Hi guys,
I just got my 8T and it is a China set. Therefore I flash it to India rom to get Google services. However I have issues to configure my Gboard (Google keyboard). Whenever I try to configure my keyboard like adding more language, it will back to the previous screen and prompt me the stop running message.
I have tried to uninstall /clear cache/update/ restart/ install apk from external resources etc.
None of it worked. I still encounter this issue.
Does anyone facing this issue. And how to fix this issue. I like Gboard so much I wish I could continue use this keyboard instead of installing a new keyboard as an alternative solution.

Recently I've flashed CM9 nightly 20120427 on my LGE730 Optimus Sol.
I've spotted a problem that whenever the phone is trying to show any autofill suggestions,
like when you search in the Google Play or typing url in DolphinBrowser HD,
the phone will freeze and I have to remove the battery in order to restart.
I've found threads that told me to install and use a third party keyboard.
But nothing changes even I'm using GO keyboard and remove the stock one.
I don't know why it would happen but I hope there is a working solution.
Please help.
First I have to say I really like the look and feel of this rom and really want to use it.
when I flash the ROM initially from a fresh install, when the setup comes up it says the Google keyboard (AOSP) has stopped and I have no keyboard to set up my phone with. not being able to set up my Google account so that I can download my contacts list and stuff or set up my WiFi during the setup. if I skip all the setup steps I can eventually install a keyboard, my preferred keyboard is the a.i. Keyboard. it works most of the time but I will still occasionally get the error that the google keyboard has stopped even though I don't have it selected as the default keyboard. This is the one thing preventing me from using this ROM, because everything else I use works perfectly in there, which is more than I can say about other ROMS. Can anyone tell me how to fix this one thing?
thanks:good:
I rooted and debloated my phone of annoying apps a couple months ago. Apparently I went a step too far and uninstalled an app related to voice recognition. (no backup, unfortunately) I thought it was unneeded and just recently realized it crippled my ability to use voice recognition. The stock keyboard shows the mic button, but does nothing when pressed. Google keyboard wont show the mic and in google keyboard settings the "voice input key" option is greyed and says "No voice input methods enabled. Check language and input settings." There are no settings related to it in language and input settings. Other apps don't work or say my phone isn't capable of voice recognition. I did use voice recognition from the stock keyboard when I first had the phone and it worked fine. I can't think of anything else I did to cause this. I updated the UI to the latest but that didn't replace the file. I really want to avoid resetting and flashing roms so I would love to find that app and just install it again. I remember it having the words, voice, speech, or something similar. I need a list of system files so I can compare it to mine and see what I'm missing. I looked around but couldn't manage to do it. If someone can provide a list or point me in the direction of solving this I would really appreciate it. Huawei Ascend P7 - Android 4.4.2 - Emotion UI version 2.3

Hello
I couldn't find a stock firmware for your device on XDA, but you could post your issue in the Ascend P7 Q&A forum where someone would be able to extract the apk and link it to you.
Cheers,
Quasar.
I have a Nexus7 (flo). I have never been able to get Speech-to-text functional. I think the device came with KitKat, but I've upgraded it all the way through to Marshmallow without getting the damn "Voice Typing" function to work. I'm using the google keyboard, and everything has been stock up until now. A couple weeks ago I flashed to TWRP and CM12, and it still doesn't work. Here's the lowdown-
Google Keyboard is properly set up with my native language.
The microphone icon on the keyboard is shown, but there is no result when it's pressed, long-pressed, or tapped repeatedly in anger.
I've tried several suggestions involving deleting any cache or app data via TitaniumBackup and TWRP.
There is no voice typing option in any of the menus.
I have the following Google-related apps installed:
Google Play Store
Google Keyboard
Google Contacts Sync
And the following Google services:
google backup transport
google account manager
google one time init
google partner setup
google play services
google services framework
Unfortunately I don't know what services or components are required for google voice typing. It didn't work when I had absolutely *everything* from google installed (as it came on this device), so any advice is greatly appreciated!
hello everyone,
got the same problem as artician on my i9100 under CM12. I installed the gapps pico.
Is another gapps version needed? If yes which one?
thanks a lot for anyone's help
Yeah I still haven't heard anything. Not even from Google.

By the way, I am also experiencing some loss of wifi connection. I need to switch off, and then back on the wifi of the phone to reconnect to my router.
Do you also have this problem? (I'm running the CM12 20151116 SNAPSHOT version)
cheers
Hi!
I can't believe how much time I wasted because Google messed something up with voice typing. I suddenly had a new version with a blue microphone circle instead of a mint green one and ever since the voice recognition is so bad it's unusable.
I reverted back to an 11. version and it works again, but Google keeps updating this app despite me having auto-updates disabled everywhere.
How can I prevent this auto-updating.
I have tried creating the directories com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1.apk and -2.apk in the data directory, but that hasn't helped.
I have xposed of course. Any other ideas? Titanium Backup isn't any help, for some reason it can't restore an older version and doesn't even report any errors...
If you are rooted, just flash the Magisk module : Detach , it will automatically remove all listed app from auto update
Unfortunately that, too, didn't work. I installed Detach and uncommented Google App and a day later it had auto-updated again.
It's really annoying, because Titanium Backup apparently cannot restore an older version of Google App. So I have to uninstall it first. But after a restore I then have to go into settings, activate Google voice keyboard, grant the app permission to the mic and set the rights in Xprivacy. On a "real" OS I could just write a script for all that. Grrr.
