.....or you could flash the Indian or EU variant? I'm using the Indian and I have no issues.

It's actually missing AOD

guys, I flashed the EU build with no issues. Granted, the oneplus 8t has been out for a month. I'm going to speak for myself and thank the devs for assisting me with the conversion that we have now. We're dealing with tons of patchwork and limited resources. Patience, people. =)

Verizon Availability?

I currently have the Pixel 2. Am looking for an upgrade!
There aren't too many phones on the Verizon network in the US that allow an unlockable bootloader. I am hopeful that the newest OnePlus phone will. Does anyone have any information to confirm or deny that this phone will be available on Verizon with full 4G function?
Thanks!
I'm hoping too, want to replace my P3XL with something that has a larger screen, but hate Samsung's UI. Fingers crossed!! I believe the leaked "specs" on the Oppo site last week showed it as having the proper bands, BUT as we all know it has to be allowed by Verizon before we can really use it
I bought a unlocked oneplus 6t and put my sim card from Verizon in it but had no call service so I went to the verizon store and asked them about it I told them that the bootloader was unlocked they said don't care so the gave me a new sim card still no go so they let me talk to a tech guy they did some stuff and bam it was up and running. So I hope we can do it with the 7 pro on Verizon.
I would be coming from pixel 2 XL. Bought the non carrier specific variant from Google store, not from Verizon, and put my SIM card in it, and it works great on Verizon's network, without the locked down bootloader. I'm hoping the same can be done with this device. Looks very tempting as an upgrade.
I am in the same boat, this device based on a few of the leaks I've seen and concepts, looks absolutely amazing. I completely forgot OnePlus is not compatible with Verizon and although I am not hopeful the new release will support Verizon's bands, I would buy this device 100% if Verizon supports it. :fingers-crossed:
I'm hoping we can believe the pre-order Oppo page as it lists all the same bands as the 6T..........problem is, there is the same typo in the list of bands as on the 6T page so I'm guessing they just copy/pasted. So we still don't know for sure.

Precisely - why would OnePlus want to shoot itself in the foot? Breaking Verizon compatibility with the 7 Pro would, in fact, be doing exactly that. To be honest, merely the 3a (if not the 3a XL) are rather large (pardon the pun)
problems for the 7 Pro as it is - and for me, Verizon compatibility is not an issue at all - I'm on the T-Mobile half of Tracfone, and I'm not looking to go anywhere (I'm quite happy where I am service-wise).
Problem #1 - Neither Pixel 3a has a Notch. (At all.) That can't be said of the OnePlus 7 Pro - or 6T, for that matter. Even the 3a XL is - straight-up - $479 (migrating without trade-in (Just Black)). Cheaper than the 7 Pro or 6T, or any Samsung phone (that includes the S9, or even Note 9 - both of which would stick me with a notch). While I would not *mind* OneUI, I don't like being stuck with a notch. OneUI is not the problem; the notch, however, is.
Problem #2 - There *is* such a thing as Too Much Phone, What features do you *yourself* actually *use* on your phone? The very reason why I don't look for wireless charging is that I have it *now* (the S7 Snapdragon phones - such as my S7 - support it) - do I use it? No - therefore, why do I need it? USB charging - which the Pixel 3a and 3a XL, like my S7, has today - is supported - and is a feature I use.. The camera - even, if not especially in any flagship - and this *does* include the Pixel 3a/XL - is overkill, to put it bluntly. Why overpay for a feature I would barely use? (And I don't take selfies - at all.)
How do you figure that the 7 pro has a notch? Pretty sure that's its big draw is that it doesn't have a notch or cutout of any sort.
True, Pro has no notch!

He probably added the APN for Verizon. You have to do that when you put in a new SIM sometimes.
Livestream over.......and we still don't know. No mention of Verizon
UPDATE: Gizmodo says it'll work on all carriers except Sprint.....: https://gizmodo.com/oneplus-7-pro-review-stunning-all-screen-design-thats-1834738811
Two places now saying it'll work with Verizon
https://www.theverge.com/2019/5/14/...ile-announcement-release-price-specs-features
and
https://oneplus.gadgethacks.com/news/everything-you-need-know-about-oneplus-7-pro-0195362/
I think it's confirmed to be working with Verizon on their website, also now I'm kinda considering waiting because OnePlus may release an even more beefier version later in the year.
Also with the pricing, Flagship Killer has become just another Flagship device.
One Plus confirmed by chat with me it will work with Verizon in the US

Don't think so, according to OnePlus website it has cdma bands but even if it has to be registered as cdma-less it's no big deal. 6T worked flawlessly on verizon's network! And yes the OnePlus website confirms it works on Verizon!

If this is the first CDMA-less device on your Verizon number, yes I believe you will need to chat/call VZW. I won't need to since it was already set up for my 6t for the SIM I'll use in my 7 Pro. I think it's based on the number, not the account as I have other family on my plan that have CDMA radios.

GM1910 or GM1913 in Australia?

Hey guys!
I'm in Australia, and looking at 2 versions of the OP7pro.. A GM1910 with flashed OS, or the GM1913 which i understand is the official international version.
Is there any risk with either? I'm assuming they both have the correct bands and should be no issues.
Thanks in advance for any help :good:
I bought the GM1910 via ebay, and everything works fine.
It comes with OOS flashed.
As far as I know the Chinese version GM1910 and international versions all have the same bands. American variant is the only one that has different (more) LTE bands. You can switch to OOS from HOS by simply placing OOS update zip to sdcard, going to OTA update menu and run a local upgrade. I got mine(8+256) from the offical Chinese Oneplus website for about an equivalent of 655 USD tax and shipping (China domestic shipping) included.
I got the 1910 with hos. I flashed oos on it and it's been great. Only issue I have is no volte or vowifi
Got the GM1910 too on Boost/Telstra. OOS 9.5.8 is going awesomely
those with the gm1910, do you have wifi issues with custom kernels and havoc?
GM1917 here, works perfectly. I got it from the US store using Shopmate to forward to Australia.
Google Pay working?
Hey guys, I am planning to buy the OP7 pro GM1910 but got a question. After flashing with OOS all the SafetyNet features are working properly? I mean Google Pay works with no issues? I am worry I will not be able to use Google Pay or even download Netflix as it happens when flashing with Lineage OS or similar, thanks.
1910 here, everything works fine on Optus, including Google pay ect as asked above me.
Oh that sounds great, another quick question. What about the OTA updates, security patches and OS updates are they arriving with no issue? Or do you need to flash it again when a new OS update arrive? I just read that One Plus is actively updating their OS to do some improvements on the 7 Pro

I've tried the ZenFone 6 and have always ended up back at the OP7 pro, the edges aren't aggressive with the curves, but there there, and definitely not annoying. With a case on it you can easily hold the phone without touching the screen while watching a video ECT. It's good ?

Yes, I've had this with Smurf kernel.
You should flash the wifi fix version or in the Smurf kennel config file, apply wifi fix and then flash the kernel again.

Should I get the OnePlus 7T T-Mobile or 7 Pro for best root experience / custom ROMs?

Hello all,
I'm on T-Mobile and trying to get away from the hell that is Samsung. I'm looking at OnePlus 7T T-Mobile, or 7 Pro.
It looks like the "root community" is more active on 7 Pro, and my fear is that the "7T T-Mobile" will give me trouble when unlocking bootloader and installing custom ROMs.
7 Pro seems to be very close in specs and has just looking at the ROMs section here makes it look like it has a more active community.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you.
If you mean 7 Pro (non carrier variant) then definitely go for it.
Not because there is more development, but also because I'd avoid any carrier variant of any phone.
If push comes to shove, you can always convert the TMO version to international. Easy and works like a charm.
Go for 7 Pro. Nothing beats the no notch full screen!!
Coming back to OnePlus with a OP 7 Pro from a Galaxy S10+ and I highly agree with the above statements. No carrier phones, OnePlus 7 Pro for the win!

Can you explain this a little? I'm actually looking at the 7 Pro on Swappa and the price difference from the TMobile version to the unlocked version is pretty significant. If I buy one that says T-Mobile unlocked, am I to assume it is sim-unlocked and can be converted?
I would only recommend doing so if and only if you are familiar with flashing rom/twrp/root and know what you are doing. If you have decided to buy a T-Mobile model, just make sure that it is fully network unlocked (you can test it with other carriers sim) and do the conversion first then unlock bootloader using the international model version method. I myself bought a refurbished T-Mobile version of oneplus 7pro for quite cheap and converted it to the international version. It has since then became an international model without any drawbacks. Dual sims is working, all custom roms are working and every mods that works on the global model will work on the T-Mobile converted model. The best part is after you convert to global, it will always stay global no matter which roms you flashed unless you revert it back.

Pretty much..I would check first before you decide to keep it. Also with the branded phones I would make sure it's not still under contract, stolen or not paid off. Something to think about
Also what the guy above me said is pretty much what I was going to say
The 7T Pro doesn't have a TWRP that can flash to the system. So you're stuck with using fastboot to flash ROMs. If you don't wanna do that, buy a 7 Pro

Yes I've been flashing since the original Droid. Haven't had a phone I could flash since my pixel xl though. I'll make sure and get an unlocked t-mobile phone. There are no limitations after the conversion? I feel like I was reading people who converted the 6T had issues with safetynet and nfc payments. All clear here?
Thanks guys. Got a sim unlocked t-mobile 7 pro coming from swappa.

Will flashing a GM1917 rom on a GM1915 make it think its a 1917

Recently got moved to AT&T from tmobile and now AT&T is claiming my device in incompatible because they are opportunistic. I have all but one 3g band and one 4g band so it in theory should work aside from their device whitelist. If I could change the phone to a GM1917 there is a chance the network would accept it.
My phone is already rooted and I can easily flash a new rom but would like to know if doing so would make a difference before I go through that ordeal and loss of data.
Will a rom change what the phone thinks it is or not? Thanks for any help!
No. I have YAAP flashed and it still says GM1915. AT&T probably checks the IMEI and sees it's a GM1915 and denies you VoLTE. You could fool them by changing your IMEI but discussion of that is not allowed and IT IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL, so DO NOT do it.

It doesn't matter if the ROM shows a different model if the network doesn't see it that way. You still DON'T get VoLTE. Don't show me an enabled checkbox to prove it. I've been there and it doesn't work.

I put mine on the beta channel release. Coming from a P6P, using straight talk, it would not accept the sim.
Called Straight talk, which was useless. They said I had to buy a new sim card. Saw on a thread here that the
beta channel rom fixed it. Sure enough! After reboot, the sim card worked!

I wouldn't hold your breath. They either chose horrible hardware, don't know how to fix it, or won't because we will buy a new Pixel. With that being said, I actually think that the 7 Pro is an improvement over the 6 pro. My battery and performance is dramatically improved because of the updated Tensor chip and I don't have the cell standby bug that plagued me in the 6 pro.

This isn't the full release notes.
That article from notebookcheck.net referencing the Google Blog only concerns the "Android Feature Update", which is for GMS Android users. There is also a "Pixel Feature Drop" which Pixel users will likely get tomorrow. Plus there will likely be other "fixes" and whatnot.

I am in 5G unsupported country and I am using physical SIM I have tried to disable DSDS but it didn't seem to stick. I have tried with stock and beta QPR1 same result. Which custom kernel would you recommend? I think the issue is with the radio and the Samsung Shannon 5300G. I am not sure if there is a radio firmware I could try.
"I am in 5G unsupported country"
I fail to understand the complaints from people who live in "unsupported" countries!
Why would you even consider buying ANY phone that is unsupported in any way?
The fault is yours not Googles! YMMV

Probably because they wanted a pixel but Google only officially sells phones in like 4 countries (exaggerating but probably not by much). I want phones available outside of the USA all the time but my wonderful carrier (verizon) and to a degree the other carriers as well suck and want big money to certify the ability to use their towers (bands). Stuck mainly with iSheep, Samdung, One Plus (already settled) and Google (constant hardware problems).
It will be difficult for me to make you understand anything since you fail to understand simple things like why anyone would pick a Google phone instead of another brand. Anyway I had Nexus and Pixel phones in the past and they have worked just fine. I was very well aware 5G and VoLTE don't work and I was not after these features. I would be perfectly fine with just 4G. Mine Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 2 XL worked flawlessly. I might have a faulty hardware I am not sure at this point. If you could not help me at least don't blame me for my choices, the money I have spent are mine not yours. Like I have said I know since the beginning some of the feature would not work and this was a risk I was willing to take since I wanted a "clean" android and rootable + unlocked bootloader (there are not many phone manufacturers offering such features). I was not expecting the Pixel to not support any well established telecom standards. Aside from that I live in Europe and I bought the phone from neighboring country. It is not from Japan or US/Canada with different bands.
@xpact , it might be your phone or possibly faulty modem hardware. I am in the US using the 7P7 (rooted, unlocked) without any issues (I keep 5G off) 99% of the time. Once in a while I have to restart my phone or turn airplane mode on and off because I would randomly lose service. Its pretty rare though and even less now after the November update.
