here i'll provide you all those roms which i tried and issues for which i quit so please follow thoroughly!!
list of roms i tried and issues faced:
lineage os 15.1[while i was a noob in this field]: https://mega.nz/file/EyYVwYIb#49tJnAcgUICOTUf6eH6TDMnjQvVqd9W3m4KS43A3iN8 :i quit this rom for the presence of microG
havoc os: https://yadi.sk/d/L_UJmrAWbE3YrQ : this was too laggy to be used
rr os: you can find in xda (unofficial built): i quit this because i was unable to root it with magisk!!
titanium os: built from the above rr os developer (you will get in xda): broken built
pixel plus ui: by the above developers: completely broken no magisk support etc. now i quit this developer
lineage os 16 microG: most perfect everif you dont use services like classroom etc.: https://mega.nz/file/ZzwSCSQR#ku4eEoTlYmMq5_QhQ2KznH7CSK-oDxtHw4Z50q7YdvA : i quit coz classroom don't work in microG
corvus rom by the above devs: raw built
crdroid by above devs: raw built
i tested roms from the thread "tested gsi for redmi go" in xda, and found issues there even[ Tested Gsi Images and Firmwares for Redmi go | XDA Developers Forums (xda-developers.com) ]
first i tried descendent rom performance laggy
aosp 8.1: from above thread : screen suddenly gone off when touched after 3 day usage
aosp 9 : from above thread: hotspot issue
havoc os official: from abobe thread: most stable but after few months[1 month] it started issyes with hotspot and wifi and call
caos android 10: from a telegram channel[ search for redmi go file uploads in telegram]: great rom but after 3 week usage it started issue: sudden reboot while playing mcpe!!
now on pixel experience plus rom from the telegram channel: issues will e reported soon

recently i tried a rom #aospe for redmi go : believe me the best rom ever just get it at this getdroid post and only issue is this rom is a rar file hence installation is a bit complex. AHA! let me explain:
. open the rar you will see many files with a folder named 'images'
. open images and seperate all the following files: system.img; boot.img; vendor.img
. open terp or orange fox [any one you have] flash system img then vendor img then boot img
******clear everything except internal and external storage before all this from recovery*****
. now boot and yo u got aospe in redmi go
FUN FACT: i am in this rom now even
Edit: after usage error that you will face is while you are using audio in some other app if any call comes then there would be no incall audio.
Secondly, do you like using scrcpy or tsr project? Then bad news is most of this rom has broken usb debugging. That is no usb debugging prompt appears. You have to manually put the file adb_key

Hey subho, I want to suggest the caos 10 I.e. available in the telegram group I mentioned also its made by someone named gremaxon maybe checkout. I am now using the same getting more than 1and half day battery life which is awesomely better than the stock ROM offered.

Secondly this device redmi go is having a armv7 CPU equivalent to x86 or 32 bit in computer sense. Arm v7 means arm so anything you download use arm version of both ROM and gapps. Don't try the arm64 experimentals in telegram or from anywhere unless you are geek in it and you are ready to waste hours of efforts. There are several experiments with this some may work but it will make you disappointed as the performance will be the lowest.

Yes try that but if you are using my caos ROM or any ROM more than 1gb then try bitgapps as opengapps Android 10 even pico pack gives error 7 (it means insufficient storage)
Any gapps u use but use only arm version

Actually after flashing the ROM flash decrypt and reboot I did the same for More than a year now it works and if you have kept backup of everything then you should not regret encryption. It only removes the recovery and nothing happen more than that.

Hi everyone, I have prepared this noob-friendly guide for booting Q GSI
Guide made for J4+ and J6+
Confirmed working GSIs (remember to download ARM a-only):
AOSP by Phh (only vanilla! Install OpenGapps for gapps) https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases
Links:
OpenGapps Android 10 ARM
Guide:
1) Start from clean stock One UI rom (so reflash LATEST firmware from Odin)
2) Install a custom recovery
3) From TWRP, format /data, then wipe system, vendor, cache and dalvik
4) Flash Lineage OS 16.0 ROM from MacTavishAO
5) Flash Q GSI
6) Go to Wipe > Advanced > select system > Advanced > repair and resize partition 2 or 3 times (until it doesn't say no more errors)
7) (optional) Flash GApps (only pico or nano version, other version can't boot)
8) Reboot and hope
9) Done

Replace AOSP search bar in home and restore Google one:
1) Disable "Search" app
2) Install Google app (link: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-search/ download lastest APK for armeabi-v7 nodpi)
3) Reboot
Force dark mode on all apps:
1) Enable developer options
2) Enable "Force dark mode override"
3) Done (note that some app can have graphical issues)
If you want to select only some app to be forced, use DarQ (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-darq-app-selectable-force-dark-t3944356), it's a great app, it need root

You mean Google login? If yes, then we need a fix from Phhusson, the GSI developer, it's a known issue already reported, so we need to wait, for now you can use alternative App store like f-droid or aptoide

I also noticed that there is a problem with safety net cts profile does not pass and netflix does not launch I think it's because of it if possible to make a fix please I'm a big user of netflix

No, It work with Q, but the installer check Android version, so it lock the installation

Theoretically yes, but trying to open gestures menu it freeze, don't know if exist an adb command to enable this

I'm not sure if this is what the OP was talking about but... PixelExperience 10.0 BETA GSI is there. (I'm pretty sure Redmi Note 6 Pro is ARM64 A)
I tried flashing it and but it wouldn't boot, I was using cDroid so I probably need to go back to Xiaomi.eu rom because Cdroid patched vendor... at least I think that is what this guide says I should do and it says to flash Fixzygote_v2 too so I'mg to try it and see if I can get it working.
EDIT: Ok I flashed the PixelExperience 10.0 BETA GSI in TWRP and then Fixzygote_v2 and it booted to setup. I tried to restore my phone from google cloud and after I entered my pin it wouldn't advance so I rebooted the phone. After it rebooted I was able to restore my google cloud backup, no need to flash Gapp and so far the the bugs I've found is the Camera doesn't work and Wifi is doesn't always work... keeps crashing.
Now that I know Fixzygote_v2 is needed I'm goign to try out some Android Q GSI's.

I found https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/gsi/ but haven't flashed any yet I am still downloading them, Seems like Camera and Wifi isn't working on any of the Android 10 roms I've tried so far.
I guess if I get lucky and find one that works I'll share in the questions&answer section if nobody else had yet..
Every single GSI I tried was either too buggy or too big to install.
I went back to Xiaomi.eu because even crDroid had minor bugs that annoyed me.

EDIT3: I have it on my phone now and so far its working really well... only things I don't like is double-tap to wake doesn't seem to work and with full gesture mode enabled there is still some tiny bar at the bottom of the screen that doesn't see to be able to be disabled

It works for me! The OP posted this rom in Q&A, which let me using havoc 3.0 rom, camera and wifi seems to be ok on this rom using MGC GCAM 6.1.021 BSG mod and nikGAPPS

No Android 10 Custom ROM will have the Widevine status set to L1 (FullHD for Netflix) until Xiaomi releases a Stable update to Android 10 with relative sources.

I have installed the stock version of the GAPS, it works perfectly and no problems with any freezing. Still is very necessary to make fingerprint to work correctly, because you should every time enter the password of your phone instead of simply putting your finger on the screen.
However, in any case, perfect job. Waiting for update

So how did you install exactly? Which firmware etc.??? Which ROM have installed before? Which TWRP you using? Do only a factory reset and so on...?

I used TWRP Team Win Recovery Project 3.3.1-4-pyxis.
Therefore, look through I’ve done:
1) full wipe (format data and typing “yes”)
2) reboot to recovery mode
3) flash fw_pyxis_miui_PYXIS_20.1.21_c911a13d7b_10.0.zip from the main topic
4) reboot to recovery mode
5) flash ROM
6) reboot to recovery mode
7) flash GAMS (stock)
Unfortunately, fingerprint doesn’t work. However, everything else works perfectly. Of course, I had 2 or 3 lock screen freezes and random reboots. Now everything is OK.

[GSI] Xiaomi.EU beta MIUI 11 Android Q - from Mi 8 Lite
Hello XDA Folks!!
I know there are a lot of MIUI 11 Android Q GSIs out there, but all of them are debloated.
So.. I decided to make my own GSI from snapdragon 660 device, non-debloated with all MIUI apps.
Download & Instructions:
That's what I did to get it booting on my device, you can use another vendor and test by yourself:
1- Use vendor from Xiaomi.eu Beta
2- Download Aonly image from here: SourceForge
3- Unpack the archive, reboot to recovery and select the img , then flash it to system partition
4- Use Pie kernel, stock or another custom pie kernel (Don't flash unified kernels).
5- Flash FixZygote then flash magisk.zip
6- reboot and enjoy.
Notes: If you downloaded AB image flash it on AOSP Q vendor,
if you want to flash it on Stock Pie vendor then use MakeMeSAR.zip first
What is working?
- Almost everything that is not mentioned in bugs
Bugs:
- Hotspot
- Face Unlock
- QS panel flickering
- Bluetooth break after flashing FixZygote & Magisk
- Xiaomi Service framework shows error relating to device ID
- You need to freeze Xiaomi Service Framework, Xiaomi SIM Activation Service, and Find device
to avoid being bothered by notifications ( Use Titanium Backup)

You have to uncompress it first.
I did not flash fixzygote. ROM booted successfully but only one SIM working, JIO not working. Should I flash fixzygote also????

Did you use Aonly image or AB image? Venodr? and device?
Basically, you shouldn't flash FixZygote, and the rom should boot fine, but if you flashed magisk it will bootloop, so that's why I said in my instructions flash the fix before magisk.zip.
And on whyred both sim are working...
Im able to boot but I can't add my Google account, it does nothing when click "add" and seems to hang.

Did you installed Aonly GSI or AB GSI?
what vendor are you using?
I can't test because I moved to another rom, someone else might provide help if still using this GSI?
GSIs have bugs anyway, so problems like this are expected...

I'm running into a weird problem with 7.9; I can't restore my local WhatsApp backups with 7.9.

Idk. Everything fine here .Are you using moded whatsapp ( yo ,gb)?. And are you trying to restore your backups using apps like migrate swift?.

No I'm just trying to use local backups, which is something I've always done.
I'm just not getting the prompt for restoring Whatsapp Backup. It tries to get it via google drive (there's nothing there), then it just keeps on searching.
Check your backups are on proper path. It should be in /Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Databases

I've tried both. Up until 7.8, it could restore directly from /WhatsApp.
This time I tried copying the Database folder into /Android/media/com.whatsapp/Whatsapp/Database as you suggested but still no luck
Maybe there was an issue with having two copies of Database? I'll try deleting one and see what happens. Its just that file transfer even with adb push and pull is so slow in Android 11. It takes about 2.5x as long as it did in Android 10 and makes testing of any sort really cumbersome.

That did it!
To clarify, thank you for pointing out for the exact location, I was being lazy and typing out the gist of the address.
But what fixed it was adb pushing my backup directly to the Android > media directly, instead of the /sdcard/ as I had previously done.
