Blackview BV9500 Plus customized rom - General Topics

I have a requirement for custom ROM for bv9500 plus.
I want to remove the camera option in it and should support google apps.
Let me know if you can give me a quick solution with the software for this, I am ready to pay for your fees.

Tap & Pay

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone knows with the new 4.4 kitkat & nexus 5, if developers (namely banks/credit card providers) are now able to access NFC for developing apps to make use of tap & pay?
I ask because google wallet seems to be strictly limited to the US, and getting around the geo-block is near impossible & very much a hassle. I'd just like to know if anyone knows if we are going to see other payment apps being made other than wallet? I see in the tap & pay settings that it would show a list of apps that make use of it, so that means more than 1 (wallet)?!
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I really would love to be able to use NFC to shop in Australia, it's very useful!
Thanks

Custom Roms & Pixel Software?

Hello,
can anyone tell me, if or wich custom ROMs do include the pixel software?
For instance, is the camera-software the same (good) and is there still Google Assistent present?
I don't want to spam each rom-thread with this same question, maybe someone can tell me before I go custom.
The camera software and Google Assistent would be a reason to stay with stock & Xposed, even if I normally prefer custom ROMs.
Thx

That i known is for Google assistant is present on all roms out there
Yes, they all should have it....
They all have Google Assistant, but they all are missing the squeeze feature to activate it that way. Activation by voice is working.

Suggestion for MI 10 Pro Chinese to Global or just Gapps?

Hey guys, just got the MI 10 Pro Chinese version. Wondering if there's a seamless way to change it to the Global version OR should I just consider finding and adding the latest Gapps to it?
Anyone using just Google Apps and if the experience is the same as any global rom?
Also if someone can point me to the correct global rom thread and where to find the latest Gapps?
Thanks!
I am also wondering something along the lines of this. I have a Mi 10 ultra on Chinese Official Rom and have had some issues relating to your question. I basically debloated the device to the max and added all the Google apps and play store. It works quite well after some tweaking to get it the way I liked it. I do have some issues. 1. Basically cant get the assistant app to work. The main reason is the permissions keep getting reset requiring my reapproval each time its activated which kind of defeats the purpose. same thing happens to the phone and message google apps where the phone defaulted to the Mi stock dialer and message. not sure why. 2. I get random updates settings changed. Like one time I had a new AOD image. No idea why. 4. Some minor random updates like 1 every 3 days. These are the biggest issues ive noticed so far. Overall this device is awesome so I'd personally prefer it to be Gapps optimized but I don't want to fool with having a rooted device and the hoops involved in use since I use my phone for work and play.

Switch from iOS to 8T - some questions

Hello
I did pick an Oneplus 8T on Prime Day, its still sealed and
last 3 Days i collect some Informations about Android / OxygenOS and about Custom Roms and Debloat Stuff.
I had an Samsung Galaxy S2 as my Daily Driver , at this time Android was really Bad
in the end i Root and used Cynagon with Android 6? idk anymore.
since those Days i used Apple Devices as my Daily Driver, i try some breaks from the Apple ecosystem with an P30 Pro and S10+ ( for an Month ) but switched back to iOS cuz Privacy issues.
And this is the Reason why i start the Thread "Privacy" is important for me.
So how is the Privacy and influence from Google to Track and Spy at you if u:
1. Create a New Account
2. Turn everything OFF u can
3. Dont use Google APPĀ“s / Services ( Not that hard .. if coming from Apple )
4. Debloat with ADB
and using maybe only the Google Playstore.
Thanks for any helpfull comments
Lineage OS is officially supported on the 8t, for privacy i'd flash that and not use gapps. You can get your bootloader unlocked easily and be off the to races
Or just use oos and debloat all of Google apps with xxxnolimits magisk ROM
You can use Android without creating a Google account. You can also disable pretty much every app.
You do need a Google account to use the Play store. So if you want to install apps without an account, just download APKs from the internet.
Just curious, what kind of information do you not want to share with Google? Or Apple for that matter?

Pixel3 custom ROMs status in 2022

Hi,
First sorry for this vague post. I am on Android since 2012. During 2012-2014 I used to try out lots of custom ROMs as I was in college and I had mobile like Samsung Galaxy S3 and then later Nexus and the OEM abandoned the updates after a while. After that I started working and since then have been on multiple Google line of devices, first Nexus and now my latest is Pixel3. I am generally happy with the phone. However, my Pixel3 stopped receiving updates I started thinking why I should dump this and buy a new one when it's perfectly working fine for my need.
I just came to this site after like ages to see what is the current status of custom ROMs. It seems overwhelmingly new now. I remember back then we had some sharp edges and something or other didn't work. Since then I am more into google ecosystem now. I use google Fi for phone. I like and use most of the google feature. So just wondering what will I lose by moving to custom ROM and am I ready to live without those features or should I just accept that I will not have any updates and if I need the updates I will have to buy a new phone.
I am not much interested into rooting and gaining advanced controls or doing anything extra nerdy. I will be perfectly happy with just getting the security patches and whatever feature is there if they keep working.
1. what are some good custom ROMs popular these days?
2. What are the things I'd lose moving to custom ROM?
3. Does all hardware for ex: Finger print, NFC work?
4. What about google apps, I mostly like all google app like camera, google pay, phone, play store
5. I like the google specific features like call screening and google assistance, google feed. I guess I will lose those.
6. I also use google Fi, can I still use that seamlessly or is there any gotchas I need to be aware of?
7. Is there any other way to keep my phone Googlized and receive security updates. It is totally acceptable if I can get security patches after some delay and not via OTP but have to sideload manually.

1. LineageOS
2. I have not found anything lost.
3. Yes
4. You can download the Google Camera app from the play store. Probably the phone app also, but I have not tried it. Google Pay will require rooting and Universal SafetyNet Fix module.
5. Don't know, as I don't use them.
6. I don't use Fi, but would expect it to work.
7. I'm not aware of any other way, but have not looked. Lineage does everything I need.
