How come I couldn't get any update for my phone?
I've tried to check update via three dots method and via HiSuite as well. I've been waiting since August 2018.
I'm confused with so many methods to update and quite concerned with custom firmware of not being able to use Banking apps.
Me too. I did not receive any update since August 2018 and i am still waiting Oreo,
Bump. Still no update. Disappointing Huawei. Never buy Huawei product ever again
Here in Italy we only got Oreo B562 and October security patches. Now the device wouldn't receive any update since Official Software support is gone.

Hello, my s8+ says i am on the latest software but i know for sure there is a newer software. I alao tryed with SmartSwitch but i get the same message.
I am on build G955FXXU1AQDG, is there any way to force OTA update ?
I got the new update couple of day ago. My build # G995U1UEU2AQK2
My security patch is april and there r at least 3 updates for my build but my phone still says im on the latest.
Same for me, my friend got his update when he was literally standing near me. But for me, nothing. Once I got a notification that there is a software update, clicked on it, nothing happened...no updates since than, saying I'm on latest firmware. (Tried Smart Switch too, no update there either)
What is your build ?
I am stuck on B389 on my FRD L14 with October security patch. I see there's a firmware on firmware finder for my exact model that's got the January patch. But my system does not find it.
I am afraid to manually do the upgrade in case I get stuck on the version.
Does Honor usually create updates and then purposely not release them??? It seems like they are now 6 months behind on official update for my Honor 8.

They have this bizarre region system. Unlike almost all other manufactures they have a crap ton of models of the same phone (FRD-L04,09,02,14,19,AL01.........) which reduces update speed a lot. If they just sold the same phone in all countries like the OnePlus 5 they could make updates come faster.
Also FF tells us the updates on Huawei's servers. Most other manufactures do this and they perform testing to make sure the update is stable. It's just that we can see the update on their servers unlike other manufactures.

Hi all,
Apologies if this is an obvious question but I am trying to ascertain the upgrade path for my UK unlocked (region 432) Mate 9.
After waiting in vain for months for my phone to get the Oreo update OTA I finally decided to bite the bullet and upgrade it via Firmware Finder to 8.0.0.363 (C432). I would now like to continue applying subsequent upgrades via FF (i.e. those for which my EMEI is authorised) to receive the latest Google security updates plus the recently offered Face Unlock.
My question is...... do I need to sequentially apply all of the Google security patches (e.g. February, March, April, etc.) or can I jump straight to the upgrade that includes May's security patch plus Face Unlock (8.0.0.368)? Are the security patches applied incrementally or would 368 contain everything I need to jump from 363? I would rather upgrade my phone once to get to 368 rather than 3 or 4 times.
Many thanks in anticipation.
Your phone will find and download the latest firmware. You won't need to do multiple firmware installs.
At the moment though FF is playing up. I'm on C368 and waiting for my phone to pick up C369 which is release and authorised according to FF.

Hi guys, I've sent my phone for repair at Nokia centre and now it was running offical Android Pie. Now I received it back and it's on Oreo.
I've tapped to check for update but it kept saying there's no update available. Any idea why?
Now I'm back on Android 8.1.0 (Security patch 1 April 2018).
Just sideload the updates until Pie October security patch, it is easy!
The December patch is showing as approved in firmware finder for C567 models but I'm not getting an update through phone settings. Anyone received this update yet?
Thanks
C567 here too. Still on B375 October security patch, waiting for the B376 GPU update and November patch, which according to FF seems approved for installation. Haven’t seen December patch yet on FF.
Cool man. Still waiting on it here. Takes them so long to release updates
Try updating with FFs eRecovery option, if you can.
NVM just got it an hour ago.
