Hello i just found out that some other versions of the Nord have access to an equlizer. I listen to alot of music and want to tune the music to my preferences. So i was wondering if it existed any way to unlcok it on the phone like you can on the 7,7T,8 and 8T but for the Nords Dirac tunner.

I'm wondering of there is an easy effort that I can do to disable the volume duck that occurs when I receive a notification (while listening to music)
Some ROMs have a setting g for this, but I'm wondering if someone could direct me to the proper file I might edit and turn this feature OFF..
I like my notification sound to just play over the music, or just not bother me..

Pretty sure this has to do with what app you're using for playing music, and whether it uses the mediaplayer of your device or it's own custom one.
it's true, I hated the ducking but was able to disable it in PowerAMP settings.

Yeah, PowerAMP uses its own media service.
Is there a music player that has this feature that doesn't cost money? I'll pay for Poweramp if there isn't. VLC for Android, for instance, doesn't have this feature.
Edit: After some trial and error with various programs, I've discovered that MX Player plays back audio without ducking, but a drawback is that it doesn't have dynamic playlist creation capabilities (you need your files ordered in folders). It also plays Opus files, which is something that I was also looking for.
Another app, Rocket Player, will let you choose *between* ducking and pausing (under Settings->Sound->Audio Focus->Temp Focus Action), but it won't let you disable the action completely. That being said, I've found that for audio books and podcasts, I actually prefer pausing to ducking or no ducking, so I like Rocket Player in this respect (same goes with Poweramp).
guys,COS 12+ has this option in their OS. the question is there any xposed modules to do the same action like in COS ?? ( I'm not sure if it's available in CM12+ roms or not ) any idea?

Does anyone know of the best equalizer apps for our phones? I've used a couple in the past and it had good bass, but it dropped the volume. And I'm asking of an app that would improve the sound from my BT to my vehicle to play my music. Oh, I use Google Play music as my source too.

There's a built in equalizer in the phone settings. Probably won't find one that works right as an installed app.

Power amp. There is an equalizer in that app that works better than the stock equalizer.
for the S8 or Note 8 try Noozxoide i found to get the benefit i had to disable sound alive using BK disabler and it actually sounds almost as good as Viper4Android, all done without root and it gives volume a real boost too, its the best ive seen so far second only to viper

This is a system-wide equalizer. I didn't notice any deterioration of soundquality. I think, it has nothing to do with the preinstalled Atmos surround engine. I must admin that I don't use the preinstalled Dolby app and I'm listening with earbuds to music - for this purpose I'm glad to have this equalizer

The thing what I've really missed is the customisable equalizer. I used to listen music on my Lumia 625 that was offerred with WH 530 headphone ( Coloud Boom ). That was the point when I decided to use only Nokia phone in the future. I loved that because it has amazing sound quality with affordable price. After I bought a Nokia 6, I had previously decided to get a same headphone. Generally, for the best performance devices shall be customisable because different headphones has different characteristics.
Now it's aviable and I so happy with it!

like you said maybe it worse than stock with some nokia touch inside the preset
but some people missed some settings that we couldnt see in our stock dolby atmos app
if you talk about quality, i only used dolby when on phone speaker only and turn it off when on handsfree or bluetooth just let our plug in devices take the rest if want some quality :good:

it works but the sound on speaker is so much compressed after you put the volume at more than 50% it's all distorted
I can't compare the sound to 7.x because I got the phone and updated to 8.1 first

is on nokia 6.1 have default dolby ? If no you cannot install on your phone, in nokia 6 2017 has internal dolby and this apk add some view of dolby atmos than in installed phone dolby apps. there some apps but if you want feel better effect some apps need root like viper, am3d port and dolby atmos itself. But i suggest you using music player that include equalizer like poweramp etc.

Right now I can't feel the taste of music which I was having earlier with Dolby Atmos.
I would like to know if currently there is a way to get Samsung´s separate sound feature like this one on other Android phones, in my case an OnePlus phone. Also, if it´s possible to modify android to also allow multiple audio app playback (like playing spotify and youtube at the same time).
Is it already possible or it would really require some kind of audio engine redesign? Couldn´t this work with magisk modules and root?

If what you are asking about is a Samsung specific feature, you will not be able to use it because Samsung specific apps and features only work with Samsung stock software.
Hi my name is gavin, if youve been looking at the ROM forums for A12 Roms Like Evolution X you probably know me and I like listening to music I play rhythm games for a living but we're getting off topic, so I can listen to music with better audio quality I use V4A and I went from EvoX to Havoc and then back to OOS and on all of those ROMS V4A works but I cant seem to get it working on stock OOS it would be most grateful if someone sent me a guide on how to install it.
