Yes with Gms installed. Push works for All My Apps i need: WhatsApp, Outlook, N26 Bank etc. GPS works accuracy needs little bit longer 1 or 2 seconds. But it works. I use Google maps without any Problem. I installed the Google System with Aurora store. Not the lz play one.

I want to know if GMS push notifications work or only HMS, do you have freezed GFS? If you have freezed GFS the GPS accuracy should be really poor in many apps like in all tries i maked in past.

Did you update your EMUI 11 using HiSuite Proxy? (The link of the firmware is provided by Findware Finder made by Team MT) Or did you update via OTA? When I try to update my EMUI from 10.1.0.183 to 11.0.0.130 via HiSuite Proxy, I always get an eror "Group Version Not Match". When I update via phone's software update page, it says "Your software is up to date".
However, I know that EMUI 11 is released quite some time ago and I am pretty sure my phone can receive the EMUI 11 update. I am using P40 Pro.

I didn't use any of These apps. So i can Not say if one of Those apps works.
What's the real benefit with freezing gfs? I just installed GMS, updated and only thing not working for me (that I use) ifs Google 2FA popups when signing in. I also get a gfs power drain warning once a day but battery life is still amazing so not sure if it really drains or not.

Hi. First if all, let me tell you I don't have the device, but planning to buy one soon. One of the guys in my neighborhood have a global rom version for sale. I am reading through the forums and I can see most of the users here have the Chinese version of the phone. I would like to ask somebody with the Indian version and global rom installed if there is any issue from those that affect the Chinese version of the phone (vivo account necessary to change the launcher, bloatware, notification issues etc...). Is the device certified in google play store? Is Google assistant working normally with dedicated button?
Thanks.

Yes the Indian (global) version is certified in play store.
You can use any launcher without any trouble.
Bloatware is there and some of it is uninstallable.
Yes Google lense and assistant is working great with dedicated button but cannot remap it.
Same as above. Also the bloatware is far less compared to Chinese version as seen on YouTube. No phone number verification required to do any kind of changes in system.
Thanks guys, I appreciate your insight.
Are you experiencing any issues with notifications not showing up? Bluetooth connectivity issues if some kind (stuttering sound for example)?

Never faced this problem with notifications. Sorry no idea about Bluetooth, haven't tried it.
Few other things: is changing a launcher a pain as in Chinese model?
Are settings of the phone accessible from a quick settings tie or only from the icon (the actual app)?
Have been using the phone for past 2 days and loving it especially coming from Honor Note 8, where getting Notification and many of the simple things used to cause lots of headache.
Loving the phone- no issues with notification and/or changing Launcher. @boober78- In Chinese version, you apparently need Vivo account to change Launcher! (Used to be issue with Honor phone as well)
Bluetooth works fine and have it connected with Gear S3, which also is running smoothly, unlike Honor wherein, the aggressive battery monitor used to close it intermittently. Having used EMUI (and other Chinese version Mobiles past 3 years, including Mi Mix), I think this has been a pleasant change. Only thing I dont like is Size- its too small for my liking! If Honor Note 10 releases in India, will go for it.
I am facing one issue. Any third party app which uses camera especially front camera in night even with sufficient light, is getting yellowish and pink image. Human face and colors dont appear normal. Video calling quality feels as if I am using 5000 inr smartphone. Example, video calling in duo, whatsapp etc, Google lens, open camera app, etc.

For 600€ i can get Nex 128gb/8gb, but the chinese model... is it still worth it? I'm just a bit scared about some apps compatibility

He means there is no app clone feature.
Funny company. Look at what happens when you switch on developer settings. My goodness. Overall it's a beast of a phone, but come on vivo, get a grip.
Got the India model today and now i have both models The Indian model is realy great.
First things i notice are:
- Indian model has a verry small Vivo logo on the back, you can almost not see it.
- All notifications like Whatsapp works without disabling i Manager app.
- White looks more white on Indian model, white on Chinese model looks kinda dull.
- Jovi button on Indian model activates Google lens and Google Assistant.
- On Indian model all Google apps are pre-installed and Google Play Store is certified.
- Vivo account is not needed anymore. There is Vivo Cloud, but you can make an account easy with email.
- App clone works with Whatsapp, just press the Whatsapp icon and hold to enable it.
- App linking works on Indian model.
- Screenshot app works much better on Indian model.
- Apps that use the slide down like "dimmer" work on Indian model.

Hi everyone,
So although that I had made attempts to successfully install gms without any errors, I did not fully succeed in any of the guides. My firmware was 114 or 117 (don't remember now) and I tried several times with this firmware, as well as with 121 firmware (the only update I had).
So far, Google photos, Google maps, Google drive, YouTube, whatsapp, all work, however I am getting the notification "device is not play protect certified" when I open them (attached).
NEVERTHELESS, I do note foll:
- whatsapp backup successfully restored from Google drive, - Google photos sync and backup successfully between devices
- maps work (haven't actually navigated, but seems that everything is calculated properly).
-Contacts have synced with my Google contacts
-Gmail app works, but whenever I launch the app I get a banner saying "Google is having trouble with play services. Please try again", however I can see behind the banner that all new mails are there, but if i click the compose msg button, then I keep getting the error and cannot proceed.
-What I noticed though is that no any app currently installed on my p20 pro has been restored from play store on the p40 pro.
-i have NO notifications from Google apps
-Google search app works only for searching, I have no cards displayed on Google feed and it shows that I am not signed in, although all other Google apps have me properly signed in.
-Google Home does not work, since it does not allow me to sign in.
-Youtube works normally without any errors, actually I am also receiving notifications of newly uploaded videos :/
What the heck is going on? How come they partly work since my device is not certified and I am getting the notification page in all Google apps when they first launch?

IMO you should factory reset the phone and try another method for installing GMS until you find one that works for you. I tried a few and this way I was able to made it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83303057&postcount=262
It seems it is not possible to have both notifications and play store working together, so you use Icebox to freeze Google Play after restoring your purchased in order to have notifications. Then use a replacement store like Aurora.
Good luck and don't give up ?
I have Google installed, with Google Play and notifications active (I don't know if that metod still works)

I tried many methods so far, the one you used, one from a German guy, the other from the Portuguese guy (video in English) but all more or less resulted the same.
What I cannot understand is whether I do have play services working after all, or not, since as I said, my content syncs, although I am getting the non-certified error. Ok, and I do not have notifications from gapss.. [emoji23]
So I am really really confused.

No, it is not save to install a firmware that does not suite to your device. In best case it just can't be installed, in worst case you'll brick your phone. This is at least what I think and what a heard from other user reports in this forum. Do you have difficulties to find the right firmware?

So what I can say from my side, Gmail app works for me. And Google Home allows me to sign in. Anyway I don´t use this app, so I cannot say more about it.
On the other side I had problems with syncing contacts and calendar.. but I found a solution.
Maybe the "functionality" refers to the firmware, maybe the GMS installation is just not "perfect".
Any other apps, that don´t work for you.? I can install them on my phone and try, if they are not country related, as "food delivery service" you´ve mentioned?

First of all, thanks vm for your assistance
You can try to search for "efood delivery" , but even netflix does not let me sign in, although their behavior is different; when i click sign in to netflix, i get the pop up abt the device not being certified, then takes me back to initial netflix screen. In the efood app, I click to launch the app, i get the error and then the app closes again. The weird thing is that efood is also in appGallery (huawei native store), so supposedly it should work.
To be honest, I love huawei devices for their build quality, cameras, battery performance and I have been debating with myself on whether I should buy the p40 pro (i really need google apps for so many reasons- home automation by using google home, etc), but I guess I am screwed; unless I make things work properly i will have to keep using my p20 pro.

I just installed efood delivery, at least it lets me to sign in via facebook.
Concerning Netflix. It doesn´t work on some devices. I had problems with OnePlus and also with my Huawei P40 Pro at the beginning. Now it works (after installing through Aurora Store I think). I don´t think it is GSM related. For me it works. But there are some solutions in the app-section on XDA.

The installation is far from perfect i tell you that
Let me ask you something, so if you have a successful gms installation, i take it that after that you have to freeze gsf in order to have push notifications of you have normal push notifications?I am somewhat confused on this. Do you have to freeze gsf to have push and then to unfreeze only when you want to use playstore?

No, I didn´t freeze anything. But as I remember it didn´t work from the beginning. I tried so many things and actually I don´t know why everything is working now. I should have written down all my steps . I think I also updated Google services. For syncing contacts I had to downgrade GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.
And I still didn´t recognize, if I get all the notifications that are possible. But I get them for my mails and all other messages (using signal for sms), whatsapp and I don´t miss anything.
If I understood correctly you imported your apps from your P20? Another idea, that there is a conflict with this method? I didn´t have this opportunity as I came from a non huawei device. I had to install all my apps from scratch using Aurora as well as Playstore especially for my paid apps.

Since I had nothing to lose (phone not being properly setup with gms) I restored my p20 pro backup via hisuite. All my data, even home screen, were restored, minus 76 apps which failed for no apparent reason, I just saw a msg that 76 apps did not complete restoration (I have more than 250 apps installed normally)
Now I am pairing my Samsung watch active 2 to see if this works, but as I see it, I will have to try again from scratch.

Of course I cannot know but HiSuite could be the problem, especially if you restore data from a different device. Did you just restore app data or also system data? I´m not firm with HiSuite, but also with former devices I sometimes had conflicts by using backup apps - one reason I miss root.... but I knew it before and still happy with Huawei and the given solutions here on XDA.
So yes, maybe give it a second try, but please don´t make me responsible if you brick your phone ... Good luck!

Or you try to reset all your settings first through the phone´s menu. Maybe you have also restored settings from your older device which cause a conflict now.

I don´t think so. Maybe you take a look into this thread:

Thanks mate, it starts getting a bit more clear now[emoji16]

I also noted that in my setting menu when I select Google account it just keeps loading, is it the same in yours?
P.s: yesterday I inserted my sim cards and got a notification for 154 update, finally.. [emoji23] (although I won't be doing the update until I get this working)
FOR the time being, with my device as is, I would say that I could use it if I had Google home working (my local food app suddenly started to work), even though I am getting the error page when I open apps, since it seems that at the same time apps are working. Any solution on that?

Hi
I have a P40 Pro which I did manage to get most of the Google software working on (apart from pay and gmail notifications)
I have just purchased a car that does not have Android Auto on it, but they do have an after market add on module I can buy that would add Android Auto to my vehicle. The P40 Pro is not on the list of compatible phones. Does anyone know if this will work before I go ahead and buy the unit? The supplier can't help.
There are various phones that run Android 10 eg Google and Samsung that are listed as compatible. It also says all Android 11 phones. The P40 Pro is still on Android 10. However I have had no issues in installing Android Auto from the Play Store.
What I really want to do is to be able to run other maps in the car such as Google Mapes or Waze.
The supplier can't help as technically I shouldn't even be able to run Play Store or Google maps, all of which work 100% fine on my phone.
(Just to add I used Googleify my phone when it first came out and my Gmail account still works. I get emails through OK and Calendar syncs automatically etc. Play Store works fine and I can download apps from there - the phone is running the latest security updates and some things in Googleify seem broken, but everything that was working when I first installed this a year ago seems to still be working - just in case this helps)
Many thanks
If you have install google services on the phone yes android auto will work if it's gspace android auto won't work

Thanks from your reply, but i downloaded from the Google Play and it doesn't work on my car unit!
Yes, is working on the smartphone, but doesn't launch the android auto on the car! It is always trying to connect on USB but seems that something is wrong.
Also have to tell that i have a P30 Pro and is working great on the same car.
Any thoughts??

The systems keeps connecting/disconnecting usb and the smartphone also starting charging mode and stopping.
It is so annoying...keep in mind that my P30 Pro still continues to work well...

I installed Google pay on my Samsung galaxy watch 4 running wear os 3.
It works fine until the app is closed (either by closing it or resetting the watch) - and then when re-opening it it says google pay is not active in this location.
If I uninstall and reinstall it works fine again until the next time it is closed.
Any ideas on how to fix or what might be the issue?
Same problem here. Maybe some update needed
I can use my GPay app where I'm from, but only with a Revolut card (Portugal).
Where are you from?
Same here, from Israel (Google Pay just launched yesterday here).
Glad to see I'm not the only one, hopefully someone will reach out to Samsung/Google, it's definitely bugged.

Looks like Google fixed this issue this morning and now it's working properly.
My google pay since yesterday, i had to format the watch, and after i configure all things.
Google pay wont add my Curve Card to the watch. Says that the Curve Card is already added.
But its not, i even removed the card from all places, and still it doesnt let me add the card to GPay on The watch, but i can add without anyproblems to GPLAY on the phone.
Having issues myself, installed GPay and the app redirects me to the nfc section in settings to choose it as the default app but the only option available is Samsung Pay.
Reinstalling the app doesn't appear to solve the issue.

Exactly.
How did you change the csc? I have the BT version.
Fix for the Samsung pay problem will be to uninstall samsung pay throw adb. Look for tutorials to use adb in the watch but it is not difficult.

I think i found a solution:
1. Reset the watch to factory settings (don't connect to phone yet).
2. Enable "Developer options" in phone.
3. Download a mock location app and a VPN app (I used "Fake GPS location" and "PIA VPN")
4. Enter "Developer options" and select the app you downloaded in the mock location menu.
5. Set phone location to to supported country (I used USA) and the VPN server to the same location.
6. Connect the phone to the watch and start the setup process.
7. Disable location and WIFI on the watch.
8. Download the GPay app to the watch.
9. Start GPay app on the watch and finish the setup.
10. Enter the NFC menu and choose GPay as the payment app.
And done.
Now you can delete the mock location app and the VPN app from your phone and enable location and WIFi on the watch.
Worked for me and had success using it IRL.
Hope this helps someone.
I have discovered a way to use Google Pay in an unsupported country and this works for me:
I am in India.
and I have a Galaxy Watch 4
Download the below-mentioned apk and install it with the below steps:
Use ADB:
> $ adb connect <IP> (Connect to your Galaxy Watch 4)
> $ adb install<path to package>
Google Wallet will let you add cards for some time until it says you are in an unsupported country.
Add one card which you will be using to pay (as you won't be able to switch cards whenever you want with this method)
The Google Wallet app will work until it says you are in an unsupported country.
But you can (in most cases) pay with your primary card when that page is open.
Although sometimes when that page is open the payment isn't open so I would suggest you close the app from recent apps when you're done paying and relaunch it every time you have to pay.
(Google Pay still lets you use your primary added card even on the page that says you are in an unsupported country.)
(This version of Google Wallet does not disappear in my case)
If you wish to add new cards or delete existing ones, please follow these steps:
(reinstall Google Wallet so it lets you access the insides of the app)
> $ adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.walletnfcrel
> $ adb install /path/to/package/1
(proceed to open the app)
(DO Note: Google Wallet app needs to be open and it will not appear in the payment apps list)

The phone until Harmony 2.0 was perfect working for me, but nevertheless with this new update that occupies about 6 GB in size I have a problem with Google Services: In certain weather apps, traffic cars, etc. that use Google maps to show locations or positioning... the map does not load, and it shows me a message that "Google Services are being updated", and nothing else.

Some more people is suffering the same problems:

im having the same problem.
And Flightradar is not working anymore, the MAP not loading,
Google Chrome Browser dont support Video Playback anymore (Firefox yes)
before with HMOS 2.0 and GMS no problem now witch 3.0 only problems.

I don't use Whatsapp but I use Zalo (A similar app in my country) On my Mate 50 too, but when I send the location the recipient still gets my location and displays normally. It is also difficult to work perfectly when we are using pirated GMS, I think if you want to work perfectly, you can use it in parallel with a virtual environment like Gbox, Gspace

At the previous version of Harmony OS 2.0, Google Maps worked perfectly in all apps.
Huawei has introduced something that makes Google Services not show the maps in this v3.0
The fundamental question is, what have they introduced it ??
@ancola66 -> Do Google Maps work well for you in apps that require it with Harmony OS 3.0 ??
I have Google Play Services installed on my Mate 30 Pro almost natively thanks to Googlefier way and these GMS were working nice ... until Harmony OS 3.0 arrived to my device.
PS: I am not going to stop using WhatsApp for this, it is the largest messaging app in the world and where I have all my contacts, including family members.

Because GSF file never updates itself on a Huawei device like ours.
So it's very important to know which tutorial you follow it and where you took from the Google files to install them on your Huawei.
Do you understand me?
For example, my GSF file is version 10 and I took it from an Eloy Gomez tutorial from YouTube. This tuthorial is the same as Googlefier method.
