This application helps you to remotely change smart TV picture settings and other settings over WI-FI by your mobile phone or tablet.
To do this, use USB debug console via ADB communication protocol. Some Smart-TV models on Android-TV are supported this application.
To be able to connect to TV over Wi-Fi, you must enable USB debugging access in TV settings. Please note that this will block one of the USB ports.
In application settings, you need to specify network address of TV and the standard connection port 5555 of ADB protocol.
You can fast and easy adjust the following settings:
- Screen on / off
- Enable / disable HDR mode
- Backlight
- Saturation
- Brightness
- Contrast

Looks like this can solve my everlasting problem of not being able to disable HDR in my projector. However, the app doesn't seem to connect to my device. I have the Xiaomi MJJGTYDS02FM (LED compact projector Chinese version). Can you shed some light on how to make it work, or can it be even supported with this device?

Permissions:
I request and use the following permissions:
Bluetooth: Needed to get a list of paired devices and receive a connected/disconnected intent.
Download:
Get it from the Play Store!
If you can't access the Play Store, here's an exact copy of the APK on the store, please use the store if possible, thanks! http://mohammadag.xceleo.org/public/Android/BluetoothCarModeStarter_1.0.apk

If you found this app useful, consider donating with PayPal.
Android 4.2 Users:
Google removed a huge part of Car Mode in Android 4.2, luckily, workarounds exist for rooted users:
Rooted? Install Xposed Framework and this "Restore Car Mode on 4.2"
Not rooted / don't want to install Xposed Framework, you can use this, but it limits you to Car Home Ultra, I'll be making a solution that allows you to pick your own car home instead later on.

Proxy Settings provides a set of tools to ease the access and the modification of proxy server configuration into your Android device when you are connected to any Wi-Fi (at the moment setting the proxy on Mobile network is not supported).
The application is developed in two different main branches, accordingly to Android's versions different support and implementation of the proxy support.
1.x & 2.x devices: single proxy support, using an hidden activity (ProxySelector) available in the most number of ROMs.
3.x & 4.x devices: per Wi-Fi access point proxy support
WARNING: Please remember that configuring the proxy doesn't mean that all your applications will automatically start to using these settings! This is due to a not easy understandable API for developers. If you are interested in a deeper analysis of this issue, you can find a detailed explanation of the problem and leave your feedbacks/comments on the official website: http://shouldit.be/category/android-proxy-project.
The project offers also an open source module called Android Proxy Library (APL) that provides to the developers an easy way to access and use the proxy settings in every Android application. So, if you want the Proxy support in your favourite applications, start request this feature to their developers!

By Magrathea designHave you ever thought about recycling an old android device? Would you like to remotely download files from a slow/limited network connection?
StreamStation is a download server that works on your Android device, allowing you to control file downloads from a web client (a PC or another mobile device).
Leave your device where there's a fast or unlimited web connection, such as at office, enable port forwarding on your router and comfortably download any large file from your slow/cheap/restricted internet key or home connection.
Features:
Name: StreamStation
Size: ~2.5Mb
Year: 2014
Platform: Android 2.3+
Language: English (other in update)
Permissions: internet, network connection access, storage management
Android application (server):
Web page (client):
Using StreamStation is very simple: after the first configuration, enable the server on the application; to start, stop and control the downloads, on the client head to:
http://<ip-address>:<port>Where the default port is 9090 (customizable).
I published more detailed instructions on Magrathea design's StreamStation user manual
Or you can have a look at my article at Magrathea design.

Is there a terminal command, or an intent, I could send to Advanced Settings to get it to set the ambient brightness level to what I want between 1 and 255? My coding skills are zero, but I use Wearshell and Tasker a lot, and I know how to send shell commands to my watch and I know how to sideload Tasker apks onto my watch to send intents. I love the advanced settings app and I use it a lot. Any help is appreciated thank you.
is there a file advanced settings keeps it's settings in? could I swap that file out for copies of the file that have custom settings I've configured? I ask because I use tasker and autovoice a lot and it'd be great to speak a settings profile and have it activate thank you
