Has anyone been able to install Google Services in EMUI 11? - Huawei Mate 30 Pro Questions & Answers

I have opened this thread here in case someone with a Mate 40 or with a Mate 30 Pro recently acquired with EMUI 11 has managed to install Google services, and what method you have used.
My Mate 30 Pro 5G is updated to EMUI 11 with factory reset, but I can't find a method that works for me.
I have tried with the Spanish Eloy Gomez but I can't even do the first step because I can't install 2 Backup apk files that Eloy himself asks for.
This is due to the fact that previously I had to uninstall the original Backup app that comes in my Mate 30 Pro, but after wanting to install the 2 apks, the Huawei shows me an ERROR message: "That most recent app already exists on your device . Uninstall it and proceed again "... but I CAN'T find it because I already uninstalled it.
And so on all the time :crying: :crying: :crying:

My Mate 30 Pro has updated to EMUI 11 so I have to find the Google Services restore at Mate 40 forum because the Mate 40 series are running by EMUI 11 OS.

I got it !!!!!
Downgrade to EMUI 10.1 with HiSuite !!!! and I followed Eloy Gomez way !!!!!

You must have a typo there
Eloygomeztv method only works on 10........ Something not on 10.1

How you updated back to 10.1 post downgrade.
Installed gms yesterday post downgrade to 10 but still not able to update device.
It says your device up to date.

My Mate 30 Pro updated to EMUI 11 last night and GMS is still working. I had downloaded the GMS from Dee Kosh. Watch Youtube for the steps.

Received EMUI 11 via the OTA on my Mate 30 Pro, all is working as it did before. GMS is not deleted nor did it stopped working. I have GMS on my device since 1 full year now without any issue except for some slow or missing push notifications. I can live with this.

This is a video from nov, 2019 ....

GMS on my Mate 30 Pro has been installed by LZplay long time ago and it's working still going through all the updates, EMUI 11 as well, however i see much more battery drain now. On 10 or 10.1 i though that battery is endless however now it looks ok on deep sleep however once I'm starting to do something it goes down faster, do you have similar observations?

I also have GMS with LZ since January 2020 when I bought the phone (International model).
It is my impression that battery is better with 11.0 than with 10.1. In any case it was best with original 10.0.

Anyone figured out how to setup google device policy and use work profile?

EMUI9 for P20 Update interval

Hi, I've been googling around to find out when is EMUI9 going to my device? My Phone is P20 EML-L29(c461). To be to the point I'm using english as default language on my phone, so not sure if region is so necessary in this case but maybe there's a way to upgrade it to a global version or some? This is my first Huawei phone so I'm curious what would be the best option here to upgrade or just wait for OTA update?

Try to find a new update from Huawei Care app from your phone. I've got the OTA for EMUI 9 from that said app.

I've tried that one already. But still not there yet.
Well it has finally arrived to my phone. It took it a month to get to me.
The OTA update for EML-L09 9.0.0.159 showed up couple days ago. I tried to update several times but download failed around 75% mark. Finally I installed HiSuite as suggested by Huawei support. The app has an update feature which let me finish the update without any issues. It should be noted that the app I installed is in Chinese, I thought I downloaded and installed an English version, lol.

Yeah, I have all the possible apps from Huawei including HiCare. As for the language is not a big deal you can change the region and language that suites you most in the settings of the app.

How To Install Google Play Store on the Huawei MatePad Pro

I just confirmed that this worked for the Matepad Pro - following this how-to originally intended for installing the Play Store on the Mate 30 Pro: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-30-pro/how-to/install-gms-google-play-store-t3992095/page100

I try to download it from the https://lmphotography641.wordpress.com/2019/10/27/installing-google-play-store-for-mate-30-pro/
but it is not able to download.
Is LZplay different for every different mobile phone?
LZPlay works but only on LTE model, it doesn't on WiFi counterpart
Tried it on my WiFi version, doesn't work, keep getting Google protect errors...
Does anyone tried it on the MatePad wifi version? What method worked? Thank you

Yes I performed the procedure a couple of days ago on a Chinese MatePad Pro WiFi following this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYOU_YxrHhc and using the zip file he links to.
It worked perfect after a couple of reboots and some patience.
A similar text version of the procedure: https://www.huaweiblog.de/news/huawei-google-installieren-anleitung-neu/
Have anyone try it on wifi version? which one is the best to install?
I don't have an OTG adapter as per the guide. Can you still use the Backup Method (using HiSuite) to install LZPlay with this method (https://www.huaweiblog.de/news/huawe...anleitung-neu/)?
Edit: I can confirm this method works. I now have GMS on my MatePark Wifi (UK) using the HiSuite and the method linked. All I did was swap installing LZPlay by OTG by using HiSuite.
Good afternoon all,
How we can update google play services. I try to do it by downloading the apk file but the machine hangs and exist the installation.
Any idea ?
GMS installed on UK Matepad Pro WiFi
As also mentioned in the article. I used https://www.huaweiblog.de/news/huawei-google-installieren-anleitung-neu/ to get GMS installed.
I did factory reset as the first attempt without reset did not work for the LzPlay part.

I have the MatepadPro wifi version (global not the Chinese version)
I tried a lot of different methods, non of them works, I still get error notifications, I solved this by disabling the Google play services, but now I get "Device is not Play Protect certified".
I'll try your method if it still works.
update: not working.
I have the same issue, with my official MatepadPro wifi no method works, I always factory reset and have tried four methods and none result in working GMS.
I think we will need to wait for a working solution for non chinese Matepad pro's......

I managed to install, but with lots of repeated resets in a few hours.
As mentioned in the video, you can't add another G account after activating the play store. So you need to add all your accounts from the beginning.
- I found that G News, G Duo and interestingly MS Authenticator does not work.
- Backing up your device to your G account is also disabled.
My other applications works well. If I find other exceptions will share.

Mine is international version and worked. Try again and do all steps mentioned in the video (sorry forum doesn't let me give the link for the video)
Trick: Check "Device Id" app frequently after losing device id, stop reinstalling (i think the 7th apk) when it shows the id back and continue to next step. I didn't stop once that step and had to repeat everything from start.

What is your version? I'm thinking to buy it in Italy.
I am from Czech Republic. I have it from official Huawei store. 6 GB RAM, 128 GB, LTE
I used the same method but the LZPlay app stated it doesn't support my device. I am using Matepad LTE (global) version. Can anyone help?
As the Release of the MatePad Pro is scheduled for 25.05.2020 in Austria (according to MediaMarkt and Saturn Webpages) I am wondering if this method still works. I am currently thinking about getting it either in Austria or Italy (as you get the Type Cover and the Pen for Free).
My second question is the use of the notifications some Apps use. Are the working or do I need another How-To for that and loose the Google Play Store and opt for another Store like Aurora?

Problem installing google gms mate 30 pro 5G china emui 10.1

Hi everyone I have a huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G LIO-AN00 Chinese and I made the transition from EMUI 10 to 10.1 but I discovered a problem. As soon as I install google play service to put google services, the phone signals me `` error in uninstalling google play service '' therefore I cannot proceed with the installation and I have tried in every way to downgrade the firmware to return to the EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.205 but nothing to do has happened to any of you?
Uníntall beta profile, using HiSuite to downgrade to EMUI 10.1 and install GG. Do not wipe/reset factory after update to 10.1
Exactly what problem you are facing and may I know is it beta update or stable update.

Friend hello and thanks for the reply but to exit the beta test which procedure should I do? However, I have already formatted and reset because I thought it was a problem caused by the update therefore I imagined that formatting would have solved the problem. I tried to do the downgrade procedure with Hi Suite but without leaving the beta test and it didn't work it doesn't make me go back to the previous stable version.

Mate 30 Pro install GMS Help

Hi everyone. I had reset my phone settings and to my dismay, my google playstore and stuff are wiped as well. I had downgraded my firmware 3-4 times and the last one I can get from HiSuite is 10.0.0.217
- I had tried using Lzplay method, but when I click google playstore sign in button, it does not work
- I had tried using Hisuite proxy but it always mention unable to connect to Hisuite, asking me to check firewall (I had allowed those app to go through in fact)
- Tried Googlefier but playstore just auto close when I press on it.
- I do not have USB thumb drive to flash a lower version of EMUI for my mate 30 pro
- Tried Dualspace but still looking to sideload GMS
Is there by chance any way I can solve this issue? Thanks in advance
I had managed to resolve it using factory restore (I learned the hard way of using proxy to flash the oldest version but eventually factory restore does the trick)
Thank you so much for @bender_007, microG & EloYGomeZTv for the awesome guide

Anyhow. I'm replying to my own comment for future readers. I was able to downgrade my Mate 30 Pro to 10.0.0.134. Unfortunately, googlefier wouldn't work. The worst part is that if you downgrade from 11 to 10, your phone completely looses USB connection to PC and you loose fast and super fast charge. Normal charge was slower than a turtle. So, I went back to 11.0.0.188 (the version I was at before downgrade) to get fast charge and USB working again. Needs to be the same version you were at to get it working again. I'll live without Google. But my next phone, unless HUAWEI has Google, I'm switching to a different brand. I need working notifications. Hope info helps.

Software install failed when trying to downgrade

I know many folks have tried to downgrade and there are many people with suggestions to downgrade Mate 30 pros.
Mine is a LIO-L29, region C637, with firmware 11.0.0.215, using Android 10, but after 9 attempts, however, none have worked. I always receive the Software install failed after about 45 minutes of downloading and I installing a previous version.
I have followed the instructions to the dot by systems hacks (
):
I downloaded HiSuite 11.0.0.510, downloaded HiSuite Proxy, from firmfinder.ml, I selected LIO-LGRP2-OVS-10.0.0.134, LIO-L29-CUST 10.0.0.6(C636), and LIO-L29-PRELOAD 10.0.0.1(C636R8), as those were the ones matching my phone.
I add the roms to HiSuite Proxy, start HiSuite 11.0.0.510, and it allows me to downgrade to my selected rom, 134.
So far so good. I wait the necessary 45 minutes, HiSuite tells me the update was complete, and every freaking time, I receive the Software install failed on my phone after about 4% of trying to verify the update.
I have tried using windows 7 and windows 10.
Am I the only one getting this message? Is my current version (11.0.0.215) not downgradable? Am I doing something wrong?
Is there any other way to try to downgrade?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!!
same issue here. seems like once we are at 11.0.0.215 theres no coming back. Will sell this phone, cant live without native GMS as majority of my needed apps needs native GMS
Is that a fact? Is there no way back from 215?
Can anyone confirm that it is NOT possible to downgrade from firmware version 11.0.0.215?

qualquer solução de downgrade 11.0.0.215? Fiz cerca de 15 tentativas com vários roms, e quando chega a 4% de verificação de atualização, dá um erro.
solution downgrade 11.0.0.215 ?
I made about 15 attempts with several roms and when it reaches 4% update check, the error.
today the update for 11.0.0.236 arrived, would it be good to update?
have you tried downgrading to an earlier EMUI 11 version like 11.0.0.151 for example?
That doesn't work either, I tried it. So what it seems is that from 11.0.0.215 onwards (mine has 11.0.0.230 now) you cannot downgrade EMUI on Mate 30 Pro, for any version whatsoever.
When it comes to P40 Pro though, it seems you can still do it, no matter what version of EMUI you have installed.
Question: Will hackers be able to get around this? Or is it that because Mate 30 Pro is a phone with more than 2 years, they won't even be working on it..
