SuperUser Got deleted and I can't open root apps anymore - General Questions and Answers

Hello
I recently rooted my 5.1 Android Huawei phone with kingoroot and it worked well for a while
The main reason I did is to gain space on my phone by linking apps to SD card by link2sd
I did that and all worked well
Until i restarted my phone for some reason and all those apps disappeared
It happened twice and apparently the second time SuperUser app was in the sd card
I got frustrated and ended up formatting the sd card and creating a new ext partition and all
Now i re installed my SuperUser app and it's not opening
not only that, Link2sd isn't opening too
and i think all apps that need root permission
Kingoroot app apparently works fine and says I do have root
I installed SuperSU and it says SU binaries are occupied
Root permission apps just keep loading and crash eventually,
It's frustrating to me cuz my phone storage is very limited and i need to link app to SD card
How can i solve this?
Thank you

@Zen999xx
Try replacing Kingo ROOT with SuperSU from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/2020-replace-kingroot-v5-x-or-kingo-root-with-supersu.3904880/
If that doesn't solve the problem, then it may be Link2SD fault not superuser.

Lost Root?

Hey guys, I just recently rooted my phone and installed the newest Cyanogen ROM.
But I have a problem.. Whenever I try to install apps to the internal memory on my phone it will crash and reboot before it installs...
Also when I try to copy apps to my phone from SD card it says 'Memory full' but I still have 170MB's of internal memory available.
When I use the Terminal Emulator on my phone to 'fix_permissions' it says Permission denied for each one..
I have manage to use the ROM manager to do Fix Permissions, but it didn't fix the problem.
Could this be I have somehow lost root?
Or would it be something went wrong with the ROM installation?
Thanks.

[Q] Rooted Huawei G6 - Apps can't access phone memory

Hi,
I have a Huawei G6 from China. I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it with vroot and installed SuperSU.
I can install GoogePlayStore and all kind of different apps from it. And they work mostly fine. But for some reason some apps show issues:
- I can't take a picture. It says "Storage full, install SD card". Although phone memory is still around 1 GB left.
- I can't open files from Dropbox. "Not enough memory, or storage full"
- ES File Explorer doesn't show local SD card
- Some apps, like Waze just won't run "Waze can't access your SD card. Make sure it isn't mounted". That one totally confuses me.
What's missing? How can I fix this?
If wrong sub-forum pls move this post accordingly.
Thanks
Andy

I had the same problem.
Just unroot with SuperSU and your problem is solved.

Excellent! That worked.
Do you then use anything else as substitute? Is it actually required?

Ok I resolved as described in this thread, in this way obviously the phone became unrooted. I really don't know how the problems described can be caused by rooting it, how is it possible ?
Does the problem described depends on which method used to root the phone ? I used the towel application (last version) , is there any root method for G6 that doesn't lead to this issue ?

[Q] Rooted KitKat 4.4.4 SD Fix Stopped Working after a Couple Months

Need help please!
My Xperia Z1 Compact running rooted stock 4.4.4 can suddenly no longer write to external SD after a couple months of having no problem after applying NextApp SDFix.
As soon as I got the phone, I rooted it and used SDFix to enable write access to the external SD card. This worked for quite a while, but this morning I started getting errors from every app that I had configured to store its files on the external SD. BeyondPod could no longer update, my camera reported a memory write error when taking pics, etc.
I re-ran SDFix but it said the fix was stil in place. I also got the same results with other similar apps. I even visually inspected the /system/etc/permissions/platform.xml file and ensured that the fix applied by SDFix was still in place.
I verified root and BusyBox with Root Checker Pro, but both were working fine.
I did notice that I had somehow lost my recovery, so I re-installed the Xperia dual recovery that I had installed after first rooting the phone.
So far nothing has helped.
I'm not sure where else to go with this. I've read many posts of people losing write access when upgrading from an earlier android version to 4.4, but nothing on losing it after successfully getting it working on 4.4, with no upgrade.
Any suggestions, help, feedback is welcome! Thanks in advance.

[Q] use external SD as internal?

As the name implies, is there a way I can force the shield tablet to primarily use the external SD card for all day to day IO Activities? It's already a hassle to use Foldermount to move everything in and out using symlinks, sometimes but rarely, the symlinks fail to mount which can be an inconvenience without restarting the system to remount.
I hear it's possible via editing the fstab and what not but I wonder if there's an easier way of doing it. I don't mind if the process softbricks my tablet since I got everything backed up nonethless.
Hey
When I had a jxd 7800b before my shield tab
I flashed a custom ROM on to it that let you do just that have SD as internal
So in theory it could be done to this too

There's an xposed module that does this flawlessly called XInternalSd , all you'd have to do is flash the correct version of the xposed installer for the android version youre running and activate the module and select the Sd card as default storage :good:

[Fixed]Need some help

Alright, I've tried everything I could, looked online(/in the forums) for solutions or help, but I just can't figure this out... After struggling a great deal installing the 5.2 update on my K1, I decided to simply flash the 5.2 recovery os image and start from there.
That went fine, so I went to install Magisk to root my tablet, but that didn't go as well. I ran into the same issue I was running into trying to update to 5.2 which is that my storage doesn't properly mount in TWRP (it works normally when using a file manager on the tablet itself and gets detected as it should by the storage manager in settings). I formatted the SD-card I'm using as partially Internal/adaptable storage and partially external, which is probably what causes the problem as TWRP shows the external SD card perfectly, but of the internal storage it only shows the contents of a folder named "InternalStorage' (presumable /sdcard/internal storage, however I can't actually see this to confirm) which is present on the root of the internal SD card. Any files that are in for example my Downloads folder on the internal storage aren't shown in TWRP. I thought installing a factory image would fix this issue, but it hasn't.
In either case, to get around this issue I sideloaded the Magisk zip file to root and it wen't as expected, didn't get any errors. But after booting my tablet, the Magisk Manager app wouldn't finish loading, it's stuck on the flash screen with the Magisk logo. Used the uninstaller and reinstalled through TWRP by placing the zip files on the external SD card and the app still won't load properly. I figure it has something to do with the way I have my SD card setup/partitioned, but I'm at my wits end as to how to fix this atm...
Any help will be appreciated! Preferably something that doesn't include re-partitioning the SD card
PS: The tablet was rooted with SuperSU before the factory reset, but I'm wanting to make the switch to Magisk because I want to install the Sony Framework to use Remote Play. If there is any other way to install the Sony Framework, using Xposed for example, I can maybe try rooting with SuperSU again.
EDIT: I fixed the issue, turned out the app was installed on the external sd card, moved it to internal storage and it worked!
