Global android 11 update 2.81GB (not .eu) - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hello, as we know Xiaomi pulled the last update that was 3.0GB, the stable beta. I found another update that is not marked as beta, and weighs 2.81GB. I hope it is a different one, even if the version is always 12.2.1. Has anyone installed this 2.81GB update? Do you advice its installation or should I wait? Can you tell me if it has bugs and which bugs are there? Thanks a lot.

I haven't received it tet

Updated through phone.. no issues ...took 40 min including download...all good as before

[Q] Updating to Lollipop

Hey guys
My friend just bought a new Huawei Mate 7 Gold yesterday and I checked the Android version and it says 4.4.2 Kit-Kat. He'd like to update it to Lollipop and since I have been doing such things for years on Samsung and HTC devices I thought I should help him out by checking the forum first. I found a helpful article about updating it to Lollipop OTA, however it is in German and the translation is terrible, so can anyone point me in the right direction?
As I said, the device is brand new and still has 4.4.2 unmodified Kit-Kat on it.
This is the article I am talking about: http://www.huaweiblog.de/huawei/huawei-mate-7-lollipop-update-download/
Thanks guys!
There's a thread dedicated to this in the general section
Thanks for you reply and for pointing me out to the right thread. From what I've read, it seems as though the Lollipop update is quite unstable nowadays and I should hold off till it's official, correct? I don't want my friend to go through a hassle because of it since he is not very tech-savvy.

I have installed lollipop 5.1.1 beta and its quite good but there's still many bugs. Maybe it is better to wait the official release.
I agree. If your friend is not tech savvy, hold first and wait for official release
It's usable as a daily driver, but no, not as stable as 4.4.2.
Generic overview:
-random reboots, not extremely frequent but they happen.
-some memory issues compared to 4.4.2
-a bit less battery
-some options not present
Hi, someone knows when will be release the official version of lollipop? No betas

Nope, and tbh i'm not extremely eager to run lollipop on most phones right now... Google screwed up pretty bad on this major version.

I second that. While material design is nice to look at, the memory leak and battery drain are causing issues in some lollipop phones

New Mate 8 not seeing updates?

Hi guys,
Just got my mate 8 a few days ago, it had a software update available to NXT-L29C432B180, but not the update to EMUI 4.1. When I check for updates it says it's up to date. Is there a reason for this?
EDIT: Alright, did some more reading, is it correct that the update to B3xx is more of a beta than a stable release?
yep, that seems to be correct. although B361 for the AL10 miiiiiight be the stable release weve been waiting for... no word on its availability as an OTA yet though. and nothing new on the L29 front....

The latest official update from Xiaomi

Here is the link of the latest stable update: http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.2.1.0.MHQCNEK/miui_HMPro_V9.2.1.0.MHQCNEK_ab358886ad_6.0.zip
I just installed this update and haven't run into any bugs yet. I will report when/if I find any.
Edit: As expected this update required a reinstall of the Play Store. When trying to log on to my Google account it got stuck on "getting information" which told me I needed a reinstall. After I did so everything went great!
EU stable also available , multi-lang and Gapps pre installed

How is the battery backup on eu rom?
I always feel is bad on eu rom
Hi. How's the cpu threshold in 9.2.1.0? Am running MIUI9 7.12.28 and it's pegged at 45c. MIUI8 had a higher tolerance at 48c. It was a mistake to switch to MIUI9 for Modern Combat 5 pvp.
How about if rooted?
I dont know if this is the right place to ask but will i lost root if i update? If ever i lost root can it be rooted again using the same process? Will the bootloader be affected also (TWRP)? Thanks if ever someone will reply.

Is Android 9 Pie worth it? Still on 8.1 Aug here

I've a TA-1055 in the UK and haven't had an update since the August security patch 8.1.
I know others have the Android 9 update but I'm still waiting for the OTA to arrive. There are some features I like in the latest version but there are plenty of posts on here about problems and how to rollback to 8.1.
Like with every version if updates go smoothly and all working fine then yes updating is always recommended but Pie still seems buggy over all.
Is it worth upgrading yet?

Don't know if it is worth upgrading. I am also in UK on TA-1055 Oreo 8.1 but Oct security patch which came OTA. Still no sign of OTA update to 9 and HMD support is useless regarding info about UK versions getting it. They keep saying it takes time to roll out.

No real issues on mine, very happy with Pie.
But as this forum shows, YMMV.
No issues whatsoever on Pie, here. The only problem I have with the phone right now is that the brightness doesn't go below 16%, which isn't related to the Pie update, according to reddit.

I have an issue with camera... When taking a photo and trying to view it from within the app... the camera app just stop responding...
I did not have this issue on Oreo.
T-1046 Running pie with Nov update...

not have this problem with 3.39b on ta-1046
Not worth it if you like being a maybe semi newbie super user with this, because after it you'll become an iSheep.
As with any new phone I always disable most of the stock Google apps from the start. Just thought I'd re-enable the main Google app and reboot into safe mode.
Bosh! Now I get the update notification for Android 9 and ran the install plus received all the latest security updates.
Main instant issue on Pie is the search bar that cannot be removed without using a new launcher or rooting..Bugger
OTA Pie arrived on my UK TA-1055
Just to note that I got the OTA Pie update here in the UK on a TA-1055 last night. I was on 8.1.0 August before that.
It came through with the November security update, the December update came through straight after.
All seems to be working fine with no factory reset or out like that.
No issues with mine, but nothing to write home about either. Android 9.0 is meh in general. Don't stress so much about it.
I upgraded from Oreo w/ Oct SP to Pie w/ Dec SP. Is it worth the upgrade? I'll let the Pie battery stats speak for itself ? (n.b. I fully wiped /data by factory reset from recovery then restored from Google cloud backup).

Can't recieve latest OTA update

I cant receive the most recent update with version 10.2.1
I am stuck with 10.0 version ..
whenever I try to check for new updates .. it tells me I am having the most recent version.
Does anybody know how to solve this ?
I'm also having this issue, new MIX 3 received today, currently on 10.0.11.0, checking for updates just says no updates found
I'm not sure, but I believe it has been pulled. There's only the 10.0.11.0 zip file on the miui download site.
Looks like it's been pulled, tried to install zip from https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-mix-3/how-to/10-2-1-0-global-update-available-t3893229 and got told it was a Beta package and I wasn't signed in with a MiUI beta account
Yeah, same here. Just got my MIX today and it's stuck on this version.
I got my Mi Mix 3 two weeks ago and got the update to 10.2.1 via Ota. Why they took it from the server, I do not know. Maybe a new stable version will come soon.
I also received by OTA MIUI 10.2.1.0(PEEMIXM). Download was cutted several times but at the end it went through and my phone was upgraded. For the ones that do not saw the OTA, are you in global version or chinese?

I have the global version. Did you receive the ota today?
I got my global version last week and no OTA. Tried downloading that full package that's been posted and it just gives an error about being a beta build.

I have received it on February 14th. Could you receive it? I have seen in the forums that the upgrade was suspended probably due to bugs; but I have not hit any major bug so far.

I actually received the OTA today, as it started rolling out again. Seems good so far.
