Poco x3 halves the battery in 10 minutes - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Hi everyone I own a Poco X3 nfc. Today after having charged it to 100% with its original charger I disconnect it and after about 10 minutes I unlock the screen and notice that the battery is at 47%. How could it have halved so quickly? Should I contact support or is it a known bug? Thanks to those who will answer me

That's NOT RIGHT...
I've had my Poco X3 off the charger for 24 hours, in standby with WIFI, GPS and Bluetooth active and a live wallpaper and have only just hit 94%...
Granted I have not really used it, screen on really drains it fast, but most apps won't drain a battery in 10 minutes more than 50%.
It usually takes an hour or 2 of intense gaming to drain my battery like that...

if you lose 50 percent in an hour then something is wrong

Try turning off the Always Scanning for WiFi option. Also, change the Sync settings for apps you don't need to be synced at all times. And Location setting to Battery Saver.

When im at home i can pull close to 4hrs screen on . If im not on wifi the phone idle is terrible. I probably drain 6% or more per hr idling. Its hard coming from a note 4 , but i guess it is what it is.

Draining at 6% per hour is not good & unusual. But for Android 5.0.2, it seems about right, unfortunately. My N5 drained at that rate before the 5.1 update.
On my S4 with its 2-yr old battery, I drain at 3 to 3.5% per hour on idle with both WiFi & LTE turned off.
On my N5 with a new battery & 5.1, I idle drain at 0.7 to 1.5% per hour.
I'll add my battery drain rate once I get my S6E tomorrow.

This is mine on light usage. I noticed etter after a factory reset. Heavy usage is between 6 and 8 depending on wifi
I'm debating going to get one of these... My Note 2 keeps not charging and the stock battery died in 1:10 (from 50% to 1%) during a run yesterday. I was using spotify and mapmyrun.
Today is my first day after first full charge and my battery drains at ~3.5% hour, per GSAM.
I have screen brightness at little bit below the half-way mark with Auto Brightness checked.
I disconnected my phone at 6 AM and right now, it has been on 16 hrs 30 mins. I have gotten 2 hrs 30 mins SOT with 45% left.
Wifi active for 6 hrs, LTE for about 1 hr.
Screen has used 52% of my battery, Wifi 15% (5.0.2 shortcoming), Bluetooth (2%), Held Awake (0%), Phone (0%), Phone Radio (0%), App Usage (31%).
So far, the S6E is outperforming my Nexus 5 on 5.1 with a brand-new battery I swapped in on 4/1/2015.
Happy with the S6E's battery life, especially considering it's only 2600mah.
a little over 6hrs and it went from 100% to 14%. Granted 56%-23% were on a 1:43 run using Bluetooth headphones + spotify and mapmyrun mapping my way. Oddly, when I look at the battery usage, OneDrive is at 18%!
18 hrs & 37 mins off the charger with 4 hrs 8 mins of SOT. 17% battery left. I'm very happy with this. Update to 5.1 should improve it a lot more as it did on my Nexus 5.
Android System & Kernel battery usage is pretty decent. Those two on my N5 on 5.1 drains way more battery than it does on my S6 Edge.
When I'm not actively using my phone, the idle battery drain rate is pretty good - 1.9%/hour (similar to my N5, with the N5 being a bit better).
13 hrs & 9 mins off the charger with 2 hrs 20 mins SOT --> 52% battery left.
All this is without Root and my usual battery-saving Root programs.
Once 5.1 rolls out and if I decide to Root the phone and add battery-saving Root apps, I'm expecting to achieve 6-7 hrs SOT.

Ive noticed that turning off location and disabling google now has helped my battery life a lot.
I love this phone, but the battery life is the one terrible thing. 7-10 hours seems to be the max. I might have to return it and suffer the summer until the note 5.
i'm surprised to hear about all the negative battery life issues on this phone. on my GS3, i'd lose 3-4% battery just driving to work - now I get there and still have 100%. maybe i'm just not as heavy a user, but the other day my phone was off the charger for 16 hours and I still had 43% when I got home - and that included using Google Maps for 20 minutes, texting throughout the day, and using a bunch of apps. when idle, I generally only get 1% battery drain. my only complaint about the phone is some of the UI that I can't customize, but it's only a matter of time before custom ROMs are available...
I lose 10% or more battery on the phone regardless if I'm using it or it is sitting with the screen off. When I drive the 45 minutes to work, the battery is at 89%-93%.
A 1hr run with it on my arm playing spotify/mapmyrun seems to use about 26%.
Basically, I'm always worried now about the battery dying when I'm using it.
at the end of next month, I have a 14hr+ a day for 4 days music festival where I can only charge it at night. 7-10hr battery isn't going to work for me. It seems bizarre to me that they made the best phone ever, but skimped on the battery.
drive to work today with the phone just sitting beside me, 100% to 86%.

Is your location on? I had to disable google now. Turned off nfc, advanced wifi scanning.
my battery sucks too :/
i live by the charger even more
with all the same activities that got 7-10 hours on my Edge, the Note 4 is getting 14-24hrs.
Battery is beyond horrible!
Wifi is off
NFC is off
What else can I turn off? I can't even get half day out of this POS.

I think you actually want Wi-Fi to be on. I find that on any android device I burn more battery when using cellular networks.

Standby drain

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the OnePlus 6T's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
10% drop in 8 hours in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgtpvkGRr4k
Can anyone confirm? Does standby suck?
Sleeps well. I'm 21 hours and at 65% off charger. 2.7 hours screen on time.
Deep sleep cpu speed is 76%
Make sure you don't have things eating your battery with screen off
My standby has been great. Usually 5-8 percent drop in a 5-7 hour window. Way better than my V30; that thing would eat up 15-20% every night.
Mine has been at 3% drop per 7 hours I'm asleep. I don't know if it has anything to do with DND being on but I was also getting the same drop with my P2XL.
I have been noticing this everyday for the past week. And almost every single time I see about 4-5% drain in about 8-9 hours which is pretty good.
This is on WiFi. So if you're on mobile data there might be a slightly higher drain.
Current status: In deep sleep for 86% of screen off time.
I've also noticed 4-5% drain in about 8-9 hours on WiFi and DND. I'm happy.
Only lost 3% overnight, including picking the phone up and using it a few times.
Not on wifi mine went from ~40% to 3% also my alarm didn't go off. Alarm was set at 545 woke up at 630 and when I picked up my phone to check the time that's when the alarm decided to go off. Nice feature ignoring alarms to save battery.
Is it good enough?
My battery stats are messed up. Battery % goes up even when I'm not charging.

How long have you been using your phone and what's the lowest battery percentage you've hit?
Sometimes it helps to let the software recalibrate the battery by charging the phone to 100 and going all the way down to 0 and then charging back to 100.
I generally lose about 1% every 2 hours overnight. About 1% every hour in the day (When wake my phone up every now and then)

Is it one plus 6t bro?......actually last night my screen on time is 8 hr 17min or smthing.......bt not this much like urs .......what features u disabled to save the battery?
Light use on this thing is crazy. And by light use I mean still using it for over 2 hours a day I can still eek out 2 days without charging.
I'm really unhappy with my battery drain. I see about 2% per hour when I set the phone down and sleep.
I have a Gear S3 paired, two sim cards, and email notifications for about 8 email accounts. But other phones I've had would drain 1% or less per hour under the same conditions.

That's a lot of drain right there. What other phones drained less with 8 accounts syncing and a paired watch?
Mine also has worsen with the new update, and the fingerprint sensor also got slower than the previous build.

Huawei P30 fast battery drain

Hello,
I've purchased a huawei p30 few days ago, and I noticed that the battery drains pretty fast comparing to a thread I've read here about Huawei P30 Pro battery drain (link).
It takes 1% of battery for about 4-6 minutes of use.
In addition, it consumes 10% overnight (10 hours), with only cellular and data connection, no wifi, no gps, no nfc.
Tested it with flight mode, and it takes 7% overnight (10 hours), which I think is way too much (should be like 1% right?).
I have version 9.1.0.193 (europe version), with the ability to upgrade to 240.
What can possibly cause that? I only have it for few days, with 3 apps installed: Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram.
I wondered, how is your battery consume? that would be nice if you can share your stats.
thanks
Edit:
Tested the phone in safe mode, 10% over 10 hours standby, I got a defect for sure =\

Thanks for your response.
I did viewed the battery usage, however there is nothing that consuming too much battery, looks normal.
The drain got better overtime, now I get 3% overnight (10 hours) on flight mode without AOD and 5% with cellular, which is ok.
However, on standby time over the daylight, the battery drains 1% every 30 minutes, I think that is very bad. not sure why the standby time is so bad.
I get SOT of 6~ minutes every 1% (which is great for me).
So I'm not sure what could be causing that. I've watched a video by linus on youtube about galaxy s9+ on battery drain, and it seems that the mobo have a leak, which made it drain.
Is it possible that huawei also suffer from mobo leaks?

Poco X3 Android system high drain?

Hello,
I just got my Poco X3, running MIUI 12.0.7, yesterday but it felt like the battery was draining faster than it should. I checked the stats and it says android system contributed about 12% of that usage with a total CPU time of 3h 18min. Is that normal?
Even if that is normal, something is definitely wrong. Since I took the screenshot, exactly half an hour has passed, I did a reboot after taking the screenshot and since then it went from 64% to 59% in those 30 minutes with nothing more than mobile data active and screen brightness fixed at around 10-15%.
Try this. It was the first thing I did after staring my new device. I have around 8-11 hours of SOT. Stock Miui 12.0.7.
praveenkumar-rv.me
Since the phone is brand new, the Battery needs time to calibrate itself. It will take a few cycles to adjust. Don't worry about the Android System usage, it will settle after a while.
If the usage is still unusually high after a week, please post back here in this thread with SoT and same battery graph.
SoT for Indian Poco is around 10-13 Hours.
SoT for Poco X3 NFC is around 7-9 Hours.
Enjoy your Poco.
My SOT is even worse than yours.

Battery life is very poor on my couple of year old moto g fast

If my phone is off the charger and In use I only get about 4-5 hours of use. Could I have ruined the battery by constantly letting it sit on the charger?
i have an older Huawei P30 Pro with good battery life.
Anyway we cant say if you battery is ruined.
The problem could be apps/mods or a new firmware

A battery gets ruined when it's charge isn't not constantly kept in the range 20% - 80%.
