Hello,
Is there any development arround custom Bootloaders on OP6?
Meaning not unlocked, but custom, so I can boot the kernel in EL2 mode.
thanks!

If you can run a custom kernel on P900; does that mean the boot loader is unlocked?

Sorta? If you are running a custom kernel you had to unlock the boot loader to flash it in something like twrp. You unlock it to install a custom recovery. The bootloader contains instructions to boot the kernel and such. If you have root or twrp on it, it is unlocked.
My note 3 is locked (Verizon). I can run custom roms but not kernels.

We can do both freely and easily.
I guess I should get one of these instead of nexus 9 as there are too many issues with the nexus. Thanks.

Since we have gotten no updates or way of OEM unlocking, wouldn't it be possible to request SONY for the Linux Kernel source (spirit of the GNU GPL) of this handset and build a ROM using it just to get past the bootloader?
I am thinking about this in terms of the Amazon Fire tablet that is bootloader locked but somehow got a working CM 12 (or was it 13... can't remember).
ROM is different from kernel, you don't build ROMs from kernels.... and you won't be able to flash a custom kernel without an unlocked bootloader unfortunately.
if its oem locked, what about to flash global rom for ur phone and then proceed from there? as far as i know global roms are not lockedd so strictly
Hello. Even though im having real issues finding oem unlock and am desperate to twrp and root for custom roms. I just recently red that SM-G955F are bootloader unlocked by default. Is this true? Can I go ahead and flash twrp with odin?
Hello! I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my OPPO A57 device. With it not running on official Android, but a fork called ColorOS, Fastboot is disabled. I've tried multiple things and have already bricked my device once due to stupidity. I can flash an unofficial TWRP with it but how would I unlock the bootloader so that the custom recovery doesn't cause issues?

These days manufacturers are assholes because if bootloader is locked you're pretty much ****ed. Unless the manufacturer offers a way to do it on their official website, there is nothing you can do. The only real thing you can do is not buy a phone with locked bootloader.

Hi, I am planning to buy a realme 5 pro device. I love playing around with the custom roms and stuff. I want to know :
Is it easy to unlock the bootloader of the R5Pro ?
If i wanted to flash the stock rom, is it possible to do that?
And how about the OTA Updates and stuff after flashing the Stock rom?
How about relocking the bootloader?
I used a poco f1 before. It is so easy to flash the stock rom and relock or unlock the bootloader on the redmi devices. Please compare with if needed.

Please go ahead and buy it if you are tight budget
Xiaomi devices have more development then realme.
But real me too can be unlocked easily and flashed with custom ROM.
There are very good developers for this device too
Yes you can Unlock and relock bootloader in realme 5 pro. There are official methods to do these process.
There are lot of custom rom available and also you can flash stock rom even after flashing custom rom. You just have to flash OZIP file downloaded from realme website in TWRP and for software updates you can do the same process.
