Paypal App - OnePlus 8T Questions & Answers

I can not login to my paypal account using the app from the play store? it goes to login then goes straight back to login page. Ive disabled my password auto fill app and disconnected my vpn but still no joy. Anyone else having this issue? Im on latest stock international firmware, not rooted either.

I have the same issue, I read that it has something to do with the password and the app not detecting symbols on the password. So if you have that, that might be it. I haven't tried it yet.

It's very strange, I got it working by using the reset password option in the app and it logged in. Thanks for the reply.

Security bug?

I had to reset my Google password this morning as there was some logins to Gmail that I didn't do. After changing my password from my computer I went to make the change in Android but couldn't find a means to.
I went to Google via the phones browser and was asked to login to Google which somehow fixed the problem.
It seems the browser has write access to the system password, which to me seems like a huge security risk. Can anyone else verify this?

[Q] Changed Password, now can't get email on phone

Title says it. I cannot find a way to enter the new password on the phone. It just indicates errors synching, but does not offer to enter a new password, and I cannot find how to change it.
Any suggestions?
If its the gmail account password then your phone should automatically tell you that It can't log in to sync your contacts and what not then ask you for the new password..

It is the GMAIL password, and it is not doing that.
I am getting a message "synch is currently experiencing proglems, and will be bak shortly". Now, maybe that is in fact the case. bit it is quite coincidental that it started immediately after I changed my password online.
....
In fact, I just went in and changed it back to the old password, and it synched fine, so it seems my phone is not operating like you indicate it should.
[EDIT]
You must login to the market. It then asks for the new password, and you are good to go. Cannot do it via GMAIL. Interesting...
[EDIT2]
By the way, it turns out that on that ASUS Tablet, you must do it through GMAIL, not MARKET. Exactly backwords. Go figure...
Lol that's funny. Its been a while sice I messed with it so I couldn't remember

I had tried that. It will not let you because of all the things linked to the account on it. To do that you need to do a factory reset.

2-step verification not working Gtab 2 7"

I recently enabled 2 step verification on my galaxy tab 2 7". I haven't been able to get it to work on my tablet though. It works just fine on my phone (Galaxy Nexus), but it continues to ask me to input my password and subsequently the verification code that was sent to my phone when i try to login on my tablet. I've done this maybe like 6 times in a row before just getting overly frustrated. I don't get whats wrong. I've tried both my password and the application specific password. It always asks me to put in my password. After I put in the verification code, it goes to "processing", then the screen goes black (I'm assuming its the browser crashing) and it just repeats.
This could be a shot in the dark, but try removing your google account and adding it back again. I had this happen with a completely different device, but might work for you too.

Just tried that and it didn't work. Still does the loop. The issue seems to be when the browser tries to hand off the sign in back to the application. I just did the login on my transformer and it worked fine.
It's some thing they broke in the last update. I also use two step and have to a good bit. It was fine prior to the last ota.

You try setting up an Application-specific password for your device? you cant use your normal login plus 2 step to login to the google services from an Android device you need to set up a Application-specific password although you can use 2step in the web browser. but in order to to use the gmail app etc you need to make a Application-specific password at https://accounts.google.com/b/0/SmsAuthConfig?hl=en
EDIT: OK wow I miss read the issue I have not had issues with the browser. you could try using the Google Authenticator app as it might be you codes are getting stale on you.

I agree. If the wifi symbol is not blue that means you are not logged into your main google account. Try logging into gmail from the website to confirm its working. Then check your account settings under accounts in the settings menu on the tab.

rooted Samsung Galaxy 4 on OS 5.01. Can't login to XDA Labs app.

Hello, I am using an old galaxy S4 as a slave device to setup android auto wireless. Ive rooted the device and all thats left is to add the AAgateway app from XDA labs. The problem is that I have tried logging into the xda labs app several times both with username and password and with Google and it won't let me. When I try using my username and password it says the password is invalid. But ive checked if correct several times and also changed my password twice. Still says invalid. When I try using Google, it hangs after I click on my Google account with a green background but its stuck there. Ive cleared cache. Deleted app and reinstalled also waited till next day to try logging in again with no success. Can anyone help me please? I just want to be able to download the apps on xda labs.

I've had this problem once, and it was because the WiFi network wasn't connecting me to internet, see if you can browse internet with your connection. Otherwise your password may be wrong. Did you tried to modify your account's password ?
Also, I think Google login on XDA Labs is broke because Google + is gone, but idk if they fixed it or not because I don't use Google to sign-in.
If you still didn't find the answer, consider asking there :

P.S: I've been using XDA Labs while rooted for about 3 month, and I didn't encounter any problem. So I don't think root is the problem (except if it affects your network connectivity)

I checked the internet connection and its fine. I've changed my password twice and it still says it's wrong. I check several times to make sure my password was correct so not sure why it says its wrong. Ill check the link you sent me.
