Call recording app for Mi 10t Lite - which ones work? - Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Questions & Answers

I've tried several call recorder apps on the Play Store but none of them work.
Does anyone know of any that work with this phone?

Rom Xiaomi.eu brings it by default

magisk + axet's call recorder module is the way, if you stay on stock rom without mods there's no apps that works fine

Magisk's Skvalex also works (but paid).

[APP] While waiting for ACR Unchained (Another Call Recorder)...

I'm a happy user of ACR (Another Call Recorder), and was sad to see that the app had to remove some key feature in order to comply with google new policies (no more phone number/contact info, you have to add them manually afterward).
You can read more about that on NNL's blog : https://nllapps.com/apps/acr/google-denies-phone-number-accesss.htm
NLL is planning on releasing an "Unchained" version on other app stores, but this version doesn't exist yet (AFAIK)
So, for those who updated by accident to the new version and want to reinstall the old one, I've made this thread storing the old APK.
This APK was made with Titanium Backup from the official application installed on my phone, which I never updated. It's not modified in any way and should work as expected.
You will have to disable automatic updates from Play Store to prevent future updates.
[Advanced]
For the rooted ones : You can prevent Play Store from knowing about the app (and thus trying to update it) with two methods :
You have Magisk :
Install "Detach" by xerta555
Create a text file named "detach.custom" with only one line : com.nll.acr
Put the file at the root of the sdcard (/sdcard/detach.custom)
Reboot yout phone
Note : This didn't work for me, but was supposed to...
You are used to adb/TWRP :
Reboot in TWRP
Mount the /system partition
Plug your USB cable and log into your phone with "adb shell"
Go to the Play Store App directory : cd /data/data/com.android.vending/databases/
Make a backup of Play Store SQLite database : cp library.db library.bak
Edit the database with SQLite : sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.vending/databases/library.db
Copy/paste this update request : UPDATE ownership SET library_id = 'u-wl' where doc_id = 'com.nll.acr';
Exit SQLite with "Ctrl+D"
Reboot your phone

It was released in February
ACR support (via email) said:
Please tap on the following links to download "ACR Unchained" directly from your phone's official app store. ACR Unchained will accept ACR Pro License as usual.
Samsung Galaxy App Store (Please note that due to rules of this store we cannot link to ACR pro version from within ACR. Clicking on Buy pro will open ACR Free listing. Go to Google Play Store to install pro at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nll.acr.license if you have purchased ACR Pro License before or would like to purchase)
Huawei AppGallery
APKMirror
XDA Labs
We hope to release ACR on more stores in the future. You can search the internet for ACR Unchained on other phones in the meantime.
You can read more about this change by Google at https://nllapps.com/no

Is there an app that works on Samsung S8 Pie 9 (no root) so I can still record both ends of the call? I've tried all last versions of ACR Unchained, but none of them is working on my phone, it records only my voice. Help?

Unfortunately, with LineageOS 16 (Android Pie) I had myself to switch to another application to record my call.
CallRecorder by skvalex works fine in my case, but I use the root method. There are other methods you can try with this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.skvalex.cr
This app is expensive, compared to ACR, and to me the price isn't really justified (I loved ACR's design and simplicity), but it serves its purpose and does it well. No crash or anything to report, sound is loud and clear (again, using root method, I can't tell for other methods).
There's a trial period, so you can check if the app works well for you without root.
If you try it, please post the result, I'm curious to know !

Yeah, I don't know why, but that app seems a bit shady. I mean, google said that every app that doesn't comply to their rules would be deleted from google play and this guy still has his app which allow users to record both endings of the call? Why is that?
And why does ACR released an unchained version if it does the same thing as the normal app? I thought that the unchained version would work as the app worked before Android Pie.
Thank you very much for your rapid answer! And if you know something about my new questions...

The Google Play policy, if I understood correctly, is about using a certain API to get caller information, it isn't about the recording itself. ACR is still on the play store, but it doesn't log the caller information. I guess it's the same for this app.
The problem with call recording with Pie (again, if I understood correctly) is that Google removed the required API to do so (or at least part of the API), leaving only the "root" way for those who can...
The difference is, ACR will never provide a "root" way to record calls, because that's not their philosophy, they've explained this on their blog.

Has anybody got the Pixel Dialer working on the OP7P?

I was able to install the Google Phone application from APKmirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/google-phone-33-0-249138098-release/) working on my OP7P, but it is missing the visual voicemail plus I would love to have the Pixel call screening functionality. I am rooted and have the Google phone framework installed, but I cannot figure out how to get the Pixel dialer working. Has anybody figured this out? Any suggestions?
Thanks

I appreciate it. I see that this doesn't have spam call filtering and there is no mention of pixel specific features like call screening. Is this any different than installing the Google dialer framework and the Google phone application off of the play store?

I too am desperately looking for call screening functionality on my oneplus, but have yet to find anything. The only difference between that apk and the one on playstore is compatibility. One will work, one won't.

Did you figure anything out I tried a few different Google dialers and I can't get my visual voicemail to work. the stock one sucks. It only actually lets me read the voicemail when it's a notification but when I go in the actual OS dialer all I can do is listen to it. I sure hope they fix that in an update later. Maybe it's because it's not actually for Verizon completely
How about using Google Voice for visual voicemail?

Is that another app I've never used it before?
If you are rooted you can install the Google dialer framework for Magisk
Here is a link for the github: https://github.com/Magisk-Modules-Repo/GoogleDialerFramework
After you install that and reboot you can install the Google dialer off apkmirror and then it will even update through the playstore after that.

I tried that the other day everything works except for visual voicemail.
Edit. Okay I was finally able to get Google dialer and visual voicemail to work. I had to install a really old version of dialer from the APK mirror . everything seems to work I just get a message every time I open it saying it might not be compatible. I also did not install the framework. On some of my other trials I tried the framework but I think you guys are going to find out when you try to uninstall that you're going to have a bad time.

OP7P, VoLTE and Google Dialer, and Blocking Spam

Hi - I used to use the Google Dialer on my OP3T.
The Google Dialer (Beta version) is incredibly useful, because I have the option to block all calls that aren't in my Contacts list. Considering that I can get a dozen spam calls a day, that functionality is almost mandatory.
Sadly, the Google Dialer apparently doesn't appear to be compatible with the OP7P - At least, the Google Dialer isn't available in the Google Play Store on my OP7P.
Now, I could side-load the Google Dialer, but I'm wondering if it will break something in the OP7P telephony as a result. Also, does the Google Dialer support VoLTE?
Hopefully, a guru out there knows!

I just tried side-loading the latest Google Android Dialer (beta) from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...ogle-phone-36-0-259628841-publicbeta-release/
When I tried installing it, I got a "Not Installed" error from the installer.

the version i use

I found the solution.
The problem is that OP doesn't install the Google Dialer Framework as part of the OOS system. There is a downloadable Magisk Module for the Google Dialer Framework. Once I installed that, the latest Google Dialer Beta with Spam Protection installed properly on my OP7P.
Cheers!

This worked to install without anything else special. Turned on spam protection in settings. But is there anything else I need to do for it to work?
I am not rooted so no magisk modules.

Maybe disabling oos dialer would work.

Combining the native OOS call recorder with Google Phone App?

Hey there,
I just enabled the native call recorder via Magisk for OOS Phone. But I like to use the Google Phone app.
Is there a way to combine/activate the call recorder from OOS Phone app with the Google Phone app? I'd like to not install a 3rd party app.
I have been looking for an answer to this question for over 2 months and I still can't find anything besides no it doesn't work that way

****, that's what I thought.
But who knows, maybe someone else figured something out.
Also I use OOS native recording and I've learned it does NOT work while using Android auto head units in your car just saying
