LG K61 SOC MTK6765 .KDZ - General Topics

hello everyone, last week I bought an LG k61. I have been surprised with a .kdz with android 10 for lgup, considering that it is a SOC MT6765. I realized when opening settings, with qualcomm it is not the same. I do not want to get into discussions of whether it is better or not, only that by always using the LG V series, I am kind of lost with this. I always use LG on mobile devices. Does anyone know anything related to flashing through LGUP for this model in question?
I have managed to update to android 10 with LGUP 1.16 and the .dll 1.0.40.2 (.msi package). Before I had installed in the laptop LG bridge and the latest wqhl drivers (LG mobile drivers).

In this case I have used the upgrade option, do not use the refurbish option, due to the antiroll-back, you will make it hardbrick.

lg up shuts down at 4 percent, what is the issue?

I'm looking to change firmware. From Colombia to Mexico. Or root would be eveb better. But I'm also used to LGs that are Qualcomm. V10, V30. I'm learning but a little lost on MTKs. LGUP does shut down when it gets to 4% even though I changed the common dll. Anyone figure this out yet?

Your version shouldn't matter... Refurb, or not. The LG Updater should work now.
I ask because when using the updater you have to install lg driver and it ask which device and there are 3 or 4 different ones. Not sure if its the same driver or what?
The drivers for LGP999DW, LGP999DWDU and LGP999DWP are the same. They are the same phone. Two are must designations for LG refurb units. It should not matter which one you use. Also, the updater will tell you which one you have when you connect the phone and the udpater is running. You can then select the exact match to your device if you so desire.

[Q] Can UK get 3D game converter?

I have a stock UK Optimus 3D but software update on phone says latest version is 10d, I have read that people are downloading version 10j with the game converter but are any in the UK as if so how are you updating?
Also tried updating with LG mobile update tool but that doesn't recognise my phone when attached to pc for some reason so that failed (I did install usb drivers but Windows 7 and XP both say its an unknown device although it finds an LG modem).
So at the risk of sounding stupid, how are people getting the converter? And when the gingerbread update comes out must that be done via a pc?

I don't think it's officially out yet.go to the optimus 3d Android development page and download the ROM from there and flash it to ur phone.even my phone is from uk.
Sent from my LG-P920 using Tapatalk
I best wait then as my phones on two year contract and if I flash rom it invalidates warranty. Thanks for the info though.

LG v10 H901 (with Korean board F600s) Update to 6.0/7.0 without Brick

Salam Everyone!
Today i'm going to post About Lg V10 model which says it is of T-mobile (from boot animation) but when you remove battery it show Model H901 (Made in korea) So it is huge confusion between users of this phone. Let me clear this one first, your phone consist of board same as LG v10 Model F600s so if your lg Bridge shows an update of something like "F600S30D 05.27.2017" dont worry it is saying this according to board requirement (Warning: Never update your phone using LG Bridge otherwise you are going to brick your phone). LGup is best for updating LG firmware’s.
Now let’s come to the point on how to update this model to Marshmallow and Nougat. And one thing Do this step by step as described in steps below (one thing i'm not a developer i just do little internet research and with help of some friends i was able to do it without bricking my device).
This you need is for update is Kdz for Marshmallow and Nougat and LG up Software.
Installing and fixing LGup ‘unkown model’ problem:
I've seen some people complaining about lgup not picking up this model so here is a fix you can do it to make it work:
Download LG up software using all the links given below:
Now do it as I say.
- Install LG UP LAB Ver. 1.10
- Install LG UP Store Ver. 1.14
- Install LG UP Ver. 1.14
- Now most important is this file LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23
(Now here is a Check whether your LGup is installed properly or not scroll through follow the following address and check is there “Common” folder have File “LGUP_Common.dll” If not please try this process again.
Address: C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\Common
And after you are done with installing LGup now time to check if this is working remove back cover of your phone (unplug your phone from USB cable, remove the battery, insert battery while pressing the Volume up button and now plug the USB cable. Your phone will turn on automatically with Download Mode on and yes LGup will recognize your phone immediately without any further delay. Showing Model as “H901”
How to check Phone model using Lg info app:
There is one little check you have to do is… go on play store and download Lg info app install it and check your phone info.
Scroll down and See “Provider Name”: (Now here we will see the exact model number of your phone)
- If it shows SK Telecom This means your phone model is LG F600S aka LG V10.
- If LGT this means your phone model is LG F600L aka LG V10.
- If KTF this means your phone model is LG F600K aka LG V10.
Now after Confirming Model Number Now download the relevant firmware but keep one thing in mind do it step by step don’t try to flash direct Nougat on Lollipop okay this will brick your phone as well.
Updating Marshmallow from Lollipop (6.0 from 5.1.1Stock):
As assumed you have downloaded your concerned firmware (you can do a little search on Google and you will find relevant kdz if you need further just p.m me)
- As I have LG F600S aka LG V10 so I will tell you what steps I used.
- First download F600S20l_00_0503.kdz
Now same take your phone in download mode and let LGup recognize it now Select it under BIN File and (Check the Upgrade option) now press start and It will start upgrading. Leave it for a while and let it complete. Now your phone will turn on without any brick  V10 will download some OTA software updates (as it happened in my case). Check your software Update it will surely say 6.0 
Updating Nougat from Marshmallow (7.0 update):
Download the latest firmware from LG firmware website that says “ 7.x Nougat” in my case it was “F600L30e_00_0517.kdz” (Model F600s)
Do the same as you did while updating to Marshmallow. It will successfully update your phone to latest version. No further complications are there in this step it is so simple.
Some Warnings:
- If you are going to use my technique to update please do it carefully do not skip anything.
- I’m not responsible for any kind of brick phones SD cards. As I said I’m not a developer I’m just like you guys was looking for update my phone and done it will little research and help.
- Do not unplug your phone while LGup is updating your phone.
- I’m not developed any software or any update so it is all online stuff nothing personal: D
- And I’m here to help other please feel free to ask anything form me  I’ll try to help as soon as possible 
You can message me on Whatsap I’ll create a group for help on whatsap as well.

@hapyfaroq as you mentioned, you have flashed Marshmallow F600S20l_00_0503.kdz !!! and for Nougat you flashed F600L30e_00_0517.kdz !!! which are totally different models. could you please recheck if you typed F600L30e_00_0517.kdz istead of F600S30D_00_0510.kdz

Everything is double checked and then posted so no mistake in the article
Mine is KTF but now running fine on F600L Nougat (and the pcb says it's F600L), not sure what's really happen here. It was H901 Tmo before got bricked.
Thanks @hapyfaroq @runningnak3d for your time & help
Failed several times and gave up with LG UP. So i took my phone to a mobile service center who is good at software flashing. i gave him nougat kdz F600S30D. He converted kdz to dz format and flashed with Octoplus box. my mobile was on 5.1.1 android and directly flashed Nougat. Booted flawlessly and no network problems as well Everything is working just awesome. attached my video of Nougat Overview

Hey what if I have a T-Mobile H901 with VS990 motherboard in it? By the sound of things, I would need to flash vs990's kdz. However, wouldn't Tmobile's h901 kdz work as well? I don't understand how your modem and boot screen img(tmobile) wouldn't be affected by flashing f600 kdz to tmobile phone.

bro as i explained in detail that flashing H901 kdz on phone having different board in it cause it a brick so better to flash such kdz which is compatible with the board.... Be careful double check with your board model. (this is the most important part) Keep that in mind that if you are going to flash some other kdz it will not work and will brick your phone.
i have everything ready but lgup never found the phone as a MODEL.keep saying "unknown model".
i ve checked lg bridge it founds 2 updates (im on 5.1.1) , lgbridge founds both 6 and 7 updates.
i've downloaded the kdz file according to the bridge and and phone provider(tmobile)
but i don't know if i can flash it with LG flashtool besides LGUP.
Because i can not pass "unknown model" issue.

Read the Article carefully it says never update your phone using LG Bridge it will brick your phone, and for kdz please search lg firmware on google and download the relevant kdz as per the model of your Phone's board. Don't waste your time downloading wrong kdz and lg up is hard to setup... keep on searching you will sure find a fix soon. Do a deep google search (as i did) you will figure out what is the problem behind Lg UP

Salam Bother,
I am new to this and I have joined because of my LG V10 as the mobile was working fine and suddenly it became very slow like if I click on any thing It will take about 2 to 3 seconds before opening and also some times mobile stopped responding and screen became black. I wanted to know if it is a software failure or any thing related to hardware? one thing more phone is turning on and there is no issue with network, wifi, camera even I can use any app on it but very slowly.

Bro first of all you need to confirm your phone board model using Lg info app ... you can find it on playstore for free and for lg up do all as i said above then turn off your phone remove the battery... plug in the usb cable... now install the battery while pressing volume up button it (make sure you lg up software is running) then your phone will directly go into download mode and Lg up will sure recognize your phone model but first of all confirm your phone's board model.

Thank you. That worked.
Fastboot is gone on my cross-flashed PM model. I verified that fastboot still works when rolling back to Oreo. Lame.
I cannot for the life of me get any of the LG software on Windows to work with my LG G7 ThinQ Sprint (710PM). I chatted w/ LG support and they said that they don't support after 6.0 which I don't believe that is true.
MTP is enabled and the phone shows up in device manager as well as my pc. I cannot for the life figure it out! I've tried it on my desktop as well as both of my windows tab pros.

I used LG UP 1.15 to update to Pie, and used the same to go back to Oreo.
I'm also not sure if fastboot is *supposed* to disappear when going to ULM Pie on a PM model, or if it disappeared because I goofed when I originally tried to flash using the patched LG UP 1.14, which promptly crashed while flashing and made my phone have the common "no serial number in the menu" issue (and who knows what else). It's possible the removal of the serial has caused some other issue, maybe? At least one user on the Telegram group has confirmed that when running the ULM firmware on the ULM hardware, fastboot is still available on Pie. That has not at all been the case for me, though.
In general, I think it's a good idea to just avoid the patched LG UP 1.14. I'd just wipe with 1.15 command line and deal with restoring after each update. 1.14 causes problems, and, in my experience, the upgrade option doesn't work anyway.

Not that I've seen. I can't root anymore because I can't get to fastboot to flash / boot a rooted boot image. Other than that, though, everything seems pretty much the same as it was on Oreo. No crashes or nasty battery drains that I've seen so far, though it's only been a couple days.
Not much difference between Oreo and Pie here.

LG v50 Sprint v450pm can not update OTA or flash stock rom

I have a problem with my phone that I cant be updated. I found many times on internet about its rom, on lg fanclub but there's no kdz file for v450pm. Can you guys help me with this problem??? I went to setting and it show software version v450p10n although my friend also have a LG v50 v450pm like me but his phone show v450p20h and android 10. Can u guys show me the tip?? Lots of thank!!
here is kdz file for v450pm: Firmware LG V50 ThinQ 5G LMV450PM for your region - LG-Firmwares.com (lg-firmwares.com) there's nothing
and here is kdz file for v450vm: Firmware LG V50 ThinQ 5G LMV450VM for your region - LG-Firmwares.com (lg-firmwares.com) there are 3 files kdz!!!
Sprint(v450pm) phones don't usually have their kdz published. So you can't update or downgrade using that method. I also have the phone and I got OTa to 20h in December. Have you modified the phone in any way? Root, uninstalled system apps, etc? You can try clearing data of "FOTA update", all 3 "software update" and "update center" , restart the phone and try searching for new software again. If it dose not work, you may have to try a factory reset of the phone.

I got the exact same model as yours, but sim unlocked, open box never used, about 10 days ago.
Because i use it in Europe,i was really worried if it was going to get any further updates beyond android 9 with which it came from the seller i bought it.
After a lot of searching here and there before buying it,most people, and the seller included, where assuring me that it would get android 10 and every OTA updates in future, because Sprint roms are not completely locked like AT&T for example.
Everyone said that i would get the updates as it should, but i could not flash any rom because Sprint never publish it's roms.
Someone suggested me not to install my carrier's sim card when i power on tge phone, and let it just connect via wifi, saying that this way is more safe to get updates.
The reason why should i do that,he explained me,is because sometimes our carriers implement their set up or something like this,in our device, through the carriers settings app,and with that way we couldn't get updates.
Long story short, when i got the phone,i just powered it on,without inserting my sim card, and right after the set up,i got the first update notification, which was upgrade to android 10.
After this first update,i continiously took 3 more updates, one after the other in an hour, with my final update to be v20h December 2020.
So my opinion is if you don't mind, try and factory reset your phone, backing up first,in case something goes wrong, and set it up again from scratch, without your sim card..just give it it's time to connect to LG servers.
I hope it helps.

thank you. i bought another phone, k20 pro. it's ez for me to flash, up anyrom i want. really love this. i hate lg from now
I wanted a custom rom until none of them supports the quad dac, even if i get a next device I'll still keep the v50 as a dedicated music device with a 512 SD card. I'm on sprit version and it updated to v450p20j yesterday, fingers crossed for 11 but LGs history for updates is a gamble.
