Alright so this is only done on user demand since GSI's were not booting with stock and custom rom vendor images
Install Instruction:
* Flash OFFICIAL TWRP
* Format /system, /data and /cache
* Flash vendor zip:

* Flash boot.img:

* Install any Pie GSI system image using TWRP (Install image -> choose your system.img -> select system partition)

This is basically for properly made GSI (built from sources for example: the one from phhusson or based on his sources)
I am not sure if OEM ported (sGSI) will boot
But we will see what we can do. Thanks

@kubersharma the vendor image does not seem to work with OEM ported GSIs. I've tested MIUI but that got stuck on Asus logo, didn't reach the bootanimation.
I've attached a zip (2 logs), one was tested with the vendor image on this thread and second with default Arrow vendor.

As the OP says it's for source built pie GSIs

There is a huge background story on how messed the treble is in our device right now thanks to Asus, for having too much blob dependency on system.

I tried pixel gsi but that didn't even reach bootanimation. Did you flash any additional patches?
Edit: I flashed permissiver and fix_zygote.

Sorry for the off-topic question but I have an Asus Zenfone 4 (ZE554KL) on which with the Oreo and Pie upgrade ASUS standardized BLOBs but does not created a dedicated vendor partition, so no official treble support. I wish I could flash the GSIs on it. The part of creating the vendor partition is no problem, but would you have any tips or tutorials on how to properly move the files from /system/vendor to /vendor in a functional way and the boot img hack needed to boot? Thank you very much!

Click reboot and immediately, at the exact instant that the screen is blank, start holding down Volume Down and Power buttons together for a couple of seconds.
You will be in fastboot mode.
Then download this file https://dl.google.com/developers/android/qt/images/gsi/vbmeta.img
Move this to your fastboot folder on PC.
In fastboot execute
fastboot --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
Then follow the steps to install a software called TWRP.

Select wipe, then select factory reset. After success select flash then select your ROM zip(lineage-17.1-xxx.zip) and flash.
Then flash opengapps the same way( ARM64, Android 11, Pico)

What is PixelFeel?
PixelFeel is a modified version of LineageOS to look like a Google Pixel, especially for devices which do not have a PixelExperience ROM available. I know there is one for the S5 Neo but the download no longer works.

How To Install
Note: This ROM is not a traditional ZIP file. Please read this first!
Spoiler: Read Before You Attempt!!
1. Boot into TWRP Recovery
2. Download the ZIP from below and extract the contained folder. Copy the extracted folder to the phone/SD Card
3. Within TWRP, wipe System and Data
4. Now, navigate to Backup, and select the previously extracted folder.
5. Select all of the included partitions to install.
6. Once installed, reboot the phone to system. You should now have PixelFeel!

Yes ive been meaning to add that in for a while now, ill probably release a new build soon.

In earlier days in custom recoveries there used to be a possibility to include system partition in nands. But I can't find a setting to enanle this in Orange Fox, same in TWRP.
Am I missing something, or is system included automatically?

Newer devices (like A52 and A72) have a partition called "super" that contains system, vendor, product and ODM. So if you back up super you automatically back up all of those.

Thanks for explaning, maybe it should be included in op for all those who are used to the "old" way.

Use twrp to install orangefox zip, then in orangefox, you can flash magisk.zip as usual for root
