The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

Me too facing this problem.
I flashed the crDroidAndroid-9.0-20190528-tiffany-v5.4.zip image to my Mi 5X using TWRP but the device just boots up to a black screen. Eventually it makes sounds as if booted, but still no display.
Can anyone give advice on the above?

Thank you for your effort
ROM isn't installing when flashed with TWRP. I'm using it on a A6010 PLUS.
TWRP log below since I can't screenshot it:

Alright, I managed to remove the error by updating my TWRP and the ROM flashed.
Rebooted to system, its stuck on Lenovo boot logo. I had it wait out for 15 minutes but it didn't change and its confirmed a bootloop. Had to flash my stock LP ROM since yours obviously did not work.
Are you sure the ROM is stable?
лучший crDroid на данный аппарат (1/8)
но не работает камера и gps.. как-то можно исправит?
slow charging... how to fix it?
The camera is not working. The system runs a little bit slow.
A6010 is an old phone and such newest android versions are laggy.
Lenovo A6010 runs best with the ResurectionRemix 5.8.5 SE Nitro (Android 7.1.2)
If someone wants here is the link - https://mega.nz/file/uIgXwCpY#Qy39X3QHPUY-PzXQlXRNe1EDMGnhF9GlBW1HvgZ6dAI
The rom is prerooted with Magisk 16 and you need to update it to the latest version.
The install is the same:
- You need to be on TWRP 3.2.3 (port from A6000) - https://mega.nz/file/WEYkAaIa#UNgail2O3M2usd2GnKLqlNa_HJ1ZsYBfk4Lhu10TYsA
- Wipe Dalvik, System, Cache, Data
- Flash the rom
- Flash Gapps (ARM + 7.1 + Pico)
- Flash Dax A7000 to support Dolby Atmos - https://mega.nz/file/yRwhQDqS#NWbORKVzkQyPGeAbCsoivYwPk895-BNhW78HHsAanQc
- Reboot
Everything works well and no lag. I know Android 7.1.2 is an old OS at that point but is the best running custom ROM.
I've tested crDroid 6.7 (Android 10) and the Camera is bugged, I've tested ResurectionRemix 8.6.7 (Android 10), and all works but is too slow and laggy. If someone wants to test RR 8.6.7 here is the link - https://mega.nz/file/DJIygLxJ#NtXiR4rwSUjBe9gUBwFsaWKhynHwaLHTbop8ubylaCQ

Try switching off the device by holding all three buttons, once it switches off, connect the device via usb cable, if it shows realme logo, try pressing Volume down+power. this should take you to fastboot.
My device is RMX1833 and currently it's on C23. So, would this ROM work with that?
Any specific recovery is required for flashing this rom?
