Orange Fox Recovery Error: Failed to map file. - Xiaomi Poco X3 NFC Questions & Answers

Hi there!
I'm using the new POCO X3 NFC and I'm having trouble flashing Magisk using Orange Fox Recovery while getting this error:
"Failed to map file"
I've followed all steps in the thread to flash the recovery and I'm still getting this problem. First I unlocked my Bootloader, then I flashed TWRP from Fastboot and after that I flashed the .img file using TWRP and booted into Orange Fox. But then I get this issue when flashing Magisk.
Has anyone else face this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you.

You choose the wrong TWRP for flash to mi4c. Probably TWRP version for nougat rom flashed on lollipop rom.
Here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71120584&postcount=9 follow the steps & you'll be fine. Next time doesn't do anything stupid & read all the introductions before mess with your phone.

"FAILED (remote: flash write failure)"

Hello,
I was facing a lot of issues with my YUPHORIA. So, I tried to flash it using the official instructions on official forum using Fastboot.
The flashing got stuck when it was trying to flash the "system" partition. I disconnected the cable and tried the flashing process again.
Now, I am able to flash everything else except "system"
It is giving an error -
"FAILED (remote: flash write failure)"
ADB is not detecting my phone.
QFIL is also showing "No Ports Found"
However, Fastboot is working fine.
I donot have TWRP on my phone as of now.
Please help !
I am having exact same problem. Were you able to find solution for it?
Same issue here
Did you get the final solution?
I cant not flash system.img to my softbricked Yu Yuphoria 5110 even with the latest version of adb and fastboot and even with the -S option! Nothing works! Can't flash only system.img, other images are getting flashed. Pl help!

TWRP 3.3.3.1 Install Error - "size of image is larger than target device"

Hello friends,
On my Pixel XL, I am trying to update my TWRP from 3.3.30 to 3.3.3.1 by installing the .img via TWRP recovery.
However, when I try doing that, I get the error message "size of image is larger than target device".
Anyone know what this means and how to fix this so I can install the updated .img?
Thanks!

Same error while flashing GSI. Im using "fastboot boot orangefox.img" to boot into recovery and I failed to install twrp using the zip.
You can't install the twrp/orangefox img. You have to get the installer (ZIP file) from the official twrp website.

Unable to flash OxygenOS 10.3.3 on Oneplus 6 with TWRP 3.3.1-2

My current Oneplus 6 is wiped. So no OS, but I am able to start fastboot or boot into recovery (twrp-3.3.1-2-enchilada). But I am not able to install OxygenOs, downloaded from the OnePlus website. Everytime I get the following message:
Code:
Installing zip file '/sdcard/OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_045_all_2004142201_bdd6fdc6b6b1477f.zip'
Checking for Digest file...

Error installing zip file '/sdcard/OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_045_all_2004142201_bdd6fdc6b6b1477f.zip'

...done
Sideload failed as well, obviously, so I tried updating TWRP to version twrp-3.4.0-2-enchilada (see if that helps). But after flashing 3.4.0-2 to boot_b using the command `fastboot flash boot twrp-3.4.0-2-enchilada.img`, I am not able to boot into recovery anymore. Everytime I try to restore TWRP by running `fastboot flash boot twrp-3.3.1-2-enchilada.img` I am able to boot into recovery again, but I am not able to successfully upgrade TWRP or installing the Oxygen OS.
Any thoughts? I read so many articles with the same issue on XDA and Stackoverflow, but I tried almost everything without any luck, yet.
You should try msm tool for restore to stock oos

Oneplus update files are not "flashable" and often do not contain a full os. They are meant to be interpreted by the updater app. I would recommend flashable zips made from official files

Read instructions carefully, do not skip android versions.

Failed to load/authenticate boot - can't boot/ flash to recovery

I'm in a bootloop on my Oneplus 6. I can get into fastboot, but can't flash or boot to recovery, as I get the above message. I'm thinking I need to follow the following procedure:
Any help much appreciated.
P.S. Do I need to flash stock rom? I was in the process of flashing LineageOS, but something went wrong when I went to flash the recovery.
Edit: Fixed this issue - i.e. no longer any error - by using
Bootloader error: FAILED (remote: Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error)
Hey, so, I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but I've searched far and wide for something I can do and I have run out of ideas. I tried a custom rom on my Oneplus 6 today and wanted to revert back to my old rom, which led to...

Still can't boot or flash to recovery, though. Will start new thread.
