So, I tried Faux, Aero, stock kernels and a few kernel tweaking applications but I can't seem to find it.
If anybody knows anything about it, tell me.
Thanks!
Come on guys, somebody has got to have something.

Thanks for your help, but that isn't what i'm asking. There should be a option for fast charging via USB cable on custom kernels, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I need it because I don't have a charger at this moment.

maybe if you use faux kernel and lower the clock and use an i / o and a govt that will probably save energy load faster.
Doesnt the Moto G charge at 1.5A? What do you want to charge your phone at 50A ? Wow
Fast Charge is supported and enabled. Use battery monitor widget and if you're getting more than 900mA/h pumped in, then it's enabled.
Anyway tho, this has become an industry standard nowadays on devices with batteries above 2000mAh.
When I had a Nexus S, there was an option to enablele which said USB Fast charge. What it did is, it made it possible to charge your device fast like you're charging it via a power cord, only thing was, it would have been connected to a computer via USB. You couldn't transfer files or anything, but it would charge much faster. For those that don't have a charger, it's great, because your device is charged fast, like it was connected to the regular charger.
Thanks for your help, I will try to ask in the kernel threads.

P.s. i was searching for a kernel with usb fast charge for stock rom and i found the above link!
Ok to start of i bought a car charger that has 2.4amp and a blue socket. I thought it may fast charge but nope regular charge, then i learn qualicom 2.0 is fast charge and i dont understand why fast charger doesnt equal 2.4amp. Then i realized to fast charge eith the mathews app you needed the supported kernal, now that the pshycial charger supports fast charge, kernal supports fast charger, is it 100% fast charge? Kernal, wire, socket. Also...is there a kernal tweak like from synapse to charge faster? And last question) i saw qulaicom 3.0 is out...does note work with it or is limited to 2.0?
Sorry but you just went in 3 different directions you lost me with all your questions a d talking
Yea, basically it all started when i was on the note 3 and i noticed this fast charge app said you needed a kernal that supported it. Then the fast charge feature came out by Samsung software itself, and the adaptive fast outlet it self. So fast charing was introduced by kernal, software, and now hardware. I know kernals can increase performance by increase voltage or decreasing, is there any kernal function like that, that can affect fast charging to be even faster? Then i said a 2.4amp does not fast charge note 5 because qualicom 2.0 is needed, so i adked why isnt a 2.4amp charger not doing the same thint as qualicom. And then i said....on amazon they got a qualicom 3.0 outlet, since note 5 fast chargers on 2.0...will it work on 3.0 speeds? Faster?

I use this one. It's cheap, but it works great. http://amzn.com/B00Y0BPF3C
No, it will not charge faster, although, it will charge at QC 2.0 speed. Any Qualcomm Quick Charge compatible charger should do. If you don't see the logo on the charger you are buying, chances are you will get a fast charge, but not near as fast as the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. Look for this logo:
***The kernel has nothing to do with fast charge, it's worked for me with every sprint kernel out for this phone***
Synapse does not affect the rate of charge for our phone. Regardless of what the settings say the charging rate remains the same. I tested regular, fast, and wireless and they are not affected in any way.
Thanks for info, what about kernal? Why do some support fadt charge others dont. And using synapae can you control how fast or slow it charges?
This phone the n5 already supports fast charging! !! So what are you really looking to accomplish?
I am having some confusion Just wanted to confirm that is it normal that while charging the Droid Turbo it doesn't go into deepsleep? I had already posted in cm12.1 thread but i think it would be better to ask it in this section.
I had used latest nightly of cm 12.1 & cm13 and experiencing same thing. I am using wall charger which supports QC 2.0 with name Tronsmart 3 port wall charger.
If there is someone using stock ROM can confirm that whether it's happening in stock ROM or not than i would be thankful (I don't have the stock rom right now). Just simply install cpuspy and reset the timer after you connect the charger and then lock the screen for few minutes and share experience. mean while i borrow a charger form my meighbour which doesn't support QC 2.0 to confirm its not charger fault. :fingers-crossed:
Deepsleep does not go into effect while the phone is charging. Its a feature of marshmallow put into asop by google, and is not an issue with the phone. The use of deepsleep, or DOZE is to help save battery when you are not using the phone. While the phone is plugged in, its receiving power from the charger and has no need to go into a power saving mode. Your device and charger are functioning as intended
Thanks for the reply and clearing the things for me... i just tested Xperia Z, S3, Note 3 of my friends and came to know they all behave the same while charging....
Does anyone have fast charging working on a Nougat version firmware, stock or otherwise?
I've seen lots of reports of people losing that ability once they moved on from MM. Couldn't find any reports to refute that. My hypothesis thus far is that LG dropped the ball with updating the fast charge detection capability when they updated the software version.
No fast charging issues on Nougat, specially stock and stock based roms.
There might be some issues on AOSP though.

What are you running now?
Trying to troubleshoot, so you are getting the fast charge notice on the lock screen and pulldown notification?
And what kind of cable and charger do you use?
Appreciate it!
I had a Nougat stock G5 which could not fast charge. Reverted to 10J and it works again.

Currently I am on the latest t-Mobile stock 20k with root. I have also tried other stock based roms like Fulmics in the past and didn't have fast charging problem.
The fast charging notification is shown on the lockscreen. I have a original LG charger plus couple of QC 2.0 chargers (Choetech and tronsmart) at work. They all do the fast charge just fine.

Interesting. My final troubleshooting point, are you using a normal USB-C cable, or a micro-USB to USB-C adapter?

Normal USB-C cable. I have my original from LG, I also got a few purchased from Choetech. They all work fine. Using an adapter is not recommended. USB-C cables come with a 56k registor for overcurrent protection, the adapter may not have that. Besides, an adapter would always add extra resistance to the circuit.

Thanks. I forget if I actually used my USB-C to test the Nougat version now, but that might have been a significant difference.
The newer adapters (not really that new since the big push was last year) do have that resistor built in now. I've done quite a bit of testing with the adapters and found that for QC2 and QC3, the amperage and voltage did not change at all and the charging times were identical. But I didn't have all the equipment to test it more thoroughly. And certainly, just because it 'works' doesn't mean it "works."
I did find that one of my adapters may have degraded and cannot reliably do USB data connections anymore, only charge. Time to move on to USB-C cables exclusively then!
As a 'final' update, I took another G5 I own and upgraded it from 10J to the 20A KDZ. This one fast charges fine with the adapter, no issues. So my working theory that it's the adapter is NOT correct. (Plus I was pretty sure I used a real USB-C cable to test it originally).
Not sure why my other one did not fast charge on Nougat. Probably/hopefully not a hardware issue, as it fast charges fine on MM 10J.

Did you ever figure out your other device? Mine sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. It will begin fast charging then switch off. After that I can unplug it and plug it back in to get fast charging to usually stay on.
It seems like a software issue to me...
Sent from my LG-H830 using Tapatalk
I never got to the bottom of this. I returned the one that worked just fine as it was on T-Mobile Jump on Demand. I've kept the newer device on the MM revision and never had an issue with fast charge. I'd be really annoyed if I couldn't get fast charge working on Nougat reliably, but I've not been tempted to upgrade the software at this point.
In your case, it might be the chin piece USB connection that's breaking down. That's the only thing I can think of that would explain why it works only intermittently.
Same issue
I have the same issue after update to android 7.0 and after the update to android 8.0 any solution ? I have the latest update to oreo from T-mobile and fast charging not working for me just i have the notification that fast charge is working . i have the original lg adapter with usb-c cable .
There was no resolution or confirmation of this when I posted it originally. I do know I saw a lot of posts about fast charge not activating when moving from MM to Nougat. There was a report of it working again with the newest Oreo update.
Your post is confusing, you say you DO have the notification that fast charge is working? So what makes you think it is not working?

Yes i have the notification but Fast charge not working, generaly my batterie charge decrease 1%/1 minute , when it's powered off (my phone) i think it charge correctly. Now i have the latest update from T-mobile and the same issue
I'm not sure you are properly able to tell it is NOT working. It absolutely won't fast charge if the screen is on and you are watching it.
So measure the time it takes to go from whatever % you start off with to 100%, with the screen off. I have very detailed measurements of QC working that I can compare your data with.
When the screen is OFF or ON i have a discharge for exemple after 1min from 40% to 39% but when the phone is powered down i have a full charge after 75 min 80 min
1. Are you telling me that if the phone is on, and plugged in and supposed to be charging, the phone doesn't charge? And actually loses charge?
2. And if the phone is COMPLETELY turned off, the full charge takes 75-80 minutes?
Yes exactly i found the same issue in other forum
What could be the reasons for the phone to not fast charge? I have the bundled charger 5v/2a and also the quick charger purchased from honor website 9v/2a but both are bogging down the charging speed. Ampere app results are also in the post. Anybody who could help? Just for the fact I have an unlocked boot loader with twrp and Magisk and I have alreAdy factory reset it couple of times.
Fast charging start at 0% to 50% battery. And it takes time to ramp up and its not that constant. Better way to check if it's working is to see the charging time from empty.
Also from your notification bar I can see it's not fast charging. Fast charge has 2 thunder icon instead of 1. Maybe it's your cable. I have magisk and twrp my self I can still fast charge from my powerbank
If you just unlocked bootloader and install TWP + magisk, I would say you would still have Fast Charge.
You sure you didn't flash a new kernel?
Yeah i tried both normal and fast charger. Still the same i try to keep it charged all the time because when In need it will take forever to charge i even changed the cable.
Yep pretty sure didn't flash a kernel also is there any kernel even available for honor 8 i didn't find any in the Roms and kernel forums
