing a wallpaper for themselves, whether it be by HDWall or BGForAll Tabs method to make sure the animation is working first, and if not to fix it using the method above. (Set random picture from options and then repeat to get the prompt to set 'Default Wallpaper')

just go to the link download the cab in ur storage memory and install. start using any 480x800 wallpapers on ur device and they will work with weather animation.

Has someone notice this problem? When i try to change the wallpaper it appears the frame to resize the wallpaper like in the lockscreen wallpaper. So, Im not able at all to set my wallpaper at full screen such in normal process.

Go to Settings>Display>Lockscreen & choose the photo you want and set it.
If you change it using this method & don't work,what do you mean by didn't allow ?

I am sharing what i learned.
I found it difficult to change lock screen wallpaper. YOU can just change Home wallpaper.
But

this is because of Cm gallery don't have Set as lock screen wallpaper option
So Just download 'Album, gallery of Xperia. YOU can find it on xda.This will work on all mobile. And you can change lockscreen wallpaper as well as home but both r different.
Thats what i learned.
