Dealers with Authentic Batteries for U11 & U12+? - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

I am looking to change out the battery on my U11 which has seen better days and is simply deteriorating without much usage. Does anyone know of dealers that have confirmed authentic batteries for it and the U12+? Eventually I'll also change the one in the latter. Extra points for EU/EEA dealers.

Extended batteries & shipping to Australia

I'm looking to buy a larger extended battery for my galaxy, but unfortunately third party manufacturers don't seem to deliver to Australia and if they do it has a ridiculous postage rate.
Would anyone happen to know of any places I could buy extended batteries (such as ankers 5200mah one) and cases that fit around them, which can be bought or delivered to Australia?
Otherwise, would unknown third party batteries be suitable? Such as this one: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141042716786.
I know most likely it won't be 5800mah and is probably around 5200mah without NFC (don't use that anyways), but would it harm my phone and would it last as long as let's say ankers battery? I ask since its a lot cheaper and can be delivered pretty quickly which is a bonus.
Thanks to anyone that can help!

replacement battery?

Hi there, I bought a used XT1225 a couple months ago and the battery is worn (dying at ~35%). Did anyone here do a battery swap? I'm used to fixing my devices by myself, so I only need guidance on where to get a genuine battery (trustworthy eBay/amazon sellers or other online shops), or recommendations on third-party brands that make decent batteries for the quark (saw some listings of this "x-longer" brand on eBay but I've never heard of it before - I would rather get something like Mugen Power or Zerolemon).
Thanks in advance!
Do searches for: OEM Motorola battery Droid Turbo XT1254.
Yes, I know you have an XT1225, but it's also a Quark and is better known of the Quarks.
Here's one:
For Motorola Droid Turbo XT1254 EQ40 OEM Genuine Replacement Battery SN5949N
http://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Motorol...ine-Replacement-Battery-SN5949N-/252380471441
Some like these also sell you the battery + tools to help you replace it:
New Genuine Replace Battery For Motorola Droid Turbo XT1254 SNN5949A EQ40 +Tools
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuine...68b01b8&pid=100005&rk=6&rkt=6&sd=262781348810
This one lists XT1225 in the title as well, just to reassure you it's compatible. But if it fits for the Droid Turbo, it fits for all Quarks.
OEM Motorola EQ40 SNN5949A Internal Battery Droid Turbo XLTE XT1254 XT1225
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Motorol...ef1c65&pid=100011&rk=2&rkt=12&sd=152046189164
You don't have to buy from either of those guys, I'm just giving you examples and you can use the information in those listings to then search for other sellers if you wish.
Apparently EQ40 seem to be the part number in the Motorola system.
@ChazzMatt I have done some research and bumped into some of these you linked. My issue here is assuring the battery is of decent quality, so my phone won't explode or have the battery wear fast. Most of these OEM batteries are not good quality, I don't want to risk getting a faulty one and having to wait a couple of months to have it replaced.

If it's really OEM, they are good quality. OEM is an acronym that means "original equipment manufacturer" -- it means the ORIGINAL part the phone was manufactured with. "Replacement" part (in this case, battery) is what you don't want, or "OEM-equivalent" -- which means they are saying it's "as good as" OEM. Sometimes it's not.
I did list some replacement batteries just because sometimes sellers may call it that for people who don't know what to look for.
But if it's truly OEM, then it's exactly what was put in the phone by the manufacturer.
Now if you are saying they are lying and it's not truly an OEM part, I understand your hesitation.
The thing to generally look out for is listings which state a capacity higher than the original battery.
The Quark has a "non-removable" battery and a "sealed" back cover. The only battery ever produced for it (to the best of my knowledge) was the 3900mAh EQ40 battery --- no official high-capacity batteries/extended backplates. Li-Ion and Li-Po have remained largely the same for at least a decade, never mind the last couple years; any seller claiming a larger capacity in the same form-factor is full of it.
It looks like the batteries were originally manufactured by Hanrim Postech Electric Co. LTD. Just looking real quick, there's at least one being sold on eBay that's labeled by "Pro-Power Communications Co. LTD".
Personally, I'd buy one that's from the company who originally made them, but that's just me...it's entirely possible that Pro-Power took over manufacture of replacements for Motorola at some point, and make a perfectly adequate battery. I dunno, pop your back cover off and see who manufactured your current battery.
Buy from sellers with high feedback, avoid high-capacity/gold-labeled/non-OEM-labeled batteries, and you'll be fine. Batteries with fancy labels are generally just plain old OEM batteries with the label replaced; effectively mystery batteries. Don't pay extra for them unless you know it's from a reputable brand who's known to use good cells (e.g. Mugen).
If you want to get a battery that might last a tad bit longer, try asking a seller if they would be willing to send you one of the latest-dated cells in their inventory, so you get one that's "fresher". Batteries have a limited shelf life, after all, and the clock's always ticking.
Another question: I just saw a refurb unit listing, this battery was took from a phone, which includes the wireless charging coil, but most listings for the battery don't include the coil. Is the coil easy to move from one battery to another just by heating?
anyone successfully replace this battery? mine is starting to die VERY quickly nowadays and i'm not willing to let this phone go yet. i found what seems to be OEM battery on ebay and was thinking of doing the replacement. just want to see if there's been any success or stories of failure. thanks all.

Need a trusted source for Genuine original battery

As per title, banggood used to sell them and I have heard gearbest can be dodgy for counterfeit stuff, Are there any trusted sellers where we can get a real original battery?
You are right, it is pretty hard to be sure you are receiving an actual Xiaomi original battery based on just a web page description. Even given multiple batteries that look identical, and then opting for the one with a higher price on the assumption that it really is original, well, that is absolutely not definitive (at least not in my experience--I have been burned a bunch of times like this...). I think the only way is maybe to buy it directly from Xiaomi because I think even bigger China-based retailers (Banggood, DX, Gearbest, etc.) buy merchandise to resell thinking it is actually authentic only to find out it is just a good fake job. I'm not sure how to get around this. Because this is the case, nowadays, I usually just look on Aliexpress, find a vendor with a good rating and a high number of orders, and go with it. This is based on the assumption that actual experiences and word of mouth have led to a high rating and high number of orders, but neither is this a guarantee.
I did recently purchase a second battery for my RN2 on Aliexpress, and it cost a bit less than US$6 including shipping. It seems to perform as well as the original battery. Although you might see BM45 replacement batteries which offer up to 4000 mAh of capacity, the only way to be really sure about this is to use a USB voltage/amperage tracker during charging that also tallies mAh, and then account for nominal USB vs Li-ion voltage, i.e. 5V vs. 3.7V, and an efficiency factor.
Anyway, in the long run, I have probably not answered your question about a source for an original Xioami battery. But I can say my <US$6 one bought on Aliexpress seems to work as well as the original. Good luck with the search!
It's difficult to find a genuine battery and I beware who claim his battery have more mAh than the original one.
So I bought a Nohon battery from AliExpress and I'd say it's a good replacement.
+1 for Nohon battery. Good, after-market battery

LOL. Yeah my ORIGINAL battery looks like a balloon and it's now hard to close the back cover so I did order the Nohon battery. :silly:
I don't think that you can find the real original battery any more. In general, Dragon TT is a good source for parts, but they haven't had them in stock for a while. I ended up getting a Nohon battery (from what's supposed to be their factory store on Ali) and it seems pretty good. The capacity seems to be on par with the original, back when it was new, and it doesn't drop from 100 to 90% as soon as you start using the phone, like the original did. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, though.
Nohon batteries bad design
Hi,
I write just to warn about Nohon battery and their supposed 6 month warranty.
I had a bad experience asking support about a new battery bought through Aliexpress on 2018/09/09. The battery was a BM35 model designed for Mi 4C phone and has a loosen connector as shown in the photo attached. I had some experience with different brand spare batteries, because as we all know it is almost impossible to find original xiaomi batteries and rarely the replaced battery has a capacity similar to the original so it wears out faster, but this is the first time I see such a poor designed connector. I had the original one and other two third-brand BM35 batteries and usually the ribbon connector is a whole part fixed under the battery shoulder, instead the Nohon ribbon wire seems to be a different kind of plastic less flexible and more easy to cut, or simply not well fixed under the battery shoulder and easy to detach. I think this could lead to a potentially dangerous short-circuit of the battery itself and damage the phone too.
Obviously I reported this issue through Aliexpress dispute system directly to Nohon store and even if my battery should have been replaced inside the 6 month warranty, I received a joking reply telling me they would have let me know in a hypothetical future and they never replied anymore to the next message.

Does the quick charge work with this Nohon battery?
It does, the battery charges as quickly as the original one did, at around 2A.

Authentic U12+ and U11 Batteries?

I've bought a screen for my u12+ and the old one m7. The m7 seems original and all good, the u12+ I'm still waiting for it. It should come next week...
They don't seem to have the battery for the u12+ but send an email asking for it. They didn't have the screen for the u12+ and I asked them and that's why they have it now xD

Batteries - Where, Help??

Where in the world could we now find a reliable battery for our old but gold galaxy S5?
Are there any authentic batteries still being produced till date?
The GAD batteries from UK are now out of production too!
Do you guys suggest downgrading to the very first firmware in order to retain battery performance and eliminate lag?
Crickets....anyone???
any idea when that GADfull battery from the UK will restock? I see them as the only decent option other than the extended batteries from AliExpress..
Anyone have experience with one of these?
Wish I knew. I saw somewhere that Polarcell used to be good, but then heard that Nohon was too, and the consensus now is that Nohon lasts a year. Getting to where the phones need new batteries and all we know is that the "Samsung" batteries are either run down used ones or counterfeit.
Downside of Polarcell is that they seem to only have them in Germany, which means $$ shipping.
I need a battery for mine and am trying to look around. Someone somewhere said "go to a local repair place that has been there a while, they know the ones that actually work"
