Hi Devs, i am new here and wants to know if it is possible to use google pay on custom roms on surya NFC?
Depends on the rom but generally, yes, you can.
I have tried 4 custom roms for the device and have gotten Google Pay working on all of them.
Sometimes it can take a little bit of effort but if you ask in the thread for the rom you choose to flash, someone will generally be able to help you.

no custom rom available? sucks
However, what makes KangVIP.
sucks
+1 on sucks :/
Hope soon some good devs will make us happy. The stock UI often gets crappy and slow, needs reboot.
Hello Guys,
I'm also very dissapointed about the availability of custom roms.
I'm not a rom developer but I have some programming skills (websites etc) maybe we can do something with other members to bake or own custom ROM instead of waiting for a developer with a Mate 7.
Who like my idea? Just want to check it.

Do not question. As it is difficult to implement. Is little information on the structure. The Chinese forums can it not look at the cards. Have the contact already tried, unfortunately no answer.
Hi,
with due regards to all the hard work this forum members have put in creating and maintaining ROMs, one question popped up :
can we trust them?
would it be possible for someone building a custom ROM to place a script on the installation zip that transmits user data or credentials to the ROM maker? Who checks the authenticity of the ROM? Is there a check done before someone is allowed to release their ROM?
asking these, coz most of my banking and financial apps would be installed on android phone flashed with a custom rom.
please guide.
That's a good question. And the simple answer is that if you want to use the rom you'll have to trust them. There is no formal review process. This forum is self policed. However, there are a lot of smart and honest people here and if someone finds something funny going on in the rom it will be reported in the rom thread. That's not good advertising for the rom developer(s). In my years on XDA I've only seen that once, maybe twice.
Now that the bootloader can be unlocked, and full rooting is on its way with fully supported TWRP, it will be possible to have a large choice of ROMs.
What do people think will be the best for this -tablet-, er, phone?
Resurrection Remix 5.8 Rom
Thor Galaxy S7 Style Rom
Even as it is the device is very well built and with only rooting I am sure we could do a lot of customisations.
KANGVIP pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Hi Everyone!
I must have stated this many times before in different threads but let me repeat. Whilst the ZF3U is a very capable and really useful device, the developer community has abandoned any work on this device. Root is available, kernel unlock is available but no attention from developers. I really cannot understand this. Even the Sony Xperia Z Ultra with its lack of features such as a basic flash and dual sim got more roms and customizations than our ZF3Us. ZF3U definitely deserves more attention, in fact it deserves more attention than the Note Series due to its size and base features. I have been wishing for a proper Paranoid Android style rom for a long time but there is not even one credible rom for this device. Very disappointed on this aspect of the device.
CAUTION! In my opinion, and as many have learned the hard way, I would strongly advise that you do not unlock the bootloader and/or root unless you really are prepared for risks. Until decent support becomes available use the device in its original factory state. I am currently on my 2nd ZF3U and have no trouble at all. I even, suspect that the current root method and TWRP may even be corrupt that some users are having these issues. My 1st one died after so many software issues and then root related issues so be cautious is my advice.
@AWFRONT, Thanks for sharing.
There are just no dedicated 'developers' for most of the phones in the market on custom ROMs. All the them are users and volunteers like us. You can always step up as a developer.

I agree but think that Samsung phones seem to be getting the most attention than ASUS and Huawei. As someone who has been following the developments on Custom Roms, I think since the move by most OEMs to bring their UX on their devices closer to stock Android, most developers do not think it is worth any attention apart from Root and may be Xposed mods etc… .
IbwishvI could step up as a developer but, lets say the preessures of life make me stay for the time being as an enthusiastic user but you never know.
Hello, im wondering to know if there's any Kernel Developer who can help me with my phone.
Due my job i need to use some external wifi adapters, wich the model is compatible with my phone, according the kernel documentation.
I know how to cross compile Kernels but i dont know much about C programing language. So there are some threads that are developing some custom roms and kernels for my model, but none of the devs wants to help me for whatever reason.
I also as before offered a donation to whoever help me with this i will keep offering. I hope i can get someone soon to help me.
My phone is a J5 PRIME (SM-G570M) android 7 stock non rooted.
I know i have to root and maybe to use a custom rom to make it work but first i would like to get help with my problem.
Whoever interested my phone is +5521990337574 im available 24h, so we xan discuss about how much you want me to donate for the project.
Thank you in advance.

Are you willing to buy another device like yours and donate it to whoever you hire to build the ROM?
If the answer is no, then you are wasting your time asking for volunteers.
In order to develop a proper ROM for a certain device, the developer must have the device on hand to test the ROM during the building process to see if it actually works, without the device, they have no way to test their work. If someone with the skill to build a ROM had a device like yours, they would have already built ROMs for the device.
You would be better off to try learning how to build a ROM for yourself, you'll probably get a ROM faster that way.

I am trying to start a new company which requires building a custom ROM for an Android device. Yes I am funding the project and providing the developer with everything they will need. I have no skills in this field so that is why I am here to find someone to give them an opportunity to build a business with me.

Starting a company that involves building a custom ROM is not a wise decision. Relatively speaking, the numbers of people that use custom ROMs is very small compared to those that don't use custom ROMs, on top of that, custom ROMs only work on the specific model number that they were built for, this means that the numbers of people that would use "this" or "that" custom ROM is even smaller. In other words, the market for custom ROMs is not sizable enough to make your idea a worthy endeavor.
