Identify pending update? - Google Pixel 4a Questions & Answers

I have a new, unrooted 4a that came out of the box with Android 10. I have a pending update to Android 11, but the notification doesn't tell me which build is in the pending update. How can I identify the pending build before I accept the update.

Save yourself the headache and sideload the October OTA.

Wasn't really necessary. I updated and it took me to the Android 11 September update. I checked for me updates, and immediately got the update to the Oct release. Simpler than doing a sideload.

Software update

Hi guys, I've sent my phone for repair at Nokia centre and now it was running offical Android Pie. Now I received it back and it's on Oreo.
I've tapped to check for update but it kept saying there's no update available. Any idea why?
Now I'm back on Android 8.1.0 (Security patch 1 April 2018).
Just sideload the updates until Pie October security patch, it is easy!

No update for Honor 8 FRD-L09C636B392

How come I couldn't get any update for my phone?
I've tried to check update via three dots method and via HiSuite as well. I've been waiting since August 2018.
I'm confused with so many methods to update and quite concerned with custom firmware of not being able to use Banking apps.
Me too. I did not receive any update since August 2018 and i am still waiting Oreo,
Bump. Still no update. Disappointing Huawei. Never buy Huawei product ever again
Here in Italy we only got Oreo B562 and October security patches. Now the device wouldn't receive any update since Official Software support is gone.

Latest December update shows security update as October

I manually flashed the latest update for the Pixel 2, RP1A.201005.004.A1, followed by modifying the boot image with Magisk Manager and flashing that, followed by EX Kernel P2-4.09. When I go into About phone, Android version, I see:
Android version
11
Android security update
October 5, 2020
Google Play system update
December 1, 2020
Kernel version
4.4.223-ElementalX-P2-4.09
Build number
RP1A.201005.004.A1
Shouldn't the security update also be December? What could I have done wrong? Is the Android security update in the boot / kernel image or what is it part of?
Security updates have stopped as of October for this device
I read that there's a serious Jan. 2021 security update on the latest phones from Google, and Pixel 2 people don't get it. I'm still using my Pixel 2, but I'm being very careful how I use my phone now.

So just to confirm, you're seeing exactly the same versions listed in About phone, Android version that I listed in the initial post?
Just finished flashing my pixel 2 back to full stock (Build No RP1A.201005.004.A1) so thought id have a look and it's showing October 5, 2020 for security patch also. Ran the OTA updater but says up to date with same patch date also, looks like October was it's last patch.

System Update Available

Since yesterday, I'm getting daily reminders to update to Android 12. I'm currently on the October update to Android 11 and I'm not ready to update to Android 12 right now.
Is there any way to prevent these notifications?
I decided to update to Android 12. I guess turning off automatic updates in the developer options no longer works.

Question Rooted ROG 5 doesn't update to latest firmware (31/05/23)

So I downloaded the latest firmware image (WW-31.0810.1226.154-1.1.213-2303) and copied it to the root of the phone and rebooted, but instead of detecting the update file as usual and prompting to update, nothing happened. Phone currently has the last month's update to Android 13 (WW-33.0210.0210.200) and is rooted/bootloader unlocked.
Is the current month update meant for Android 12 only? Now I notice the version number is less than the one I have, and the changelog just says it has the Google security patch for May.
