Hey guys, this is my first phone with amoled screen so my oneplus 8T screen is a little bit yellow with all profile set to cold.. Compared to my old xiaomi note 5 pro! It's YELLOW. Is my unit defective?
Is night mode ie blue filter running?
Not it's not, night mode off / blue light filter off / battery saver off.
Settings is all the way to cold

Do/did you have a ebook reader loaded?
I've seen the google one will screw up these settings until you disable them in the reader.
If you uninstall it before switching them back, they'll stay like that! Had to reinstall that app just to fix the changes it made.
Could be another 3rd party app doing it as well.
Try safe mode if ok there it's almost certainly a 3rd party app responsible.
Clear the system cache on the boot menu; can't hurt, may help.

Just did a full reset, nothing is changed.. So am i the only one having this issue? I've had read the review on gsm arena for the oneplus 8t, he said the screen tend to have "cooler whites" i highly doubt that.. Can you double check your phone please??
My screen brightness jumps from white to yellow/darker color not sure if that's similar issue to you but I still haven't figured my issue out
Mine switches from white to yellow also. No idea why. It does it no matter what I switch up in settings.
It's not bad enough to warrant a defective unit but kinda sucks.

Yeah I have that issue trying to find a way to replicate it
Try going to google home page then go-to oneplus website you will see a quick transition in color change from white to a tint of yellow.
This is the link I used to oneplus website
disable "dynamic color gamut" in Chrome.
chrome://flags and search dynamic color gamut.
Check if your display setting is in natural mode in display>advanced>screen calibration
If it is then change it to advanced> amoled wide gamut

I find a strange ring on the gray background, such as the background of the notification interface.
The ring can only be seen in dark circumstance and it won't appear on the backgound in any other color. I've run some screen test software to ensure this strange problem.
Is there anyone else found this problem? How does it comes?
You can see the ring in the pic. I turned the light off when took the pic

Is it possibly burn in? Many amoled screen owners have burn in, including me and hundreds of other nexus one owners. Is there something circular that stays in that location on your screen all the time?
It could be the wallpaper?
Yes if your wall paper has a circle in that location, that guaranteed that's it. These amoled screens do not like static images in one location, burn in is very common.

I'm sure that it is not cause by burn in, becasue I only use the nexus default live wall paper and none of my apps have a circle in that place.
Like I said, the most strange thing is I can't see this circle in any other background except the gray one.

I have the very same ring here, also only visible in dark environments. Looks like they are using vacuum cups to handle the display glass ...

ja, I also guess that is caused by the way of handle the screen.
BTW, your Nexus S is i9020 or i9023? It seems that the Nexus S sold in Germany is i9023.
If your device is i9023, than it will prove that the problem can be found in both Super Clear LED and Super AMOLED (my device is Super AMOLED).
I have that to.
But I only see it in the notification bar. I think its suppose to be there....

It's a i9020 imported from UK.
Did you ever figure this out? I have the exact same problem, my ring is the same size, but a different location
so how do we get rid of it???

SAVE BATTERY by turning off some AMOLED screen pixels!

Some AMOLED screen powered devices are able to "turn off" those pixels which are showing black colour. This app will let you to turn off some pixels in order to save your appreciate battery by showing very small black points.
As newer devices comes with very high density screens those points will be insignificant to the user´s sight and will be offset by lower spending battery

Very nice, but does the black pixel pattern change over a set period of time? Will be a nice and must-have feature.

yes, as long as it has an AMOLED screen. Which almost all Samsung devices have
One critical drawback with all the amoled pixel-off apps is that photos in Gallery have micro burst of flickers even when left alone to view, happens on some other apps too. It is so bad that flicker actually hurt my eyes and very irritating to look at.
I noticed this on both i9300 and N910U.
This happens with your app too, using it atm.
Feedback please dev.

Yes, thanks for the feedback. I am currently aware of this, but there seem to not be an easy solution for this as it depends on the hardware config.
However, you could try changing the mesh level (3 different levels available in free version) and see if the problem is still there. Also, you can check the 'Display Notification' option in order to have quick access to mesh toggle
Hope this helps
great app. Thanks!
Can we turning our Qhd screens to 1080p or 720p...?
Thanks very much for this great app.
Has anyone noticed real life battery improvements using this app?
Guys, I have problem with the Instagram app. When Iam watching stories on main (small) display, everything is fine. But when I unfold the phone and watch the stories on big screen, I always see (at the top) the Quick reactions menu, which is annoying. To remove, I always need to click to the "Send message" area at the bottom, hide keyboard which pops-up and use the back gesture – after that Quick reactions disappears for a while (until I launch IG app again). Anyone has the same behavior of the IG app?

Have the same issue
Same here
Have the same issue in 16:9 aspect ratio... Used multistar to go to full screen and it works fine using that layout (default)...
thanks for the tip with the Multistar app, but when you switch to "fullscreen", stories looks quite ugly (they are cut by the sides), and this screen aspect ration isn't also good for posting new stories. Hope Instagram will fix this bug soon.
I have the same issue too, I would prefer fullscreen using multistar, however that means that some text can be cut out in stories, as Instagram still doesn't want to use auto-fit with their app
Tried to download older version of Instagram app (this one from October) and it works great with the Quick reactions on foldable screen

Thanks get the armv8 one. Works great I have it set in Goodlocks to 16:9 it's a good compromise. Sure some stuff gets cut off on the ultra tall stories but not that much. Set it to not auto update so it doesn't change versions.
Change resolution to default and it will fix that

yes but default fills the entire screen and cuts off people's stories and posts that use tall screen ratios like the new iphones
Hi, my best friend had a similar problem. She is a social media manager so, this was a problem for her. She reached out to multiple gsm points. Unfortunately, none of them could solve the problem. After some time, she contacted megafamous.com. They gave her some suggestions on how she might fix the problem. After a couple of days, she already told me it worked out well. Not sure what she exactly did though. However, you may try to get in contact with megafamous.com and see what they can offer you.
Hi, Few months ago i was faced same issue on instagram thanks to muymorefollowers's team they give me a solution to get rid this issue live chat with buymorefollowers.uk and get solution right-away. thanks
Hi guys new to Samsung after many years aways (my last true Samsung usage was a Galaxy S2. I bought a s20 plus but didn't get on with it at all)
I have a snapdragon s22 ultra and am getting used to the ai hdr applied to photos. Obviously very different to Huawei (who I feel still have the upper hand) but I've picked up some issues of reflections and highlights being cast blue or purple and it's very unfortunate.
Anyone else seen this? I think Samsung have some work to do, in the same vein as the sports mode or shutter priority mode to avoid blurry photos of our kids or pets.

Thank you have tried but doesn't fix it. I think the ai is misreading scenes and applying the effect to reflections and brighter white colours
you could try using pro mode, i know it doesnt fix the problem at its core but would help you take better pictures

Appreciate the assistance. My only gripe with Pro mode is upping shutter speed alone still leaves you with shoddy looking but less blurry images in lower light situations. The huaweis show just how much images are fixed in post using ai - their Pro mode on the mate 40 Pro produces barely usable images as the chromatic aberration and noise just goes mad
do you know your way around android, you could try extracting or finding a huawei camera apk, signing it, and try to install it on your device, may not work, but it may also with some manipulation, wont do any harm to try

Yeah I'm into tech but not that inclined. I'm just hoping Samsung makes some changes to benefit all
I get this type of image with nightmode on ultrawide lens, check the red patch around the yellow night bulb,i think there scene optimiser is not working properly in some instances, when I use pro mode or extra raw app this doesn't show even with dialling same settings as nightmode image
hello I would like to report a software bug of the pixel.
when we put the color profile in adaptive and we before the brightness of the screen to full on a solid color (notification panel, settings) we can notice a line that is displayed along the entire length of the screen
this is indeed software bug because i currently have pixel 7 pro and i proceed this bug on both.

This is also happening to my pixel 7 pro.
It is more visible with brightness set to max and only occurs on grey backgrounds like notifications panel or chrome tab manager when dark mode is enabled.
The line is wider at 1080p and thinner at native resolution. Changing colour display from adaptative to natural also changes the line appearance (from grey to dark blue) but it is always present.
Sometimes it disappears on its own after a short time. Touching the screen may also cause it to disappear or reappear.
I´m not sure if this is a software or hardware issue.
Anyone else facing this problem?
while i have a pixel 6a .. this happened (since) last week here as well. not sure how these two devices are comparable in that regard.
for me the line can be "forced" to show up more visibly when "pressing" some specific area in the lower part of the display (just like a usual display-touch, but using more force), and can be made almost invisible when "pressing" (with force as well) the outer case pf the phone (from all sides). either way, it’s seems to be a hardware problem for me. google support agreed (!) and right now the local repair shop (acting on google’s behalf) ordered a new display for me and will install it next week. the guys at the shop already told me they’ve seen a few of these cases BUT always after the phone fell down on hard ground or something (which wasn’t the case for me).
I think it is more of a manufacturing flaw/design/anomaly??? Not so much a bug or something to really worry about because it only appears under certain extreme conditions such as MAX screen brightness with dark mode on certain colors. Meh...
