I am using this app on my rooted charge and I just purchased the paid version. I am curious why I have to go into this app and reset the headphone amplifier to the =5db every time the phone restarts. From the screen shots for the paid version in the app store it looked like I could have it force on at bootup but maybe I am crazy? Is anyone else having this issue with voodoo control for the sound volume? So basically as I see it the paid version gives you a headset bass boost and thats pretty much it. Am I missing something?
This probably doesn't answer your question (total guess), but if you hit the menu button while in VooDoo Control Plus, you can select "kernal module options". In that menu you can select "Load sound driver" and "Load driver at boot". I haven't tried these settings because I have no idea what they do and don't want to screw anything up. I got the app because I wanted to increase the headphone volume and am overwhelmed by the app. I don't know what pretty much all of the settings do and I can't find any tutorials or help menus anywhere!
Just got Pie on my pixel 2 xl. Since Bluetooth Volume control is horrible on pixel devices (i.e. Volume level 3 too quiet, level 4 too loud, annoying) I was pumped to find the "Disable Absolute Volume" developer option in 8. In Android 8 that option would allow for more precise control of Bluetooth volume since it separated Android and bluetooth device volumes. Well, in Android P that option is still there but DOES NOTHING. Changing the volume on the BT headphones also changes it on the Pixel. I have tried all the usual tricks like removing all paired devices, rebooting, etc. Argh. Anyone know a trick to get this working again? If not, does anyone know of an app that can achieve this without ROOT? (I use Anroid Pay a ton and don't want to root and lose that).
Got the same issue on xl2. I was told that it works, but the behavior changed. It is now intended to disable or enable individual volumes for each connected device, as opposed to separating the headset volume rocker from the phone's volume setting. Sucks on many levels, not much can be done about it.
Thanks for the response, but NO WAY

Thanks for the reply, but I can't see how what you are saying is accurate. 1st, the saving of individual bluetooth volumes has been widely reported as a new feature in Pie, and I can't find anywhere that states that the feature has to be turned on or off in Developer Options.
Even IF what you are saying is true, there is no way they would bury a toggle for saving bluetooth volumes in the Dev Options, AND hijack a feature named "Disable Absolute Volume" to control it. That does not make any sense.
"Absolute Volume" is the "feature" that ties changes to the volume on a bluetooth device directly to the phone (or tablet) volume. They wouldn't dig into the code of the "Disable Absolute Volume" and totally change its' function but not change the name.
Okay, first, the use of all caps is unnecessary. Second, it’s not a matter of what I’m saying as true or not true, as I stated in my post, I was told, plain and simple. I’m equally frustrated about the button not working, it’s messing with the audio quality for sure. Good luck finding answers.

Don't want to get into a flame war here, and I really do appreciate the response. I only all-caps'd 2 words for emphasis. I stand by my thoughts above. I would have to guess that whoever told you was mistaken, since it really makes no sense.
Agreed, and yes, it does suck because the volume is a mess. Hopefully google fixes it soon. cheers.

Same here, I've opened an issue on Google Issue Tracker, maybe star it

I just stared it and added a comment. Thanks for putting it out there. I Didn't know about the issue tracker.
EDIT: Solved be enabling "disable absolute volume" in developer options.
I tested whether I'm not just deaf with my previous phone and it turns out that said phone gives almost a deafening sound through my earphones when the volume is set to max.
On my ZenFone 6 however, I need to set the volume to the max in order to get a proper volume. Apps I've experiencing this issue with are iBroadcast, Podcast Republic and YouTube (vanced).
Especially on podcast republic. Even when the volume is at its max, it barely gives enough sound.
I can't find any sound settings that could solve this issue.
To clarify I'm referring to the sound going through my earphones. My phone is not rooted, nor is the bootloader unlocked.
Hope someone could shed some light on this.
Hello!
I've noticed lately that my basic 2 earphones' volume is really low. Before I usually had them at around 70% volume because anything more was too loud. Now I have them on 100% and it's like they are playing on half the volume. My phone is Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G
There have been no recent changes to my device nor it's settings, haven't updated either so it's the same operating system as before (Android version: 11 RKQ1.200836.002) (MIUI Global 12.5.4 Stable)
I also want to mention that my device is unlocked and rooted using this exact guide : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tom-rom-working-on-xiaomi-mi-10t-pro.4246339/
Things I've tried so far:
Restarting my phone
Restarting the earphones
Hard reseting the earbuds
Reseting all the bluetooth connections on my phone
Changing my Region (I tried USA, India and Andorra. Didn't change anything)
Tried Disabling Absolute Audio (There was no such setting on my developer options)
Tried changing the Bluetooth Codec (As soon as I scrolled down a bit it was reseting to "System Default")
Volume Booster Apps (They make the sound terrible and still the volume is not as high as originally)
MIUI's Sound Optimization (Adjust sound to earphones made the sound slightly better but didn't change the volume at all)
I also thoroughly cleaned the earbuds (To make sure there wasn't anything physically blocking them) as well as my ears (To make sure I wasn't losing my hearing)
I really can't understand why or how this happened and I can't seem to find a working solution no matter what... I really need your help on this one!
I don't mind tinkering with my phone and it's settings so any solution and I mean ANY solution would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time !
I fixed my mi 10 5g low speaker volume issue, u should give it a try by calibration of speakers
In settings>about phone>all specs, click on kernal version 5 times or more to open cit settings
Here u can test speakers, but to re calibrate click on 3 dots menu and goto additional setting find "calibrate speaker PA"

It worked. In my case, I headed to Bluetooth and ran the CIT test. It disconnected and on reconnecting, voilà! It worked. Thanks man
I tried everything, nothing worked. Turned out that earphones turn up volume by long tapping on earphone touch area.
Had the same issue with my Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. Turned out, the buds have their own volume control (set to 50% by default), which must be assigned to double/triple taps via Xiaomi Earbuds app. By default, there was no way of controlling this "earphone-internal" volume. And the phone control operated within the 0%-50% range. Strange indeed.
I just got an lg velvet yesterday and it's been a complete regret. System UI not responding, process system not responding on first start up. But the one thing I cannot deal with is it doesn't make a single sound nothing. Wethher through the phone speaker, wired connection or Bluetooth there's nothing. No music no ringtones no notifications absolutely nothing at all. Volume is all the way up, not in silent mode, just acts like it is. I haven't seen 1 custom ROM for this phone either
