Does anyone know which WiFi module/chip the Pixel 4a uses and where it is located on the PCB? It's not obvious to me in the teardowns online.
Thanks

Did HTC U11 have camera ai chip like google pixel 2?
no
and it is not really that big
yet the pixel 2's chip is not activated yet
we are yet to see wether it's worth it
Same CPU like pixel 2 have u11. I'm thinking it's software business
For U11 the answer is no. We will need to wait for someone who disassemble U11+ bcoz it was indeed the original Pixel 2 XL and may contain the Google Camera ISP chip hidden in it so we might have chance to port the google software for it.
Hi there, I've upgraded to the pixel 3a from my old Nexus 5 and am really missing the face unlock feature. Would there be anyway of adding it to the pixel 3a? Any help would be appreciated
there is a module that works for it.

I was wondering which one should buy Pixel 3a or 3. Does 3A have dead pixel issues like Pixel 3 has?
3a here. Display is perfect.
YMMV.
Agreed. I've never heard of complaints on the 3a or 3a XL series screens.
All displays might have dead pixels. They're not limited to certain devices.
I wanted to access the raw capacitive data on the pixel 3a phone. I found a link to someone who was able to do it on a Nexus 5 phone using a kernel they developed. I am unable to post the link as I am a new user, but the details can be found if you google "Accessing the Raw Data of Capacitive Touchscreens on Commodity Smartphones"
But I wanted to know if there was a way to obtain the raw capacitive data for a Pixel 3a phone using the Nexus 5 kernel? or is there some other way to do this on a Pixel 3a phone?
Thanks
I like to use phones with LineageOS without Gapps because I don't want Google to have even more data from me.
Ironically the Google Pixel 4a seems to be my best option for a new phone regarding my other specifications (small, good camera, not too expensive) and there is a LineageOS custom rom for it that should work without Gapps.
But I'm worried about data security because Google is the manufacturer...
Any advice on that?
I think you'll be fine. The software is key component. Any hardware based spying won't be limited to the Pixel 4A because they don't use any custom hardware.
I too arrived at the 4a for all the same reasons as you. It is a nice compact phone and of high quality.
