Does it have an Ambient Display?

Is signature spoofing supported on this rom ?

[EOL][ROM] [11] Project Sakura 5.1 [OFFICIAL] | VANILLA
does this rom have a working aod for samsung galaxy a40?
forum.xda-developers.com

Try to install... But still on "wrong vendor, need android 10 vendor" I'm on resurrection remix 7 pie GSI... How I can install this Rom? Please help me!

Hi guys,
I Flashed this ROM but i'm in stuck in a loop. Device boot, Project Sakura flashing logo, device reboot.
Flashed with TWRP. Wiped my System, Data, Cache and Dalvik.
Any tips?

Why is encryption not enabled? The system reboots but it does not start encrypting.
I charged the phone up to 100%. Always same issue. Manual command results in the same eg. via; Enter a root shell with adb root followed by adb shell and finally
vdc cryptfs enablecrypto wipe password 48656C6C6F
That command results in the phone rebooting. Without enryption, there is no point in installing this image. I changed also the name of one of the files; Disable_Dm-Verity_enfec_11.02.2020
What follows?
Without encryption this project will just die.

Great there's finally an official custom ROM. All GSIs I tried where terrible, so all my hope goes into Sakura!
I hope it will come to a stable final release.

The file is not needed "Disable_Dm-Verity_enfec_11.02.2020.zip".
Sakura can be installed without it. In fact, without using it, the system claims that encryption remains in place. But that is not true. While the security settings claim that security is active, a simple plugin via USB lets anybody get access to the files. This is a serious letdown. The files are there in plain sight with a simple USB Cable. Really. This is a serious problem.

As far I know, not all files are encrypted with File-Based Encryption tho. So maybe only the necessary ones are encrypted? How about trying accessing your contact data, your whatsapp data or sms ? and then we will get the confirmation that FBE is not working.

If not all files are encrypted, this project is useless. Pictures taken are not encrypted either. While, I set a password to unlock the screen, somehow I can just boot the phone in TWRP and all my files are there in plaintext. ALL. Nothing is encrypted.
I just reinstalled the ROM from Samsung. The encryption is working again. None of the files saved with the Samsung ROM for the A40 are in plain text.

Oh. I am not surprised tho. The rom's developers expressly said that they couldn't care less when I reported this problem a while ago. "just don't keep sensitive data on your phone" I've been told.

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and we are now based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out or the GZOSP team, if it concerns their code base. This ROM isn't GZOSP supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

Feature list (rough overview)
In the beginning we would like to thank:

We are paying for servers that build nightlies/weeklies and everything that comes with it, so EVERY DONATION will really be appreciated and be used to cover those expenses.
Thank you!!

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. NO
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP. Custom ROMs modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROMs. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Xposed is not yet released for Pie, however you can try to use edxposed .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterwards.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. I'm having issues with WhatsApp, how do I fix it?
A. Read this
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section in the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Pie. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
3. Wipe the System, Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM Zipfile.
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work).
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 17.2 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.

Please do provide logs.
Trying to obtain logs. I will attach them to this post.
Meanwhile, I have a few more bugs to report. The bootup process seems to take solid 10 minutes for second boot. I feel it's a bit unusual even for a slow device like the Mi4i
The hardware button lighting doesn't work
Cannot change wallpaper
Camera doesn't work
I did fresh installation and checked again. Dark theme works fine but enable navigation bar option breaks everything
Here's the log : https://justpaste.it/7pfch
Surely going to install today Thanx .
Thanks for this stable rom.
I've seen a tiny bug regarding rotation,
Primarily It doesn't work.
But In a specific situation, when I'm in the chrome video player and click on landscape mode. this happens successfully and rotation change to the landscape but when to return, this state keeps even in desktop.
And to revert this mode I should disable rotation.
it failed when installing with twrp
Rom crashes while using settings from aicp extra setting .
Working Solution (?) for Camera ?
Yes. As per my knowledge Android Pie 9.0 approaches a different camera API rather than its previous versions for its camera applications for various purposes like AI Camera, Manual Controls, etc.
Without finding a way to manual controls for Mi 4i camera hardware (!) this pie based AICP ROM is utter waste.
So developers please be aware & Find a different way !

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Legal questions about the state of this project:
rcstar6696, the original developer of this ROM have abandoned it for a while after the build 20200106 , and I (S-trace) built a new build of this ROM, and then I fixed an issue with WLAN Tethering offload on encrypted devices (rcstar6696 don't support the device encryption, but don't forbid the encryption completely), and then I got the invite from rcstar6696 to the xiaomi-sdm660 team to maintain the LineageOS for the clover (rcstar6696 supports several Xiaomi SDM660 devices, not only clover). Then I got the piracy attack from LR-user but rcstar6696 responded to this attack and confirmed me as the new LineageOS maintainer for clover because he simply not have the time to maintain 3 ROMs and transferred this project to me.
I'm too don't have much time to develop the LineageOS for clover, so I just merge the cr-8.0 branch to lineage-17.1 branch and build the ROM, install it to my clover tablet (LTE-4GB-8" model) and quickly test it, and (if no problems were detected) upload it and post it here and release the ROM as an OTA update. So, please also thank rcstar6696 for this ROM, because I don't develop it very much but just maintain it using rcstar6696 original development for cr-8.0 ROM.
Changes (full changelog):
May Security Patch
Switched to cr-8.0-eas common vendor tree
Android updated to 10.0.0_r35
Kernel updated to 4.4.223
Blobs updated to LA.UM.8.2.r1-06500-sdm660.0
Misc LineageOS fixes and updates
Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

done its 3.3.1
It looks really good.
I installed it dirty over LineageOS 16 on my MiPad 4 Plus LTE.
No FCs, youtube working, sound working, wlan and lte working.
Animations were a bit laggy in playstore when i started updating apps.
Now installing magisk - not booting yet.
Is there an option for rounded corners? Can't find it anywhere...

Reflashed it clean: everything important works but i can't use riru_edxposed. It stays at the MI-Bootlogo for so long, i didn't want to wait anymore.
Is this fully stable?
great work!
Hello,
the rom works perfectly and pretty stable so far.
Thanks for your time and work!
I just can't get Google Photos to sync, but I assume it's a gapps issue. Everything else is running fine.
Would you mind adding ethernet usb drivers to the kernel?
The device recognises the USB-to-ethernet adapter and shows a dummy0 interface instead of eth0 when running ifconfig.
There was ethernet support on the February Lineageos 16 build found on 4pda.
I'd be really happy to have that feature, but I'm already thankful for being able to run Android 10.
Hello!
Is it an official build?
Finally thanks @rcstar6696 will flash asap
EDIT: Had initially shutdown after Mi logo. Not sure if that was becuase I flashed Magisk 19.3 or because I didn't flashed disable_dm-verity_forceencrypt_10.20.2019

With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS) we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device specific repositories.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them out, if it concerns our code base. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
A. Information about Xposed, EdXposed or Riru Core can be obtained from the XPosed General forums .
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is the usual behaviour on flashing a new official build by (or using) the build-in updater service.
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android Q.
Google Playstore to work), GApps are already included for some a/b devices.
6. Reboot and set up your device, enable developer settings and in them OEM unlock/Advanced reboot/USB tethering.
7. Reboot back into TWRP recovery.
8. Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
9. Reboot your device.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on AvB Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.3 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.

Very nice ROM. Everything seems smooth and I like the inclusion of xiaomi parts especially for microphone and headphone gain. Time will tell for battery performance. Nice job and I very much appreciate your efforts.
Could you add a feature to hide IME bottom space?
Stable rom, looking out due battery performance.
New Update was out yesterday. People already on the rom should get the update by now.

ohh! flashing now
:: had to format data coming from global miui 11
:: VoLTE works right off the bat
:: first boot took a minute so be patient
oh my gatos! this rom is so smooth!
The only issue I've run into is that my work wifi (a 2.4/5ghz dual network with same name) won't connect. It tries and eventually just disables the wifi network. Both 2.4 and 5ghz connect on my networks at home (different names for each).
I've had this issue with pixel experience and havoc roms too. I'm thinking it may be a firmware issue? (Ps. I'm on the correct firmware for this ROM)
here's the log of me trying to connect to the dual band (same name for 2.4/5 ghz) wifi.
It keeps defaulting to disabled and it looks like there is some errors showing up in the logcat but the rest is beyond my knowledge

That did not seem to work.
It has to be device specific because I have a mipad 4 and a mi9tpro with dotos that both work flawlessly on the dual band wifi.

I'm actually using orange fox recovery now. I had used a twrp before that worked... I'll scour my computer for the files/links.

I flashed this rom ( dotos 5.0.1) , it is very smooth.
The battery has acceptable performance.
Is there a way to remove the white line from the bottom of the screen?
Thanks to Linn and Nicholas
My phone start overheating and reboot by it self after few weeks, Any solution for this issue ? I use mi mix 256gb china set
Hello. Sorry if the question is dumm, but, where can I find the info about what FW should I use? I´m in MIUI 8.0.7.0.0 Global (stock, with root and TWRP). Thanks
Awesome work devs. My mi mix is running very well with the ROM.
Some times it gets laggy. But I think it's due to the hardware. Does anyone had any tips for making the phone smoother?
I'm rooted, if this helps anyway.
Purchased yesterday my 3th Mi Mix and... testing this ROM thanks!

May I know where and how much it cost?
On the latest build with a clean flash and global Fw 11.0.2.1, vowifi does not seem to be working. It is enabled in both the settings and secret settings menus, as well as through my carrier. Even when turning airplane mode on and only activating wifi the phone app says "radio turned off"
Software Bug report: Long pressing home and selecting 'Wallpapers' results in an instant force close without dialog. Probably an incorrect activity name defined. Navigating via Settings > Display > Styles and wallpapers works happily though. Might just be a Pixel Launcher issue, thought I'd report on it anyway.
Hello! I loved this ROM! Everything works good. But the Always on says my device is unsupported... u know how to fix? Thanks!
Display brightness has a habit of dropping to frustratingly low values at the lock screen. Sometimes I've literally not been able to see anything at all; and had to attempt to adjust the slider blindly using muscle memory. If that wasn't successful; I was forced to hard reboot.
Lastly.. Recently, I put my phone on charge before going to bed - due to it being at 10%. I plugged in my cable and acknowledged the charging symbol as I did so, alongside the charging notification sound. When I woke in the morning. I disconnected the cable, turned my display on and my phone was at 10%... What??? The phone didn't charge the whole night, but was displaying the charging indicator. I reinserted the cable to see if it'd charge, and again it wouldn't despite showing the charging symbol. I couldn't actually get the phone to charge until I rebooted the device. Very bizarre.
I don't have Bluetooth unnecessarily enabled. Wireless was off, alongside mobile data. There wasn't anything enabled that could have explained any excessive power draw. The charger is the standard Xiaomi supplied charger, and the USB-C cable is in good known working order.
I'm really sorry; I wasn't able to produce a log due the rushed nature of my mornings (getting ready for work). Not to mention, it's a hard one to capture as it hasn't happened often enough.
This Rom is so nice and with finger licking good UX
BUT!! My phone is now super slow after installing it and the battery consumption has been bad. I used to be able to go more than one day on a full charge, now I'm down to about a half day on a full charge.
I wiped system, dalvik, cache and flashed the recommended firmware. Have I missed anything?
I would like to withdraw any of my old complaints about wifi issues.
I have since wiped/formatted and flashed the latest miui eu rom (miui 11 Android 8), then wiped dalvik/cache and data (I DID NOT wipe vendor or system) then flashed the latest dot os and then after flashing formatted the data partition.
So there must have been a corrupted partition because of me constantly flashing different roms.
Great work and sorry for any issues I've brought up before!!

Just a little buggy but overall very nice ROM!
I had some app crashes but unfortunately do not have logs, I am back to Project Elixir now, which went smoothly with dirty flash by the way.
Two things I noticed on PPUI on my violet after clean flash PPUI 5.0:
1. I was unable to turn off advance charging info on lock screen, switch did not work for.
2. Option to double tap to sleep on status bar says double tap on lockscreen instead. It is working but the writing is off.
Thanks a lot @sourav24071999!
Currently I'm on PPUI v4.7 Android 12 and I will try PPUI v.5.0 | Android 13.

I think it's your battery issue. Not the ROM. You need to check this with Hardware repairman.

Yeah I encountered a similar issue….this rom was working very good for a month and then suddenly when the battery hit 0 and I connected the charger, My phone has charged 100% in TWRP but I cant reboot to system ….If I click reboot to system it brings me back to twrp
EDIT: Apparently it opened Automatically when I connected it to My Laptop Instead of My 22.5W Fast Charger
