I've found a method that requires ADB. NO ROOT NEEDED.
Step 1: Enable Dual Messenger for an existing app (e.g. WhatsApp).
Step 2: Enable USB Debugging and connect your device to your computer.
Step 3: Open command prompt in your adb folder.
Step 4: Type
Code:
adb shell
Step 5: Type
Code:
pm list users
Step 6: In the resulting list, find the user named "DUAL_APP" and get its number. For example, the number is 95 on my device:
Code:
UserInfo{95:DUAL_APP:20000030} running
Step 7: Type
Code:
exit
Step 8: Copy your desired apk file to your adb folder.
Step 9: Type
Code:
adb install --user 95 desired_app.apk
Remember to replace "95" with whatever number you saw in Step 6.
Wait for the process to finish. A SUCCESS message should be displayed.
The app of your choice will now be installed in Dual Messenger.

Yes!!
Here is my guide to walk you through it.
http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-a...-step-root-walkthrough-huawei-fusion-2-a.html
1.*How do I root my device?
Step 1: Download this file.https://www.dropbox.com/s/pr70fitqpq9c4l6/Huawei-Fusion-2-Recovery-Root.zip
Step 2 ut the Huawei Fusion 2 Recovery Root.zip on your desktop.
Step 3 : Download and install "Huawei Fusion 2 U8665 ADB drivers.rar" from here*https://www.dropbox.com/s/z70julkgz1c9hss/Huawei-Fusion2-U8665-adb-drivers.rarInstall by opening .rar and running "DriverSetup.exe".
Step 4 :Make a folder called "Huawei Fusion 2" on your desktop.
Step 5 :Extract Zip from step 2 into your fusion 2 folder.
Step 6 :Turn off phone.
Step 7 :Reboot fastboot by holding Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for 10-20 seconds.(It will freeze at ATT logo. This is fastboot, it's a freeze to be happy about)
Step 8 :Connect phone to computer.
Step 9 : Open the folder you made and open the extracted zip (if you haven't extracted do this now)
Step 10 : Double click "Run Me"
Step 11 :Type "fastboot devices" and hit enter this will confirm if you are connected via fastboot (you are) if your connected it will list some numbers and letters and the words fastboot next to the numbers and letters.
Step 12 :Now flash modified recovery by typing "fastboot flash recovery recovery.superrecovery.img" into the "run me" window and hitting enter.
Step 13 :Unplug after the process runs says finished. And gives you the total time.*
Step 14 :Remove back of phone and take out battery for 10-15 seconds.
Step 15 :Reinsert battery hold volume up and power button simultaneously until it boots into recovery (15-20 seconds of holding both buttons)
Step 16 :Reboot Device by selecting the "reboot device" option with the volume buttons (it should already start with reboot highlighted) so just press the power button to reboot.
Step 17 :Grab a beer and relax as your device reboots with SuperSU (main root app)!Enjoy and thanks to robotic buddy for initial guide and download links, also special thanks to RFE for the 1st Root method on the Huawei Fusion 2!
*********IF IT SAYS WAITING FOR DEVICE, IT IS ONE OF FOUR THINGS; 1) YOU DID NOT PUT THE PHONE INTO FASTBOOT CORRECTLY GO AHEAD AND REPEAT STEP 7 THEN RETRY, 2) YOU SIMPLY NEED TO UNPLUG AND REPLUG PHONE AND WAIT APPROXIMATELY 25-30 SECONDS (SHOULD HAPPEN IMMEDIATELY UNLESS DRIVERS WHERE INSTALLED INCORRECTLY), 3) INCORRECTLY INSTALLED ADB DRIVERS, REINSTALL THE ADB DRIVERS FROM STEP 3, 4) YOU DID NOT NAME THE FOLDERS CORRECTLY, OR DIRECTED THE CMD TERMINAL TO THE WRONG FOLDER, MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW EVERY STEP TO A T INCLUDING CAPITALIZATIONS, SYMBOLS, AND SPACES OF FOLDERS AND CMD PROMPTS*********

Will this work on u8652 ? do you need specific files for this phone?
Thanks BK
Try this,
Step 1. http://androidforums.com/huawei-son...nmod-7-2-zad-rom-v-1-5huawei-u8650-sonic.html
Download and unzip the "Drivers Huawei (adb drivers)" to your desktop and install the drivers. Also download and unzip the "Custom CM Recovery" to your desktop as you will need it later.
Step 2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321582
Create a folder named DooMLoRD-v4 on your desktop and Download DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip and unzip it to that folder.
Put your phone into USB debugging mode and run the "runme" batch file in the DooMLoRD-v4 folder on your desktop. When done your phone should be rooted.
Step 3. Open the Custom CM Recovery folder and run the "Instalador" batch file
you now should have a rooted AT&T Fusion with ClockworkMod Recovery installed on it.
Step 4. http://androidforums.com/huawei-son...nmod-7-2-zad-rom-v-1-5huawei-u8650-sonic.html
Scroll down and you will find two custom roms that you can download and install on your phone with CM Recovery. Before you install open up the "system" folder and open the build.prop file in notepad once opened go to edit and in the drop down you should see a replace option. Replace "u8650" with "u8652" so that in your info your phone will have the right model number and save it.

I fist of all would like to thank you for your time and effort. I hit runnme and got some interesting things coming across the terminal
something about adb oudated
rom is read only
superuser failed to install
I wish i could copy the terminal data so you could see whats going on.
Is this supposed to work with 2.3.6 android?
I am going to try to find another driver and try again if anything comes to mind let me know.
Thanks BK
reloaded driver
Ok I reloaded the driver which was ok all along. Reran the doomlords app and this is what I get on the terminal.
mount: permission denied ( are you root? )
system\xbin\busybox cannot open for write
busybox not found
link failed
failed to copy superuser
Is this permission to write needing the bootloader to be unlocked? If so how do I do that?
Thanks BK
Possibly the Wrong root method..

On an Asus Zenpad 3s 10 Z500KL tablet, RU Unistaller Pro has been wrongly used to freeze an app named "ZenUI Launcher". After restart, only notification bar and Settings work. I need to run RU Unistaller Pro to defrost "ZenUI Launcher".
How can I run RU Unistaller Pro in this situation (via ADB, or any other solution)?
Or if you have any other solution, please guide me.
Sincere thanks in advance

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/4567904/how-to-start-an-application-using-android-adb-tools
You can also use a terminal emulator app or the terminal emulator that is built into TWRP to run adb shell commands(adb shell, not regular adb). Terminal emulator and adb shell are virtually the same thing, they both use the same commands, just remove the "adb" or "adb shell" part from the commands.

You don't have TWRP but do you have root? If your device isn't rooted, terminal emulator won't work.
If you are rooted, install the Terminal Emulator app, open terminal emulator(grant superuser permission when promoted), then type:
su (then press enter)
Then type the am command as described in the link, just change the command to input the name of the actual apk file associated to the app that you want to start, you have to know the actual name of the app package instead of the name of the app as it appears in app drawer or homescreen. I don't know the actual package name of the app(s) you want to start so you will have to figure out the exact command for yourself.

Ok without root, you need to add --user 0 to the am command and you wouldn't have to type the "su" command first before typing the am command, you just type the am command.
So you would add it to the command as follows:
am start --user 0 (then the rest of the command including the proper package name for the app you desire to start)

If terminal emulator doesn't work, install "adb/fastboot 15 second installer" on your PC, then open a terminal on PC, connect your device to PC while the phone is booted into system as you would normally use the device, then type:
adb devices (press enter, if it returns a serial number you're connected)
Then type:
adb shell (press enter)
This will put you in adb shell to run shell commands
Then type:
adb shell (along with the rest of your am command with --user 0 and your app package name)
Hopefully, that works for you.

If Terminal Emulator works for you without root, you can create a script as a batch file (.bat file, select "file" in note editor, then "save as", then "all files", name the file "whateveryouwant.bat) using a note editor on PC with the commands contained in order in the file. Move the created file to your device and store it in the root of your internal sdcard, then run the script by opening Terminal Emulator and typing the command to run your batch file script whenever you want, this can automate the process somewhat.

Tested on H910 fully stock and locked bootloader.
Just Do the following steps.
1. Install Setting Database Editor from Play Store.
2. Open it after installation and change the value of "tether_entitlement_check_state" from "1" to "0".
3. If this line is not present in system table add it from the top label of "+ADD NEW SETTING". (Like in my case i have to add it myself).
4. Next Install adb in your PC and go the folder where adb files are placed.
5. Enable "USB Debugging on your V20".
6. Connect your phone to PC and open command promt in the adb folder.
7. Type " adb devices" to see whether your device is connected or not.
8. If connected , Type "adb shell"
9. Type “settings put global tether_dun_required 0” and press enter.

Hi, I want to extract qcn file of my pixel 3 and followed other steps. After stressful searches, I was almost done with the following links
1) https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/how-to/guide-qxdm-port-activation-pixel-2-xl-t3884967
2) https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-3/help/qxdm-pixel-3-limited-success-help-t3887152
steps I followed
1) bootloader unlock
2) factory image (android 9) from official google
3) Twrp recovery
4) Magisk from link 1
5) Module (Pixel 2 diag port.zip) from link 1
6) Mi5 Qualcomm drivers from link 2
and with that, I got diag port somehow opened but it only gets on MTP connection via USB but no proper detection in QPST. I tried to backup qcn file with partial detection of COM port but it says "checking connection" and then "backup failed no phone attached".
Is there any way for this? I'm really stuck with my mobile network problem. :crying:
P.S: just to make it clear, my question is not for VoLTE or PDC.
Update:-
I managed to get detected properly via Modem port but not in QFIL.
1) Magisk and Module from link 1
2) "QUD.WIN.1.1 Installer-10037.3 Setup" Qualcomm Drivers
3) Put phone in MTP connection
4) Following commands in adb
Code:
adb shell
su
setenforce 0
setprop sys.usb.configfs 1 && setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet_gsi,adb
5) open "QPST Configuration"
6) Add port
7) Add Modem port
With these steps, i get manage to get detected in QPST Download and able to make a backup of "*.xqcn". But after editing and restoring, there is no such change. Am i missing something?

I am assuming that you already have ADB but I am still going to explain how to download it for other users
Step 1 - Download the google platform tools for your operating system from this link - https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Step 2 - Connect your phone to your computer using a usb cable.
Step 3 - On your phone go to: The Settings app --> About phone --> Software Information and tap on the build number 7 times, this will enable developer mode.
Step 4 - Go back to the main section of the settings app and under "about phone" you will see the section "developer options" tap to go into it.
Step 5 - In developer options turn on USB Debugging and authorize your computer on your phone.
Step 6 - On your computer open a command prompt window in the platform tools folder.
Step 7 - Type the command "adb devices" and make sure your phone shows up as recognized.
Step 8 - Type the command "adb shell" to enter the shell.
Step 9 - Type the command "pm list packages" to get a list of all the applications on your phone.
Step 10 - Type the command "pm uninstall -k --user 0 PACKAGE_YOU_WANT_TO_UNINSTALL"
Note: MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE UNINSTALLING OR IT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS
Step 11 - Reboot your phone so the packages are fully removed.
This video by AndroidHowTo details how to do this -
