Full screen for Poco X3 and Chrome browser - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

As video on youtube or games, can I set full screen for chrome browser?
I set full screen on settings for chrome but if I want to read a page , for example without address bar, I can't read full screen.
Any tips?
Regards
POCO X3

As I understand it has nothing to do with the device it self. Therefore I think you should should try to find an advice on a Chrome related forum. You'd probably have more luck there. From my own experience there used to be a flag for it in "chrome:/flags" but it got removed as did many other useful features like having search bar at the bottom. I mainly use Opera now and it has the feature you're looking for enabled by default. Worth a try I'd say

[Q] Why Google's UI looks different in default browser and in Opera or Firefox?

I noticed that Google has two different mobile versions of his pages. One for his default Android browser and one for the others. And the one for the others is much simpler. It's most noticeable when you try to display iGoogle. In the default browser you get fancy user interface with many features and widgets whereas in Opera Mobile 11, you get really simple HTML page with practically no settings. I set Opera to use the user agent of the default browser and suddenly I got the better mobile version too. And naturally with all functionality.
So I ask.. why Google does that? He thinks, that other browsers can't handle advanced features of his pages? Or is he simply trying to put off people from using alternative browsers? Or is there an official way turn on this better version? Because changing the user agent seems to break some other pages and even the Google search, although it looks much better and more modern, is for some reason displayed extremely wide.
I couldn't find anything about this weird behavior but maybe I just used the wrong keywords
Bump. I have wondered this too, and it forces me to use dolphin (which is essentially the default browser spiced up a bit). I like the google homepage with the default android browser because it uses my location. Withe firefox, its as if Im on a computer and is less helpful. Anyone have a solution/workaround?
Well, as I wrote before, I changed the user agent of Opera to the user agent of stock browser/Dolphin so basically Opera pretended to be stock browser and I really got the nice modern Google Homepage, including my location. However the layout was a little bit messed up, the viewport was strangely wide, so it was kind of useless. But I guess it's a problem of Opera. You could try it too in Firefox, but I don't know whether it is possible to change your user agent in mobile Firefox, maybe there is an addon for it?
Easiest way to get the stock browser user agent is to open stock browser, use Google to search "what is my user agent", go to first link and select and copy the text it displays. You can just past it then wherever you want to.
Btw. I tried Dolphin HD and I almost switched because I really liked the UI (Opera is a little bit old school I would say) but when it came to rendering real full webpages, Opera was way way faster than Dolphin. At least on my Nexus S.
I really like the Opera mobile also with the Google search from the stock android browser using the user agent. I really wish there wasn't so wide like others here have posted. Hopefully someone or Opera will come up with a fix.
The instructions found in the below post has seemed to fix all of the rendering issues I had with Opera Mobile.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009719
I really wish that opera would fix the problem of Google search being to wide. I really like the opera browser but it is annoying when searching to have to scroll to the right in order the click the search button sometimes.

Opera Mobile and Chrome bad experience

Opera Mobile the address bar and search bar are very tiny and so are the fonts on all web pages are small also. I know I can zoom but I do not think I should have to do that. It is probably due to the Infinite's screen resolution but if this is the case why is it not like that across all browsers? I find Chrome to be very slow loading web pages, particularly the xda forums. The reason I still use Opera is because I can still use flash. I should say that I have only had the Infinity for 2 days but I have already unlocked the bootloader, rooted it, and installed TWRP recovery. I am still on version. 28 but only because I want to install nvflash and I still have not figured out how to do it and ADB installation is giving me a hard time. Anyone know of a more automatic (simple is good) way of installing it? Can anyone help me with these?

[Q]What's the limitations of flash on Chrome for Android? can it play YouTube desktop

Hi,
I'm reading everywhere that Chrome for Android explicitly does not support Adobe flash. I need some clarification on what exactly this means? Please spare me the speal about how Adobe isn't supporting it anymore bla bla bla, I know this already.
What i would like to know is... is HTML5 supported now? The reason i ask this is cause I've been trying to make patches and fixes for this (mainly for my self) and i have managed to get the latest chrome to play embedded YouTube clips in the chrome browser and will seamless play and let me zoom in on full desktop mode of a website. I.E if I visit the xda main page i can view the content of the xda TV side bar in full desktop mode.
Is this because of HTML5 support or is this because one of my fixes has worked?
I don't want to make an arse of my self posting up a thread saying I've fixed it when this is native support and nothing new lol. Also i don't want to uninstall and start clean because if it's not normal and what i have done has worked.... cause I'm not sure which thing actually is the resolution? I've taken a back up and I can wipe and then just come back again but with the new SGS3 it takes a stupidly long amount of time to do a restoration. I've done work in system and in data partitions also so advanced restore is out of the question... plus it's likely easier for someone to post a simple reply "no you're a dip **** James YouTube was always capable of playing on chrome" or "heck dude you're on to something hurry up and find an answer and post your work up here"
I'm hoping it's the latter.
Ps. I thought I might also want to add here that I do not have Adobe flash player installed on my phone. Hence why I am specifically asking about HTML5 support? Yes I've used components of the plugins them selves but that may or may not be the reason for being able to view this content.
Pps. On previous versions of my hacked chrome i got a message on *some* websites that the plugin is detected but out of date. I don't get the standard message "Google Chrome does not support this plugin" like most users get. This is some sites only
What, no one?
Sooo many people are quick to jump down peoples necks about this subject sounding like experts roasting n00bs to use the search button, I've searched every single thread and my question has not been asked... so does this mean I'm on to something?
Can someone who has chrome who doesn't have Adobe flash apk installed (back it up and uninstall) and visit the xdadevelopers front page and see if YouTube works?
Screw it... no one is helpful here, I'll uninstall all my stuff and test my self.

Not sure exactly what you are wanting tested, but here goes. I'm running an LG 4X HD without the Flash .apk installed. If I go to the XDA main page I can then click on the "XDA TV Most Recent Video" and it goes to full-screen and plays, but that seems to be the YouTube player intself.
Have a look at this page - http://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html - it works just fine as HTML5 within Chrome on my LG
Also worth looking at the HTML5Test site. Scroed out of 500, my laptop with Chrome scores 448 + 13 bonus points, my phone with Chrome score 390 + 11 bonus points, Dolphin on my phone scores 287 + 3 bonus points and IE10 running on Windows 8 on my laptop scores 320 + 6 bonus points. This site is the ideal test platform as it gives you a precise breakdown on exactly what the points are scored on and where the fails are, so if you are trying to do your own development work you can see almost instantly what effect the changes you make have had.
Thanks. That's exactly what i wanted. But that is what i also did last night. It did say on the chrome web site that it would be supporting HTML5 in the future.
I had been working on a flash solution on the previous versions on chrome up until now. Then to see that YouTube was working correctly (along with several forum posts stating that chrome doesn't support flash) that it would be difficult for me to wipe what i had been working on just to see if this was a standard feature or not? I ended up not getting a response and did it anyway.
That being said i have got very close with Chrome loading the plugin for flash and executing the flash video, so I'll revert everything back now and keep working on it.
Ps. No the YouTube clip doesn't play in full screen, it plays an embedded clip on the site in desktop mode (sorry about the confusion there) and yes i know this is a standard feature of HTML5 now that I've investigated further.

Native Browser

Hi,
Anybody experience same problem like me where my browser suddenly stop working/hang while loading certain webpage. To bypass the problem, I need to go to menu and press quit.
If you know a fix, appreciate if you could let me know.
Jason
Use chrome browser instead, I never use stock browser on any phone...
I think it is just a result of heavy cpu load.
I use UC browser it has by the far the smothest scroll and zoom on mate 7.

Which Android Tabbed Browser?

I'm looking for a new browser but cannot find anything I can get along with
I have used Dolphin for years but have had enough of the Speed Dial screen on any new tabs and having to press the home shortcut to get to my homepage
What I am looking for is a tabbed browser, like Dolphin, that automatically defaults to the homepage saved. I do not want to be looking at dashboards and speed dials that developers seem to think we want. I want it to load my homepage not anything else, just my homepage
I have tried several browsers over the last few days and nothing that I have found can be set how I want to use it. The closest I have found is Naked Browser but this still doesn't default to my saved homepage. I have emailed the developer and also commented on their thread on here but no reply as of starting this thread
Any recommendations on a browser that would meet my requirements?
So you're saying that you want to see a specific page when opening a new tab? I think browsers like chrome, have the option to change default homepage to any page you wanted.

New tab defaulting to homepage works fine on Chrome but Chrome does not have proper tabbed browsing like Dolphin or Naked Browser
