3rd party charger - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

I bought a 3rd party charging brick and cable on eBay. They tried to pass it off as authentic and overall did a decent job with the branding. Also it achieved Warp speed. But a week later it didn't work at all. The guy refunded my money, no return required. But I'm wondering if anyone found a decent 3rd party charger on eBay, Aliexpress or other site???
My phone generally makes it through the day but it'd be nice to have a backup.
There's SO many on Aliexpress. I'm not looking to buy one of the $5-$10 ones but let me know if you've had good luck with any particular seller.

a good replacement battery?

I was hoping to get some feedback from people who have purchased a replacement battery for the i9020. I see several on eBay and Amazon, but it's not clear which are decent and which are knockoffs which won't provide a good charge. If you have purchased one that you've found performs well, I'd appreciate knowing which it is!
I got mine from cellularfactory.com. I believe that was the name. 12 bucks or so, but it seems like the battery itself is brand new. I bought a few from eBay for 5 bucks and they couldn't even hold a charge properly.

Good price on micro-to-type C adapters

For anyone wanting to use their existing micro-USB cables until the price and availability of type C accessories improve, here is a very good price. It's made by Xiaomi and sold by TinyDeal. The damn thing is less than $2 shipped (from China, but not in stock until 11/15) and as long as you're not in a hurry, that's hard to beat.

I bought 3 from amazon for much more than that. They were almost $5 each. I took the chance and bought 5 more from them.
I bought these and they work to charge, but do not work for otg
I bought the OP one even though it was more expensive. The adapter is nice but I feel it's worth it.

SONEic - USB Type-C AMAZON
I know Amazon is safer since they have banned all uncertified type C cables....
Basically every charger is made in China and since Huawei is a chinese company and these ebay sellers are from China, it wouldn't surprise me that these chargers on eBay are legit although in my experience I would advise caution . As for the charger you have linked on Amazon, I haven't tried that one but I bought this one and haven't had any issues so far.

To be brutally honest with you, and this may seem a bit elitist and privileged to some, but I wouldn't trust my $600 phone with anything but an original charger or one bought directly from Google, and not Huawei, not ebay or amazon, and this goes for both chargers and cables.

Considering Google only makes 2 mediocre chargers (dual port 22W, and tethered 15W) I would rather get a 3rd party one. I have the Google dual port type C charger, but I also have ones from Choetech and Tronsmart that all work just as well as my OEM charger. I rarely use my OEM, in fact it's been in my drawer of chargers for a while now because other companies made better more versatile chargers. OEM chargers don't always use the best circuitry to control voltages, current etc, but with 3rd party chargers they have incentive to make better charges due to the intense competition. I witnesses this with my HTC 10 stock charger and Samsung one from my S7 Edge; OEM isn't always the best to say the least.
I've been very happy with the BlitzWolf charger

The thing is google store isnt available in my country and there is no work around, although I have a us shipping address :/
I'm using a Choetech charging station that's reasonably priced (slightly higher than what your looking at) and I've got to say it charges in very similar times to the original OEM charger, it also has the added benefit of being able to charge my smart watch and tablet at the same time too. Perfect for people who don't want chargers plugged in all over the place.

Wireless charging.

Hey all, recent got one of these phones and was just thinking I should grab one of those wireless charging style backs. But now that I'm looking they appear discontinued? No one shows stock, and everyone on eBay wants 60 plus shipping for them. So any one have a better suggestion on getting wireless charging on this thing?
If you're in the UK, Vodafone has them in stock for £40. I got one and really like it, it's the grey fabric and looks great!
If you're stateside, you might have some luck at some Best Buy brick and mortar stores. Despite what the website says, some stores DO have it, albeit in very limited quantities due to lack of real demand, not to mention they were giving it as a freebie for those who bought the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play from them unlocked (which was how I even got one in the first place). eBay obviously has it but prices are going to be sky high. Heh, reminds me of when I had an LG V10 and the wireless charging back LG sold for it wasn't available in the US and would usually be sold at the low low price of $59.99 but I managed to nab one from a seller for $35 bucks.
Other than that, you're pretty much out of luck. If you really want wireless charging, get that Incipio battery mod that includes wireless charging or the TUMI one if you prefer. Probably better than the wireless charging back since it works with the Verizon bumper case though it probably doesn't have the 15W Qi fast charging capabilities that the style shell wireless charging back does.
wireless mod from motorola
I could not find the wireless mod either, until i did a web search and found a link to the motorola site. Sure enough i placed an order for $37 and it went through, even though it would not show as an available item on the site when I was looking on it. Just got confirmation email - be here in 5 days. Try this:

The floral wireless charging mod is now available on the US Motorola site for a clearance price of $20. Get them while you can.

Third party Dash Charger and cables

Where can I buy a third party EU charger/cable that will give me the Dash Charge speed? They're all sold out on OnePlus's website so we can't even buy the proprietary charger from the company who makes it! I see a ton of "original" chargers on AliExpress but I'm skeptical as to whether they are actually original or will give me the full charging speed. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I've bought both cables and charger from AliExpress and those look and work exactly the same as the ones included with the phone.
This combo rapidly charges my op6
Both purchased from AliExpress.
I think that buying something labeled as oppo's "vooc" will acheive the results you're looking for.
Get Oppo chargers then. I have the AK779, but you'd need a different one than that.
