Phone shuts down over night - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Yesterday the phone did not wake me up, holding the power button it directly booted up again, just like it was turned off.
The battery was charged at 55% and there was no update in recent days, so I doubt its a software issue.
The same happened today as well... This is starting to bother me.
Is there any way to find out why it shut down ?

Don't know how to help you with finding out what causes the shut down but I'd check the "planned shut down/turn on" option in battery settings. Even if that's not it you can try to use it to force the phone on before your alarm goes off.

HTC Dash Crashing

My friend recently gave me an HTC Dash for T-Mobile. It's running WM6.1 Kavana's ROM 1.33.424.2. After he gave it to me I unlocked for AT&T completely, 100% legally. I called T-Mobile and they gave me the unlock code.
But since I've been using it it will randomly turn off. It seems to shut off more often using MMS or anything through the Internet, but it will also turn off just sitting in my pocket or while texting. Luckily it hasn't ever crashed during a call.
When I try to turn it back on it will either shut down before fully turning on (it will show the boot screen but turn off), it will turn on but say the battery is dangerously low and it needs to be shut down, or one time it had an error message saying "The device could not be started due to sudden loss of power. Click YES to continue or NO to shut down. Please be sure the device is completely shut down before removing the battery." If you click YES it shuts down. If you click NO the screen turns white then tries to start up a few seconds later and fails.
The way I stop this is plug it in to a charger and turn it on so it can't die. It says the battery is low but since its plugged in it won't turn off. Then once it turns on I turn it off normally by tapping the power button and selecting Power Off. Then I take out the battery, put the battery back in, turn the phone on, and then the battery is back to the power level it was before the crash and the phone works fine again. But any texts or calls I had made in the past few minutes are erased as if they hadn't been made, sent, or received.
I've already tried a few hard resets and it doesn't seem to work. I even downgraded to WM6. I just want to know if this is a software problem, a battery problem, a hardware problem, or something else. Thank you to anyone that can help.
Welcome to the forum
I assume that your battery is working ok right?

I just started experiencing that my phone wont go into sleep mode after pressing the power button. I can hold it down and pop up menu to turn off shows, and bring it out of sleep after the 15 sec delay i have set up but thats it any ideas?
The only issue I have is when the phone goes to sleep wifi turns off and the captivate starts charging data to my plan. Does this happen to anyone else and if so is there a known cure?
I had my phone not go to sleep at set timeout one time. It may have been due to an app i installed. I rebooted and no problem since.
As for using data when asleep - Wifi turns off when the phone goes to sleep mode - this is the way it behaves, same as iPhone and other android phones. You have some app connecting in the background, maybe email sync?
You can keep the wifi on during sleep by going into the Settings-> Wireless and Network -> Wi-Fi Settings. Press the menu button in Wi-Fi settings press on "Advanced".
In there is an option called Wi-Fi sleep policy. Switch that to Never and you shouldn't have to worry about the wifi turning off when in sleep mode.

Captivate Shutting Down Instead of Sleeping
Mine is doing this too, as are a few others, from the look of some posts on here. Mine started after a day and a half and two full charges. Suddenly I would go to wake it up and it will have turned off.
I'm thinking I might take it back to the store to exchange it, as not everyone is experiencing this problem. Sucky. I did notice that the battery, after you take the door off, is a little wiggly on the side opposite the connectors. I wedged some thin paper in the between the battery and the battery slot and it still did it. Got to be a problem with the individual phone.
Total PITA!!
I had problems with mine shutting off while in sleep mode and I uninstalled SetCpu and my task killer and it stopped doing it....

[Q] Odd issue I started having all of a sudden

Just over the past 2 days my GTab would go to sleep and refuse to wake up. Hitting the volume rocker did not wake it up and neither did hittng the power button. So I set the screen timer to never and set it in my Malata dock and had it sitting there running clock. After 2 or so hrs. (was not in the room) tab shut itself down.
Took about 30 min of hitting the volume and power button repeatedly before it decided to reboot.
Is this something to be concerned about? is my tab about to brick itself? It just happened all of sudden and I was caught of guard.
I have been running TnT lite 4.2 since purchase with no issue outside of market. Now all of sudden this.
Should I roll the rom back to stock and start over? or is there something I need to be looking at?
I know I can adjust the screen timer, but is there an actual "sleep" setting I can adjust?

Hey, I don't know if this might help. I read this on the Nvidia dev. page a while back concerning the Tegra 250 & Tango board which is what I believe we have in the G Tablet (I could be wrong!)
"Due to a problem with the battery charge controller on some Tango units, you must charge the battery ever 2-3 weeks. If you find that the battery is plugged into the charger but remains at <7% charge, please try charging the battery for 6-12 hours. If the battery remains at <7%, please contact NVIDIA as the battery needs to be replaced.
In certain power saving configurations, touching the screen or "Android buttons" at the top of the device is not adequate to wake the device. To work around this, try inserting or ejecting the SD Card to wake the device. Failing that, you will need to reset or power cycle the Tango. Alternatively, please set the screen timeout to 30 minutes (Menu->Settings->Display->Screen Timeout)."
I have no idea if this will help, but hopefully it will.
Good Luck.
Thanx for that info. I did try pulled the SD card thinking that might force it to reboot, but it did nothing. The unit was is in fact shut down, not sleeping. It took alot of button pushing to get the unit power on. Now that it's up and running again, I have gone through all the sleep settings and it still happens. The longer I let it sleep, the more likely it shuts itself down.
Gonna call viewsonic today and see if I can get any help from their and.

Random power-off

So I had something interesting happen this morning. I was listening to a podcast app through Bluetooth. I wanted to pause, so I flipped open my case, the screen turned on, and when I pressed the home button (oops I meant to just rest my finger on it. Still getting used to that) my phone...turned off.
Despite the title, I would say it didn't power off. It was like pulling the battery. Screen just turned off and I couldn't get it back on. Pressing and holding the power button didn't do anything. I was unable to do anything until I plugged my phone in. Then the battery charging indicator came on the screen. It was at 93%. I unplugged, and then when I held the power button it booted right up.
I have no idea why it did this. I doubt it was an app issue, since I couldn't get the phone to power up. Anyone else had something like this happen? Other than this I've had zero issues with the phone. I've left it at stock, unrooted.
