[Q] Where is Fuss???

I dont knw if i should be asking this or not but where is this guy??

There is so Much Fuss about Fuss...Where is he???
Look at dhiru...working day and night to get stable cm9.. Vishal fighting and asking for help to get a kernal v3.0.. Vurrut also tryng his besst...
But...the question..where is FUSS??? Is he aive or what..

We don't know and he will appear when he wants. The thing is, we don't pay the devs anything so we can't do anything about it. There is no point in complaining that devs made empty promises, they don't owe us anything, what can we say? I feel it is also wrong to keep on spamming devs about kernel 3.0. Yes it may make a stable cm9. However, devs need the time and resources and it doesn't seem too easy to port kernels. So there is no need to pester the devs. Though fuss hasn't been showing his face, he may either be building something for us, or doing nothing, we can't do anything about it. There isnt much point in complaining about devs I'm afraid. Put yourself in their shoes...

Agreeed...i am spellbound to see vishal getting support as well as being criticised for asking UC team to help dhiru..but since vurrut has made a cm9 kernl..cant he actually help dhiru?? i hv not commented evn a single tym..theres no use adding fuel to fire..as far as fuss goes..m sad that people donate for somone and dat person goes on a leave.!!

Ha ha ha...poor i9100 s2 members ...!! Actually I am quite happy because when people were donating phone to fuss I almost did everything to convince people not to donate fuss as he is just a new in development. But as he had ported ICS sdk people were mad behind him for ICS development & everyone criticized me that time. And now look...where is fuss...!!! He made miui based on cm7 but all we know that JP007 did remaining 90% of work. Just few days ago he released an ICS sm9 based rom but u can clearly see that it was themed cm9 rom of Dhiru. Nothing new in that rom. Donation to fuss is a lesson to those people who dont want to look development history of a perticular developer & blindly believe who make fake promises.

I totally agree with you. I9100 G community will regret like us. Seem like donation is almost done.Fuss is sure very happy with his free phone.

Dont take me in wrong way but I am not agree with u. People are criticizing me because they feel that I am spamming the thread of UC kernel. But I only know one thing that we all donate a phone in expectation that developer will work on those thing for which phone has been donated to them. But if developer is working on something else then cant we have right to tell them what we want...?? Its not that we are paying for them for development. Its about promises & expectations of developer & people who donate them.

Sure go ahead...! Its not a matter of donated money. Its about trust that member showed on him.

I said I will bring MIUI when I came to this device and of course most of the work was done by other people. I really would like to help you in CM9 but I never said I can manage it and I can not fix the bugs that are in it now. And its the same as always you guys can´t read clearly ^^ I said to the people in the S2G community I will bring them MIUI and there was not a word about CM9!

I said I will send ot to the person who needs it.. I don´t want money for the phone we just the money for shipping because its very expensive
I already said that I can´t do anything atm for the sl communitiy but nobody answered :/
Its laying here in an edge close to my pc and nothing happens with it

Thanx for intimating us. I think We should ask Dhiru as he is in touch with all developers who are working on cm9 & especially kernel 3.0. I will PM Dhiru about this.

Depens to the country... f.e. if the otheruser lives in germany its very cheap and I will pay it.
I dont know how expensive it is to ship one to india or something like this but its nit cheap

We need to make a correct decision this time, I mean a really proper one. Ask developers (especially Dhiru) who they think can really help in our phone development. And before sending the phone out, ask that particular dev whether he will really commit himself to the development, IMO it is better to have a committed dev rather than a recognized one but with a little time with our phone.
Btw, big thanks to Fuss for all the things that you have done to our phone, and I wish you future success with whatever phone you are developing into

It either means he will not run away with a phone donated to him because it's bad or he will not run away with a donated phone he doesn't even need. I think it's the 2nd one

im running it on my gnexus now and it sucks haha the OS is great , but still slow, missing essential stuff, etc.. should be better on next releases

I might as well start practicing that ROM building project. It'll be harder than I expected, since it's not my Galaxy Nexus but... screw this, my Xoom needs life.
Also, it's a developer preview. It's so developers can build apps for the OS's release in 2014. It isn't a ROM or even a consumer preview.

According the the ubuntu website, some one with the name ~smartboyhw is porting it to the Xoom

im trying the ro building project to, however i dont have a galaxy nexus and im having compilation issues lol, however real development for me wont start until april, my final year at uni got to do my dissertation otherwise im in on this!

Next Steps to ICS ROMs

I want to start off with I am not a dev. I am merely a member of the community that wants to see progress forward toward more amazing ROMs for the Tbolt. The other thread about a new base got closed so I wanted to open this so that productive discussion could continue. I hope that the community can come together and continue to produce the quality ROMs that I've found here in the past. As I said, I'm not a dev but if there's a way for me to contribute please let me know.

Santos has put out many different great roms. Also heard ziggy has said that when the source is dropped he will make a new kernel. So that's good news. Not many devs are left as the phone is old and Santos is about the only one deving the new ics update. If the source drops might have to get another bolt to play with. I like what he did with the leaked update. Maybe once the source is released some of.the old.devs might wanna.tinker. and make a Rom for old time sakes.

From the files that I grabbed after doing the OTA I have a base OTA ROM working now, yeah me. I am going to debloat this thing now....I forgot what VZW's ICS looked like.
I am still having issues with it though, sometimes it just starts to lag a lot. As soon as I get passed the setup stuff I can check root and gets some logcat's to see what is going on.

fyi, Santod's RC6 is pretty good, it is Desensed and it is really fast. So far so good, might stick with this while I play with creating my own.

Good to hear on the base front and thanks for the recommendation on the RC6 definitely going to check it out

If anybody has questions about developing their own ROM based on the OTA, you can go ahead and ask me. My ROMs based off of the OTA are MacekMod Mecha Rebirth and Galaxy Clone (galaxy clone rebase is still in the works, dont think I have forgotten about ti )

I had headed over to your thread to download a fresh ROM for my old Thunderbolt (I've moved on, but I like keeping it up to date), but the thread is closed and the links removed. I had meant to grab it a week ago, but kept forgetting, and now it seems some drama has caused it to be removed.
So now, I see in the development section that there's barely anything modern for ICS besides that stock one that Santos has. And I'm definitely not going to register at yet another forum to access a couple extra ROM's.
Moral of the story is... I am definitely looking forward to seeing more than one solid ICS ROM here for the Thunderbolt

Well, those "couple" other roms I have, are actually 7 other roms aside from the 4 stock ones.
Of course nobody will force you to join the site or to use those roms.
It just seems to me anyway, that it may be a bit silly for someone who wants more ICS options, to not go where those options are, just because they don't want to join a FREE forum.
Anyhow, I wish you all the best on your hopes for more ICS roms for the Bolt coming here.

No need to get touchy, it's nothing against you... lol. The Thunderbolt is one of my old phones that I only use for media purposes, so it's not very high priority. If nothing happens here, I'm sure I'll eventually break down and head over there to grab one.
I'm just tired of registering at a bunch of different places just to grab a ROM, that's all. I pretty much stick to being registered here and at Rootzwiki these days, and I'll grab stuff from sites that don't require registration on rare occasion. Just a quirk of mine, that's all. No offense intended

New to RAZRHD, but where's the support/development for this phone?

Just got this bad boy this past weekend, and I'm loving this phone. Got it rooted and was anxious to see what ROMS/customizations were out for this phone, but it seems there's just a handful of select ROMS that are available. It's been 5 to 6 months that the phone came out. Is everyone just on another band wagon? Is it too early? Really hoping that development picks up! Cheers to all the devs out there for all their hard work and dedication. I wish I could develop.

Well, it just got a BL unlock. Be patient and hold tight, OR get into the kitchen and start cooking!

There will be a few ROMs put out, but I am willing to bet that this phone won't see much. Yeah, we got the BL unlocked and root finally, but 5 months after the phone came out. You have a host of killer new phones coming out any day now, and so a lot of Devs won't see the need to spend a bunch of time on a phone that is already on the way out...
My fear is that it is too little too late, to get much Dev love, and I don't blame them.

I have a pretty decent PC that I can use to compile a ROM, but I am not a code monkey. hehe
But if there is a kitchen app that works on Win7 x64 that I can take the stock ROM and use the tool to modify it and add things and boost performance, I am all for that.
If someone wants to point me in the right direction, I will take a crack at it.

Looking for testers!!!

I am looking for beta testers that will test out my first ever rom! its basically a simple rom based off of Scroslers base(don't know if that makes sense lol). what i did was read my good internet friend Edgehood's thread about building your own rom which you can find in the development part of the Verizon SGS3 forums. I read every instruction carefully and came up with my own rom. the rom is called AVID ROM. as i said it is very very VERY basic. no framework changes or anything like that just plain old basic. good thing is that a lot of bloatware has been removed..really all of vzw's stuff is gone. i did use Scroslers rooted base so its rooted already.there are build.prop tweaks as well as initd.prop tweaks but i don't wanna get into that until i have testers that say everything is good. now truth is i want to add A LOT more but im taking it slow like Edgehood said. it does have Sbreen94's custom Zeus Kernel as well(hope he doesnt mind). I am open to all and any help that can be given to me by devs and testers. this is just something fun for me but if yall like it and if i could get some help on doing other things like aroma and even better tweaks and framework...then i can consider building roms and making them the peoples way so with that being said if anyone would like to test my first beta build of AVID ROM please pm me and i will get back to you ASAP. unfortunetly i live in AZ and its 3:45 in the morning so im actually gonna catch some zzzz's right now but i will get back to you later in the day. thank you for reading in advance.
