I has just get a view of here and find many people are search for their first Android tablet. Here I just show you my first android tablet. All the price and function are both perfect.
I'm proud to recommend an 8'' android mid--Cortex A8 1.2GHz, 1080p HD, support 2G/3G Call & SMS.
This tablet has just released by Giayee Shenzhen, also is my first android mid. I choose this mid Just for the 2G/3G Call&SMS supported and powerful 1080p HD video play capability. What's more the price is low.
Also RK2918 can reach up to 1.2GHz insure the system running smoothly, and support all kinds of Android Apps.
RK29′s 3D graphic chip is Vivante GC800, said it is second only to the PV210 integrated SGX540 and even stronger than AMLogic’s Mali400. I experienced several games there, difficult to distinguish it. In fact, the performance of each chip is same.
The main feature is as follow:
Display: 8" TFT display, 1024x768 Capacitance Multi-touch.
CPU: Rockchip RK2918, Cortex A8 1.2GHz
OS: Android 2.3
Memory: 512MB DDR2 + 4GB NAND Flash
Phone feature:Built-in 2G/3G module, with Call & SMS supported
Camera: Front facing 0.3mp, Rear 2.0MP
WiFi: 802.11 b/g
Video:1080P HD paly,Support HTML5 video,Support YouTube and other online video
the feature is just quote from the Giayee.com ,you could find more on the 8inch RK2918 android mid page or contact the skype(giayee).
I hope the article will help you choose a satisfied Android mid.
Hi all. im in the market for a basic tablet for browsing and whatnot while on the sofa in the living room. anyway, i found a MID 1006s that seems to fit my needs and spec requirements, but i hear a lot of reports about them being very crappy. i know the 8" version has a custom rom but its on a different processor. any roms that will work on this one?

Hello all,
I was in thailand and my phone died so I got a cheap $45 tablet to use whatsapp to talk to family and friends. I read asus makes the devices - I'm assuming that someone made this tablet for the company that sold it and that it's a little better than a cheap Chinese tablet quality bc it has had no issues and seems pretty good and was offered by a respected phone company over there. I wanted to upgrade to a newer Rom >4.2, now that I am back in the states.
1.) I had an adnroid stick PC and it seemed like the sticks where all the same chipset and then had roms you could load on them regardless of their brand. Are there universal roms I could look into.
2.) I'm not sure how hard it would be to make a CM rom for this device , but I did see that they have a link to create a build.
I'm going to try one-click, Kingo root, king root, etc to see if I can unlock it so I can turn off the telephony.apk and phone.apk since this one did not have a sim card and was wifi only. The manuf didn't delete those apps so they keep draining the battery looking for service.
Your help is appreciated and thanks in advance!

Hello, good folks!
I managed to softbrick my DPS IQ8 tablet:
1. It doesn't boot, I can only enter into recovery.
2. There is no custom recovery (yeah, I sc***ed up big time).
3. ADB sees it, fastboot doesn't.
4. It tried to make a backup of the system, but it looks like the app didn't created it...
I would like to ask for an image or zip of the original firmware (if there are Hungarians here with such tablet. pls, send me a backup or something). But, if there is a custom firmware that works with machines with the below specifications, that could be helpful too.
Here are the details:
DPS IQ8
It had Android 4.4.2
Manufacturer (according to CPU-Z when the tablet worked): unknown (some Chinese cheap tablet btw)
Screen: 7.85" TFT LCD, IPS TN (1024x768), 5x multitouch capacitive screen
CPU: QuadCore Allwinner A31S Cotex-A7, 1.2 Ghz
GPU: PowerVR SGXMP2
Ram: 1 GB
Rom: 4GB
Wifi: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n
Ports: HDMI, MicroUSB 2.0, MicroSD, MicroSDHC, 3.5mm earphone.
G-sensor.
Also, I managed to open it, and I found that it has this written on the motherboard: inet-q791m-rev01
zeng-gc
2014-03-25
And there are chips with this on them: samsung 425 k484616460 hyko
Thank you for any help!
I currently suffer a VGA quality hidden USB camera which has been upscaled to 720P, the quality is poor, jerky and the app is chinese and full of bugs.
There seem to be some 1080P units available https://ebay.us/wcwg2H using the Novatek NT96658 chipset and a Sony IMX322 image sensor.
The quality of the video is reasonable on this hardware and the H264 compression is much more efficient than my MJPEG based camera.
The playstore is full of good apps which are compatible with this hardware but they are all wifi based as is this camera. This would mean choosing between internet or dashcam which is not what I'm looking for.
I have come across a few dashcams which can connect to a hotspot like the BlackVue units but they insist are slow over wifi and stop recording when accessing the camera over the app. USB is definitely the answer!
Some dash cams support a USB OTG connection for downloading files and maybe a solution.
Has anyone else come across a decent solution? I don't want my headunit recording from a USB camera due to system overheads. My 4GB PX5 head unit is smooth and snappy and I don't want to lose this.
Any ideas?

I just got this one JOMISE 1600P, and it uses Sony IMX415 and H264/H265 so the videos are very detailed and sharp.
Worth to take a look at, can be found on https://www.amazon.com/JOMISE-Reminder-Traffice-G-Sensor-Recording/dp/B08K35PSPZ
