Installing play store without other google apps - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hello has anyone got a way working for this phone to install just the Google Play Store (and play services given those will probably be needed for it to work) without having to install a bunch of extra apps in the process?
I'm aware gapps packages exist but those usually override many AOSP variants of apps and introduce features which I don't need.

Choose a Vanilla AOSP rom.

Vanilla AOSP don't come with anything google at all, what I'm asking is that from that starting point how would I go about installing the Google Play Store and whatever else it needs to work on it.

For example with Nikgapps choose core

The google play website install button relies on your phone having the Google Play app in addition to having Google Play Services installed.
There are a few alternative app stores available for Android, but they won't have near the amount of apps available for them as Google Play does.
There was a website I read about that would allow you to download APKs from free apps on the Google Play store using your browser which you then could install manually on your devices, but I don't know the specifics. I do remember that paid apps weren't available to download using that site since Google verifies you own the app before allowing you to download it.
While the minimalist GApps that @BaNkS produced are no longer being maintained, the Paranoid Android folks are kindly filling the gaps with their Pico Modular GApps package. It is pretty well stripped down to the minimal that you need for Google services.
Big thanks to @TKruzze for providing these packages!

Go to opengapps.org and download the correct GApps for your device.
You'll need a custom recovery in order to flash it though.

Cant find magisk on AOSP roms in play store

Hi everyone ,im facing an issue where I'm not able to find Magisk manager on the playstore .
This issue is happening in all AOSP ROMs .
After clean flashing the ROM+opengapps/beans gapps .
I flash the magisk v12 zip .Although the icon is shown on the screen it tells me to go to play store and get the app(which gives an invalid search result).
I've tried it on the following ROMs
AOSPplusone by freshgammi
AOSPextended
Hyper Unicorns
Help appreciated

I was unaware of this thanks
I wouldn't expect root and exploit apps to remain on the play store for long, google has been cracking down on anything that changes the default android experience. Including Magisk, since it is technically an exploit like xposed. Its why you don't see xposed on the play store anymore. The future of app development outside of Google's hierarchy is going to be the use of repositories and 3rd party open-source app stores like f-droid to distribute open-source community apps. I honestly got tired of garbage sketchy proprietary ad-infested apps all over google play store locking useful features behind paywalls. Since moving to f-droid, I never looked back.

how to completely degoogle

is there any rom that will completely get rid of google? i tried viper and the play store was still there
i just don't want any gapps
To my knowledge, the only real true way is to root and flash an aosp rom (if available). They usually don't include Google apps unless you flash a gapps zip file. I hope that helps

just delete google play services and playstore manually.
There's a fork of lineage os that removes the google framework. There was an article on xda a bit ago. Anyway, here's the project page (https://lineage.microg.org/) and here's the article (https://www.xda-developers.com/unofficial-lineageos-built-in-microg-avoid-google-services/)

Just download the Google play apk off a trusted site (i.e xda). Then the other apps off Google play.. Unless the update wipes data.. No you do not have to reinstall.
If you do have a system wipe, just keep Google play apk on your ex SD card.
Enjoy

Thanks for you reply, much appreciated, I was wondering however do i need to also install google framework, services etc, as i a have read simply installing play store on a Chinese version is not enough and a number of google installers exist like gms core, however there seems to be a number of people complaining of compatibility problems therefor i was wondering if when my phone comes, i would have major probs installing google apps.
initially i was simply hoping to flash a official stock eu rom, however someone on this forum said that would void warranty, which i was surprised because coming from back to back Samsungs, flashing a stock ROM of another region was not a problem as it was official.
thanks
There I believe if you download those APK.. All that will be included
Like Facebook.. It's all included
You will have to install Google games or other Google related stuff individually... If something is needed Google will tell you, then just go to play and install.
My pleasure to help... Let me know if you need further assistance.
As for honors warranty policy... That's their call, I myself come from a long line of Samsung's.
Yes they are more flash friendly.
Other than that..idk
Good luck cheers
