Bluetooth not working after OTA update to 10.5.9 - OnePlus Nord Questions & Answers

I have a OnePlus Nord with unlocked bootloader and stock rom.
Today I updated to OxygenOS 10.5.9.AC01BA via OTA. It downloaded the entire rom (as usual because of root).
As usual, I installed Magisk on the partition before rebooting (As I've been doing for years... it's not the first rooted OnePlus I owned)
After reboot to 10.5.9, my bluetooth isn't working anymore.
It's stuck in a loop where it tries to switch on bluetooth, then off and on again...
I rebooted a lot of times.
I cleared the Bluetooth App data and cache
I wiped the cache partition via recovery.
I tried the bt reset (Settings, System, Reset Options, Reset WiFi Mobile Bluetooth)
Still not working...
I would really like to avoid wiping data :crying:
A logcat extract with a lot of bt errors: https://pastebin.com/urHURjQ8

No problem here, my JBL buds, MiBand and Amazfit, all working fine.

Hi,
Bluetooth is working for me at least on my car.
Android Auto stopped working after the update and USB towards all computers seems to have stopped working
Edit: Wiping cache did it for me

Same problem here. Now cant even disable BT.
Mostly use for mi band4 conection.
Did try some few things, some reserva, BT and data reset settings, at recovery did try wipe cache, but nothing working. Now BT keeps on a cycle of try to BE turned on.
Any advice.?
Can we even do a rollback to 10.5.8?

I'm having bluetooth issues since .9 update too, my jabra 65t keep disconnecting when they worked fine before. Sometimes I can't connect at all either until I restart bluetooth. They probably effed something with the latest bluetooth stability updates.

I'm having issues too with Bluetooth after upgrading to .9
Losing connection with Mi Band and with BT earphones at least once/twice per hour, that's a really annoying issue.

Bluetooth suddenly stopped working, can pair with devices but not connect.

I'm not sure what exactly happened but I've been pairing with my old Nexus through bluetooth for a while now with no problems, and suddenly I stopped being able to connect to it or any other device. I can turn on bluetooth, see devices, and even pair but when I press on a device name to connect it says "connected" for about half a second and then disconnects immediately. Thought it was the Nexus but I am unable to connect to any other devices.
I tried rebooting, un-pair and re-pair, clearing bluetooth cache/data, clearing dalvik, but nothing.
The weird thing is that this actually happened a while back, and when I turned off developer mode it started working again. But now that's not doing anything.
I saw that there are a few old threads about others with bluetooth problems. Has there been a fix for this?
I'm running RR on 6.0.1.
Thanks in advance!
I'm writing a cordova app that was starting bluetooth just fine until, without any known change, it suddenly just hangs and my gui just sits there like duh forever. note 4 android 6 cant root it so ive got the bloat and the upgrade cycle slooowdown

How to install CROMi-X 5.4?

How do I install CROMi-X 5.4? for the Asus Transformer TF700t?
When I tired to install it it went all the way through the install process and when it finished I did the wipe Dalvik Cache like is recommend and the selected Reboot and once it started booting after more then 10 minutes it was still on the booting screen where it shows the Boot up screen with the Asus Logo and that spinning processing symbol.
What File system should I format the Data and Cache and System to?
I was able to successfully install KATKiss 7.1_27 but had to keep messing with it and turning on the WIFI manually because it kept crashing the setup program but eventually got it to be set up.
Thanks.
The time stamp between your posts leads me to believe you are only wiping, not formatting /data between installations. That can cause big problems. If you still have some start over with a full format.
And stick with one of the KatKiss roms. CROMI is a little dated by now...
I want to try CROMI-X to see if it has the same issue with Bluetooth Audio getting out of sync in Youtube and video file play back. I like CROMI-X because it's the Ausu ROM with the Asus File Manager and Program Backup App and it has the normal Icons for Home, Previous Apps and Back button. KatKiss has the double square Icon to stitch between Apps and the single square icon to list all running Apps to me the double square icon should list all the running Apps.
Where can I find a step by step guide to installing the CROMI-X ROM that is more then just
Backup all your Data, Format the Tablet, Flash the ROM, Have Fun?
What File System do I use for DATA, Cache, System?
**CORRECTION** I'm using TeamWin 3.0.2-0 and not 3.0.0-2 like I stated when I first posted this message.
Do I select Wipe Dalvik Cache and Cache after it finishes installing and then select Re Boot, or do I just select Reboot after it installs?
When I Install it I select the first Option at the top of the list of options
"Install with Wipe of Dalvik Cache
RECOMMENDED"
I select the Kernel _that OC 10.6.1.14.10 Modded Kernel v8
I did a format Data Option from the Teamwin Recovery, the one where you have to type yes in order to do the format, the one that takes over an hour to complete.
Gotcha.
A while ago LetMeKnow and I brushed up CROMI-X a little and packaged it with a kernel that supports f2fs. Comes with a step-by-step too.
The installer walks you through the choices.
I recommend to flash it with just /data on f2fs.

I finally got it it to install properly and it's even worse with the Bluetooth Audio Sync Problem plus it has no Flashlight option so I guess I'll just go with KatKiss Nougat if it's the most stable and quick version.
I tried crombi-kk and at first it seed ok no BT Audio Problems until I moved the Tablet to where the BT signal got blocked and the audio started cutting out and then got out of Sync. Maybe it's just the Tablet or the BT Speaker because it also happened on my Cell Phone but not as bad and rebooting the Phone fixed the problem.

What BT standard are your speakers? The TF700 can do BT 3.0 but won't work well with 4.0 or later....
---------- Post added at 08:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:29 PM ----------
I just paired my Bose Soundlink Mini to the TF700 running 7.1.2 and YouTube videos run perfectly. Netflix seems to run perfectly too - maybe you gotta try different BT speakers..
I have no idea, the manual does not specify what version of Bluetooth it is. it's a
Insignia™ - Voice™ Smart Portable Bluetooth Speaker with the Google Assistant built in Model: NS-CSPGASP2.
There's your problem. The TF700 is not BT Smart ready:
Newer laptops, phones, and slates with Bluetooth Smart Ready radios built in will work with previous-generation Bluetooth peripherals. Essentially, if you have a Bluetooth Smart Ready smartphone or notebook, you can still use it to stream podcasts to your Bluetooth 3.0 wireless speaker system or headphones. So no need to throw out those headsets or portable speakers.
On the other hand, Bluetooth Smart peripherals only work with a Smart Ready counterpart. So if you want to take advantage of Bluetooth 4.0’s new low-power capabilities, get ready to go shopping—you’ll need a new Bluetooth Smart Ready phone, computer, or tablet in addition to a Bluetooth Smart accessory or peripheral.
Google: Smart Bluetooth 4.0
Check if you can set your speaker's BT to "normal" or non-power saving mode or some such. Otherwise you're SOL

Always losing bluetooth connection since update

Since the Oreo and Wear OS updates I've had severe connectivity issues which didn't exist beforehand. I thought I had cracked it with a factory reset of the watch and removal + reinstallation of the phone apps...
However for days now my watch hasn't been showing as connected in my phone's bluetooth settings but it has been showing as connected in the Wear OS & Huwaei Wear apps and I had been getting messages on the watch etc so I thought nothing of it. Just now I tried to make a phonecall using the watch and it said the call couldn't be made, check my bluetooth connection. So despite both phone apps saying that I was connected and the phone's BT saying that I was connected (*for a change!) there was some issue. I switched BT off & back on again on the watch and then I could finally make the call.
Buggy!
Is anyone else experiencing these phantom connectivity issues between their watch and phone since the latest updates?
I have the same problem, I did not come to the repair
I have the same problem and i found a temporary solution for it. Switch on and switch off aeroplane mode.
Same problem here. I have the 4G version of the watch and now am always connected in 4G, the bluetooth is indicated by the phone (Huawei Mate 10 Pro) as connected in the system settings, but is not connected neither on the watch nor on Wear OS app.
same problem here
Bluetooth losing connection
Here's the solution:
1) unpair watch from phone
2) delete Bluetooth app's cache on phone
3) reboot phone
4) repair watch with phone
Since I did these steps I have had no issues with Bluetooth connectivity...
Hope it helps you....

Major Bluetooth Issues on 9.5.10 International Version

Long story short have a TMo 7Pro that I converted to the international version. Running firmware 9.5.10.
I have searched the forum, I searched online. I cleared the Bluetooth cache and data. I hard reset the network settings for wifi and Bluetooth on that screen and restarted my phone. I did this twice. I even wiped my phone completely.
The issue is, my Bluetooth keeps turning on and off itself. I have watched it do it. My smartwatch (Fossil Q), wireless earbuds (Jabra 65ts) and car all constantly connect and disconnect from Bluetooth.
Sometimes the Jabras will go, connected, no device detected. My car will connect and disconnect on calls and music.
Help. This is an extremely aggravating issue. Once again I have already hard reset the wireless settings for wifi, Bluetooth and whatever have you and wiped the cache and data for Bluetooth specifically.
Thank you.
I have the exact same, watch, and 9.5.10 (not converted though) and have not had this issue. Maybe try clearing cache partition:
Wipe cache partition
Turn off your device.
Press and hold the Volume down and Power button at the same time.
When the OnePlus logo appears, release the Power button, but continue holding the Volume down button.
At the Password screen, enter the Password or PIN number that you use to unlock your device. When done, tap Ok.
Tap English.
Tap Wipe data and cache.
Tap Wipe cache.
Tap Yes to continue.
Tap Reboot to restart the phone.
Thanks friend, I actually just tried that and no dice. It works for a little while everything I do, but then it starts happening again a couple hours later.

Try this:
Delete your phone profile from your car.
Delete it also from your smartwatch.
Clear cache and data from your phone bluetooth, "forget" both of them from your phone, and reconnect all as new devices.
I hope that works.

Bluetooth Broke 10.0.0.2

It seems the newest update has broken my bluetooth. There is now a device that my phone tries to connect to that doesn't exist. I've cleared all devices from my paired list and it still gives errors trying to connect to a bluetooth address. I can't connect to anything either once it fails to connect to whatever bluetooth device it is trying to pair to. I've tried clearing bluetooth cache and have also reinstalled the update but issue persists. Is there a way for me to delete whatever file stores bluetooth pairings? I am rooted as well.
I figured out the bluetooth device it was trying to connect to so finally got my phone to stop trying to constantly connect to it.
